~Le Time Skip to Monday~

Monday... 

The 'best' day of the week.

I woke up late as always but for a different reason this time.  All weekend I've been hanging out with a certain black cat.  Nothing much happened other than a couple of pecks here and there and him telling me about his Akuma fights (as if I didn't already know).  

The whole time though I couldn't stop thinking about how it felt like I was betraying Adrien.

Back to today.  I'm currently running to class behind Alya because she waited for me.  We burst into the room and quickly walk to our seats, avoiding Adrien's gaze.

Despite me constantly thinking of Adrien, I kinda forgot about what happened Friday.  I know I need to talk to him but I'm just scared.

"Marinette, are you even paying attention to my lesson?"  My head shot up to find Mrs. Bustier and the rest of the class staring at me.

"Oh um- yeah sorry..."  I smile nervously and quickly start taking notes as she continues the lesson.

Out of the corner of my eye, I see Nino and Adrien passing notes.  I didn't catch anything but Alya saw me looking and told she could make out a 'talk' and 'Marinette'.  

I gulp and start to panic.  I know I'm overreacting and I do need to talk to him but I'm afraid that if I look into his beautiful emerald green eyes I'll do something stupid.

The class lasted another 30 minutes before we had a free period.  I decide to spend it in the courtyard with Alya, eating some croissants I brought from the bakery.

"Girl I gotta go to pee, I'll be right back."  Alya winked while running away.  Nothing good ever came with Alya winking at me.

Footsteps started behind me and I stiffened as a hand touched my shoulder.

As if right on cue, a woman's scream was heard along with a big crash.

Without looking at who was behind me, I bolted into an empty classroom and slammed the door shut.  Tikki flew out of my bag and I called, "Spots on!"

I jump out a window and make my way towards Gigantitan.  I stop looking into the distance as I start to assess the situation.

I hear a little tap next to me but ignore it, already knowing who it is.

"So, any ideas where the Akuma is hiding, bugaboo?"  He walked closer to me and looked out as Gigantitan grabbed a tree and started to suck on it.  (A/N I meant that in a baby chewing way not... ya know)

"Yep, his bracelet just like last time!"  I grab my yoyo as I turn to see his reaction.

I started getting a little dizzy when I see Chat shoot me his signature smile.  I could have melted into a little pile of goo.  I look a little to his left and my stomach dropped when I saw a board with Adrien's face on it.

I sharply turn around and make my way towards the Akuma, Chat Noir following me.

~After de battle~

"Bye-bye, little butterfly..."  I softly say, releasing the pure butterfly that makes its way back to Hawkmoth.  Maybe we should rethink letting them go.

I remember my lucky charm and throw it into the air with the usual words.  

I walk over to Chat who is holding the baby and take him from his arms.

"Hi, baby Augustus!"  I say in a nurturing, baby tone you normally use when talking to a baby.  "Aren't you just the cutest thing?"

"LB can you get him home, I have to go talk to a friend."  Chat said in a low embarrassed tone.

I froze up wondering if he was talking about me, well, Marinette.

"Uhh LB-"

"Yep er- I can go- I mean you go, I got this under control!  Besides he shouldn't be too much of a hassle, isn't that right, Augustus?"  I spun him in a circle and pulled him in to kiss him on the cheek once my back was to Chat.  The baby giggled and I sighed as I heard Chat runoff.  

After the baby was back to his mama, I made my way back to the school where I see a mad Alya scolding a scared Nino.  I walk up to them and question what was going on.

Alya huffed, "Well Monsieur Lahiffe over here wouldn't let me go get a video of Ladybug and Chat Noir today!"

"That big baby was going around!  He could literally crush you and may I remind you, Ladybug herself has told you to stop running after them because it was unsafe?"  Nino threw his hands all over the place trying to prove his point.

"I guess your right..."  Alya started to cry.  "It's just my blog has taken a real hit since nothing interesting has been happening with them lately.  I'm just trying to save it."  Nino reassuringly hugged her while she sobbed into his shoulder.

I also tried to comfort her but the same hand from earlier wrapped itself in mine and dragged me to the park.

"A-Adrien?"  I already knew who it is.  Why am I playing dumb?

"Sorry, Marinette.  I just really need to talk to you."  He smiled causing a light blush to cover my face.  This felt so wrong yet so right.

He sat down on a bench in front of us and patted the seat next to him.  We sat in silence staring ahead of us for a minute before he spoke up.

"I think I owe you an apology..."  He carefully brought his hands up to his face as he pulled it down with a groan.  

I hum in response.

"I'm so so sorry for ignoring you after that night.  I was... confused and I thought you would hate me.  I guess ignoring you is what made you hate me, huh?"

"I don't hate you..."

"Oh, but you should!"

"Adrien?"  I lift my head a little to look at him and he does the same.  My heart started beating faster as I looked into his eyes.

"Yes?"  He asked.

"How do you do that?"

"I'm sorry?"

"How do you do it?"

"Do what?"

I feel my eyes getting glossy so I look away.  

"How do you take a girl that hates your guys from the beginning, and make her fall in love with you like a fool? And no matter how much she wants to or how much she tries to fall out of love with you, you still manage to pull her back in?"

I could feel his confusion but he was understanding at the same time.

"Like this girl has had someone else made her heartbeat.  This person makes her feel special and they have kissed multiply times but whenever you come running she can't help but go back to you!

"Adrien, I really want to be friends with you,"  I stop, not being able to finish my sentence without fully breaking down.

"But?..."  I can feel the disappointment in his voice.  He already knew what was coming.

"I- I think I need my space so I can figure everything out."  Sniffles filled the silence.  I looked him in the eyes.  His green orbs were filled with tears.  I got up and left without even saying goodbye.

Well wasn't that just horrible.  It literally makes no sense but its just for fun sooo....
