Oh, hello. I wasn't expecting to see anyone here yet. But hey, a welcoming face is always appreciated... so I suppose it wouldn't hurt to tell you a little bit on what happened before all the happenings last year.

Let's begin when I was very little.

Age 6

I slowly walked down the stairs of my home, I could feel the cold wood touch my feet. Although I can't see like everyone else, I have everything mapped in my mind, that's something I've always been able to do. As soon as I step into a house, or building, heck sometimes even outside, I'm able to have a map pop into my mind to help me navigate.

"Momma? Where are you?" I called, looking around for my mother, I heard some footsteps coming from behind me, and I turned to face them. By the shape of the energy, I could tell it was my mother. "What's wrong sweetie?" My mother asked me. "Can I go outside and play with the other kids? They sound like their having fun." I said, she sighed, and I seen her figure slump slightly. "Viola.... you know-.." I stopped her from continuing. "I know that I can't see 100%... and I know that if I wasn't careful that I'd end up hurt. But mom.... I've been cooped up in the house for my entire life. Even school has been here at home. I may be only six... but you know I learn fast. I'm not dumb." I said, my mothers head seemed to move up and down, signalling she was nodding. "I know sweetie.... but I just don't want the other kids to pick on you. Your grand mother had to deal with it.... and taking one look into her past.... you could tell it was traumatic." She said. Oh yeah my mother can look into people's past to try and help them. "Mom... please." I begged, I knew that I was going to get myself into a lot of crap, but I didn't care, I wanted a chance at living like other kids did. "Viola...." she began. "Mom please, at least give it some thought, how about we start with school? I'd like to go there." I said, she sighed once again. "Fine, I'll think about it." She said, kneeling down to my height. "Thank you momma." I said, she nodded and hugged me. Her coffee smelling hair brushing my cheek as she did. I hugged back. "Your welcome." She said.

That's when things started going down hill for me....

Age 10

"Hey! Look who it is! Smiling Freak!" One of the bullied yelled at me, just by the sound of his voice, I could tell it was Edward Squirrel. As I walked by, he knocked the books out of my hands, onto the floor. I glared at his reddish coloured energy, and glared at it. I kneeled down to grab them, before he kicked the one I reached for away from me. "What's wrong? Can't see your books?" He taunted. "I may be blind, but I can tell that you really need to straighten out that shirt of yours... it's all askew..." I said, seeing his energy shift slightly, and him quickly fixing his shirt. I smirked to myself, and grabbed my books. "Now if you excuse me, I need to get to my next class." I said, walking away from him. Little did I know, Edward grabbed my sweater's hoodie, and pulled me back, slamming me against the lockers. "Don't get sassy with me! Or I'll burn your studies right now!" He said, his red energy began to burn brightly and his energy where his fist was, began to turn an orange, signalling he had set his hand on fire. "I'm sorry Edward, please don't!" I shrieked, his energy around his mouth turned a slight pinky red, forming a wicked smile. "Good! Now get out of here!" He growled, dropping me, I quickly gathered my books again, and I ran away from him, tears stinging the back of my eyes, making the colourful energies of everyone else become fuzzy.

You'd think it'd be a little better the older I got.... but no.... not really.... I just began to hide my pain better.

Age 16

"Oh! Miss Dineece, please stay after class for a moment." Mr.Craymen, my favourite teacher, said to me, just as my 10 classmate bullies left the class. When the door closed, I seen Grustuss.... the principal's son, pound his fist into his other hand, or well... at least the motion of doing so. I turned to look at Mr.Craymen. His white energy, making the movement of straightening papers. "So what is it Mr.Craymen?" I asked. "Well, seeing as how it's close to your birthday, I thought I'd get you something." He said pulling out a box, I couldn't see it all too well, but by the weights and size, it was something small. "Mr.Cray.... you didn't have to get me anything..." I said, smiling somewhat. Ever since I got to Goling High, Mr.Craymen, or as I once in a while called him, Mr.Cray....  he became like a father figure to me. His real name is Kevin, but it was more fun for me to call him Mr.Cray. "Of course I did, now, how's my favourite student doing?" He asked. I flashed him a fake smile before allowing it to become a slight frown. "Could be better.... Grustuss and his friends have been taunting me for the past week... but it's not that bad." I said, Cray looked at me, sadden slightly. "Well... I'm sorry, I'll see if I can do anything to help you... but hey! Open you gift." He said, I sighed, and nodded. Seeing his mouth area glow brighter with a smile.

I felt the box in my hands, and pulled on a bow, feeling the lid slide slightly, my fingers went into the box and pulled out a chain. "A..... necklace?" I questioned, pulling it out, and resting the pendent on my palm, I looked down at it, and there was a faint... purple, and blue energy emitting from it. "It's a Azure Malachite stone. They say that the wearer will come into great happening within a year or two of possession, and it will protect them from harmful magics." He said, I glanced at him, a smile on my face. "Thank you, I-its beautiful.... well... what little of it I can see." I said, laughing slightly. "I'm glad you like it Viola. I'm sorry I can't help you as much as I'd like." He said, I shook my head. "Mr.Cray, you've helped me more then you'll ever know. Your like a father to me." I said, he smile. "I know. Now, off you go, don't want to keep you from your lunch. If those boys give you anymore trouble come see me alright?" He asked. I nodded. "Will do. Have a great day Mr.Cray, thanks again." I said, waving at him, before leaving the room.

I put the necklace on once at my locker, and set my books on the shelf of my locker, before grabbing my food. But... before I knew what was happening.... One of Grustuss' little hench-friends came up behind me, and slammed me into my locker. "H-hey!" I shrieked panicked, I heard the sound of laughter and the sound of a lock being shut, the pale pink energy of the person then faded away. "Hey! G-get back here!! Get me out of here! P-please!" I cried, before I began banging on my locker door, to no avail. I sighed. "No ones in the halls now... they won't be able to hear me." I mumbled to myself. I squatted as much as I could to feel around the floor of my locker, finding that at least I still had my lunch with me. I sighed and picked it up, my map of my locker was very limited, and I could only faintly see the map of the hall in my head, but I wasn't going to let it get to me that quickly. I squatted down as much as I could without getting stuck, to try and make myself comfortable, and are my lunch.

After a while of sitting, or well, modified locker sitting, I heard footsteps in the hall, I looked through my eyes, and seen a faint glow of an energy not to far off. "H-hey! Help! I'm stuck in my locker!!" I yelled through the small vent like holes in my locker door, as I stood. The energy, soon appeared right I front of me, I gasped at it, knowing it was Edward's older brother Vastile. His energy was a darker red then Edward's but he was just as cruel. He not only had Fire magic, like his brother, but also teleportation magic. "Oh, funny seeing you here, smiling freak." He said, I sighed. "Vastile... please, can you help me get out of here? I-I know you don't like me... but please?" I begged. "Oh! Begging now are we. Well maybe I can find it somewhere's in my heart to help you." He said moving his hand to where the lock was. "Thank you." I breathed, but just as I did, his energy in his hand glowed a dark, blood red, as he melted the face of my lock, making it impossible to open now without bolt cutters. "No!!" I screamed at him, and banged on my locker door once again. "Oops! Sorry! My hand slipped! Hahahahahaha!! Have fun being stuck in there smiling freak!" He cackled, walking off. I backed away from the door, feeling closed in. I felt my breath hitch, as I knew that now I was actually stuck in my locker, and I wasn't going to be let out by any means, anytime soon. I felt sick to my stomach as my locker seemed to close in on me.

I began to pound on the door, so hard I could feel blood dripping down my fists, which were in sheering pain. "SOME ONE HELP ME PLEASE!!" I screamed, hoping someone would help me. But no one came. No one heard my screams of agony. And lunch wouldn't be over for another hour. I began to cry, my tears falling into the cuts of my fists, and stung them. I was going to be stuck here until someone realized I was missing.... which wasn't likely.

Four hours had passed, when everyone walked by my locker, and I called out to them, they pretended not to hear a thing, and when I pounded my already bloody fists on the door, they assumed it was a prankster trying to scare them. I was stuck... no one notice I was gone from my classes.... no one cared, it was after school now... and no one ever came to find me.... I felt like crying, but I had nothing left in me to cry out. My mouth was dry, my body was sore, and my hands were bruised and bloodied.  I stood there, my head hung low, and I felt nothing heard nothing, saw nothing. Everything was blank.

Soon enough though that blankness was interrupted. I had heard footsteps quickly tuning through the hall, fallowed by yelling of my name. "VIOLA!! VIOLA!! WHERE ARE YOU!!" It was my mother. "VIOLA! COME ON! WHERE ARE YOU!?" I heard Mr.Cray call out. "I'm here!" I tried to yell, but I came out as a horse whisper. "VIOLA!!!" They both yelled, still in search of me. "IM HERE!! IM IN MY LOCKER!" I yelled, barely even able to breathe, I heard them run up to me, and they stopped at my locker. My moms aqua energy and Mr.Cray's white energy, a welcome sight. "Viola! How did you get here!?" My mom asked me. "Someone shoved me in here and locked my lock.... then when I tried to call out for help Vastile, he melted the face of my lock! I'm so sorry! Please help me, I'm so scared. "I said, my mother looked at me, she could see what happened to me in the past few hours, and her energy went from aqua, to midnight blue, to blue sky blue with her mixed emotions. "Kevin, help me get the door will you?" My mom asked, he nodded, and pried the lock off with his bare hands. His magic, was that he was extremely strong, so the lock popped off with ease, he opened the door, and I fell into my mothers arms. "Thank you." I sighed, burying my head into my moms coffee smelling hair. She hugged me, and shushed me. "Thank you Kevin. But I think I'll be taking her home now." She said. "Your welcome Heather, call me if you need any help." He said, as my mother nodded, carrying me out of the school.

But things only got worse from there.....

Age 16 and 11 months

"MOM! MON NO PLEASE!!" I screamed, hugging my mom close, as I seen her energy dwindle, I tried my best to heal her, but it wasn't working. My mother coughed, and she smiled weakly at me, her aqua energy growing dimmer and dimmer. I began to cry. "Mom! Please it'll be okay!! The ambulance will be here soon. Hold on!" I said, pouring as much of my energy into my magic to heal her. We had just been in a bad crash, and my mother was thrown from the car, as I was only jerked to the back seat, she was bleeding badly, but I had to try and save her, somehow. My mom coughed again, and looked at me. "Shhhh, shh shh shh. It's... okay honey...." she said, it only coming out as the faintest whisper. "No! It's not, I can heal you, just, please! Hold on! The operator said only ten minutes." I said, crying more. She put her hand on my cheek cupping it, I raised one of my hands to it, gripping it tightly. "You'll be okay honey. Your a strong young woman......" she said, her energy almost completely gone. I cried harder, not wanting to let her go. "Mom..... no..... please....." I said, she faintly smiled. "Shhh, it's okay....... hey..... I promise..... even though I may not be here....... I'll make..... sure...... that something..... special will happen...... on your 17th birthday....." she whispered, there was no energy left in her except her heart. "Mom... no..." I breathed, she looked up at me. "Shhhhh..... it's okay....... you tried........... I.......love......you......Viola......... my little....... shining star....." she said, breathing in one last breath, before exhaling. Her energy faded away, there was no life left in her. Her hand was ice cold, and she was gone. "No....no....nonononononono!! MOM! NO! PLEASE! WAKE UP!!! NO!!" I screamed, hugging her closer to me, her hand falling limply by her side. I cried, the pain was there, it was right where my heart was, and it felt like someone had just stabbed out my heart. "No! Mom.... I'm so sorry..... mom I tried..... I-I-i.... I love you too....." I balled, not believing what had just happened. My mother was gone.... she died.... and I couldn't save her..... I wasn't strong enough...... she was the only one I had left... and just like that she was gone. I screamed out, letting my emotional build up flair as my own energy excepted from me, taking my final words to my mother with it.

I sat in the hospital, staring at my hands, I could hear the sound of the monitor for my heart beating.... only making me hurt more... knowing that my mothers heart no longer beat. Soon though, someone walked in. "Viola." I looked up.... and there was Mr.Cray. "She's gone." I said, shaking. He walked over to me, and sat down beside me on my gurney, hugging me to him. I hugged him back. "I know Viola..... I'm so sorry." He whispered. "I couldn't save her.." I sobbed, Mr.Cray simply hugged me, and reassured me that everything was alright... and that he was sorry.

Three days later, I was with Mr.Cray sitting in front of the foster care home's manager. "Are you sure you can take care of her?" She asked. "Positive." He said, they lady looked at me, and I nodded my head. "Alright, just sign here, and Viola is in your custody." With that. Mr.Cray signed the paper, officially adopting me. And we walked out. "You want to go get your stuff?" He asked me. "No.... I just want to lay down... I'm tired...." I said, Mr.Cray nodded. "Okay, well... I'll take you home.... and I'll go get your stuff while you sleep, alright?" He asked, I nodded. "Thank you." I said, Mr.Cray nodded and hugged me. I hugged him back. "Your welcome kiddo. I just want to make sure your okay." He said, I nodded again, as I pulled from the hug and climbed into the car.

At school nothing changed. Everyone still treated me like crap. In fact...... they now taunted me about my dead mother. Everything seemed to get worser and worser the further I moved on in my life.... and the only one I had left that actually truly cared was my now adoptive father, Mr.CrayDad.... and I honestly..... I honestly felt worthless... I couldn't save my mother.... I couldn't heal her. It was my fault she died. Everyone was right about me. I wasn't capable of doing anything.

So, you see, my life has been.... pretty rough. Not having any friends, being bullied, locked in a locker for half of the day, loosing my mother............ the list can continue..... but.... a month later...... my birthday was to roll around, and man...... let me tell you. Was it ever a roller coster of emotions... and .... magic... and other things..... but I can't tell you that part of the story yet.... we'll just have to wait for the others to show up. So sit tight, and we'll begin the rest of the story soon.... I think I'll call it.....

Blind Sight.
