A/N: Ok this is the 2nd chapter and we now meet toph. Enjoy.

(Major Time skip)
(Y/N P.O.V)

We were in the earth kingdom looking for a teacher for Aang. The northern water tribe was interesting, but too many fire nation ships for my liking. Anyway we were camping out for the night Sokka had decided to go hunting, even though Aang and I are vegetarians, mostly Aang since I do eat meet on rare occasions. I had just gotten comfy when I heard Sokka come running. He was screaming about a monstrous animal. When he pointed a bunnybear came out. In his defense that animal does sound really loud and deadly, though harmless. I then decided to get some rest, I said good night and fell asleep.

(Skip to morning)

I woke up to Sokka yelling about some drawing. "Uuuhhh stop yelling."

Sokka:"Hey (y/n) tell these two that this is a perfect drawing of Aang."

He was waving said drawing in my face. "Uhh sure, the best."

Katara:"what? Are you blind it's horrible."

I looked away awkwardly at this. Yeah I still haven't told them yet. "(Y/n) you should tell them."

Katara&Sokka:"Tell is what?"

You:"Fffiiinnneee, the truth is, I'm blind."

Katara&Sokka:"W-what?"

You:"Yeah I can't see anything."

Katara:"Why didn't you tell us?"

You:"I didn't want to be treated differently."

Sokka:"I does make sense, I mean you always avoided having to read something with a excuse or reason."

Katara:"How do you get around so easily then?"

You:"I use airbending to see objects and people, but it has limits like I have trouble underground."

Katara:"Is that why you don't like earthbenders?"

It is true that I dislike them. "No I don't like them for a separate reason."

Katara:"What reason is that?"

You:"I'd rather not say."

They respected my privacy, thankfully. We then started to make our way to the town near by. When we got there Sokka saw a bag and started a debate to himself weather or not to buy it, which he did after like five minutes. We then got approached by a guy handing out flyers for a earthbending class. But that class was basically worthless. Katara then somehow got these two jerks to tell us about earth-rumble6, strange thing is I kept hearing a screaming sound when she was gone. When we arrived we got front row seats to the event. We soon figured out why no one sat front row, since we were mere feet away from getting crushed. The tournament started but I have no clue what was happening half the time. When it got to the final match I was slightly interested, since the last fighter was blind. When she won Aang challenged her just to talk, but that didn't end well. There's also the fact Sokka wouldn't stop talking about that belt. We all then tried to go searching for her. "Aang are you sure no one else can teach you?"

Aang:"She's the girl from my vision, she would make the perfect teacher."

I sighed and we kept walking. We asked the two guys that Katara asked about earth-rumble6. They knew squat, so Aang asked about a flying boar. The Beifong's had that as there symbol, but no known daughter. "We are going to check it out aren't we?"

Aang:"Yep."

You:"I can't convince you otherwise can I?"

Aang:"Nope."

When we arrived we found the girl in the garden. Aang tried to talk, and so did Sokka and Katara, but she just called the guards. We then tried the front door and I have no clue how but we ended up having dinner with the family. "Avatar Aang how much long do you think the war will last?"

Aang:"Well I would like to defeat the fire lord by the end of the summer, but I can't do that without finding an earthbending teacher first."

Mr.Beifong:"Well master Yu is the finest teacher in the land, he's been teaching Toph since she was little."

Aang:"Then she must be great, maybe even good enough to teach someone els-"

Toph had interrupted him by earthbending him to bump the table. "Sadly she is still at the basics and with her blindness I am afraid she may never be a master."

You:"While I cannot vouch for her being a master, I can say that without sight does not mean without fight, being blind does not mean you are weak or can't master something, it just means you need more determination."

After that they looked at me a little wide eyed, I could feel there eyes on me and I think I 'saw' Toph smile? "What, do I have something in my teeth?"

I then wipe my mouth with my napkin, secretly wiping my teeth, "Nope nothing."

They went back to eating, though that didn't last long since Toph and Aang started to argue and made a mess. After dinner we were permitted to sleep there for the night. I went out to a tree and meditated on a branch. I soon heard Aang and Toph talking.

Toph:"-it's sort of like seeing with my feet, I can see you, that tree, even though's ants."

Aang:"Wow, that's amazing."

You:"Yes impressive."

Aang looks at me in surprise, Toph just smiles "I didn't think you were going to talk."

Aang:"Wait, you knew he was up there?!!"

Toph:"Yep."

I smile at this, but then remember she is a earthbender, though she is also blind, I am sooo conflicted. "Yeah I was meditating, but I can leave."

I was about to leave when both of them got caught in what sounded like cages. I tried to help them but they were metal cages. I then heard the attacker's and got into a fighting stance. I was able to knock out four of them but then one of them grabbed me from underground 'I really hate earthbending right now'. I was thrown into a wall and knocked unconscious. When I woke up I noticed three things I had a pounding headache, the cages and kidnappers were gone, and Sokka/Katara/Yu/&the Beifong's were standing over me. "So what did I miss other than Aang and Toph being kidnapped?"

Sokka:"Not much that sums it up except, I GOT THE BOLDER'S AUTOGRAPH!!!!"

I held my ears 'why does he have to scream'. "Can you not blow out my eardrums, please."

Sokka:"Oh, sorry."

We all started to make our way to the arena where the note said we could get them back. When we got there I saw the cages up top. When the money was passed over Toph's cage was lowered. "What about Aang?"

Xin fu:"I think the fire nation will pay a hefty price for him."

We then got in a stance to fight but we were heavily outnumbered. Sokka and Katara went to get Toph while I held them off. The fire nation and spider like earthbenders were first and I pushed them back knocking down a few, but being earthbenders they were tougher than normal. But when they got up Toph was next to me I then went to help Aang out, I knew she had this. When I finally managed to get Aang out I saw all the fighters and Xin fu knocked out. We decided to leave before they woke up. When we got back to the Beifong residence Toph started to talk to her parents. "Dad I know it's probably hard for you to see me this way but the obedient little helpless blind girl that you think I am just isn't me, I love fighting I love being an earthbender and I'm really really good at it, I know I've been keep my life secret from you, but you've been keeping me secret from the whole world I know you were doing it to protect me, but I'm sixteen years old and I've never had a real friend, so now that you see who I really am I hope it doesn't change how you feel about me."

Mr.Beifong:"Of it doesn't change the way I feel about you Toph, it's made me realize something."

Toph:"It has?"

Mr.Beifong:"Yes, I've let you have far too much freedom, from now on you will be cared for and guarded twenty four hours a day."

Toph:"But dad."

Mrs.Beifong:"We are doing this for your own good Toph."

Mr.Beifong:"Please escort the avatar and his friends out, they are no longer welcome here."

Aang:"I'm sorry Toph."

Toph:"I'm sorry too, good bye Aang."

We then exited the room and left the building. We started to head towards Appa. "Don't worry we'll find you a teacher, there are plenty of amazing earthbenders out there."

Aang:"Not like her."

You heard them talking from Appa. You also heard Sokka polishing that belt. When we were about to take off we 'saw' Toph running up. "Toph what are you doing here?"

Toph:"My dad changed his mind, he said I was free to travel the world."

I was skeptical of this but not Sokka I guess. "Well we better get out of here before he changes his mind again."

Toph:"Good idea."

Aang:"Your going to make a great teacher Toph."

Toph:"Speaking of which, I want to show you something."

Aang then jumps down. "Ok."

As soon as he touches the ground she earthbends him into a tree. "Now we're even, uum I'll take the belt back."

Sokka then takes the belt of and tosses it to her. It hits her on the head "ow."

Sokka:"Sorry."

For some reason I feel a little worried she was hurt, but quickly shack it off. Aang then falls out of the tree.

(Beifong residence)
(3rd person P.O.V)

Mr.Beifong:"I know you two are very different, but I believe you have a common interest."

A servant then brings out a box of gold pieces. Xin fu and Yu look at each other.

Mr.Beifong:"The avatar has kidnapped my daughter, I want you to do what ever it takes to bring her home."

The two bow, all three unaware of another spying on them. The figure smiles and then vanishes.
