"Hello? Kim seokjin-ssi? Please come to hospital fast. Minhyuk has gotten into an accident. Since you are his only guardian therefore we are calling you"

A while ago...

At a cafe near seoul hospital...

"So jisoo, have you ever thought about your prince charming?" Minhyuk asked with excitement in his voice whereas his insides were screaming I WANT TO BE YOUR PRINCE CHARMING SINCE AGES.

She chuckled "Really, do you believe in these things..." sipping her coffee she said in mocking tone but her inside were screaming YOU ARE MY ONLY PRINCE CHARMING SINCE AGES.

"Why not? If the beliefs are beautiful...then...whats the harm"

"Beautiful things carry ugly secrets...with them" she sighed out.

"You have an ugly secret?" He exclaimed.

"What? I didn't say that i am beautiful"

"Then start saying from now on. Say to yourself that you are beautiful...because...

One can't stop you loving yourself" He smiled resting his hands on hers on the table.

Her heart skipped a beat. Out of words she didn't say anything just enjoyed the warmth of his hand.

"I love you, i have always loved you, i don't even know myself since when" The words slipped out of his mouth. He cant resist now. Its been centuary since he realised his love for her but never dared to say her. He was impatient, yet he dont want her answer now.

"Minh-"

"No no dont say anything now. Give me your answer while looking at my handsome face" His words hurted both of them. He wanted her to gain her eyes and then properly start his life with her.

"And how can you say that you are handsome? 5 years ago when i saw you, back then you were a potato" she laughed. I love you too minhyuk, if only you let me say it right now.

"Trust me, that potato is long gone somewhere to antarctic ocean. Only handsomeness is left behind" he laughed along.

"Okay jisoo, now my shift is gonna start in few minutes. I should go real quick" He stood up in hurry, before going he gently kissed her forehead expressing his love. He don't want to leave her but he has to, work is important too.

With a final goodbye, dropping her to her car, from where she went to her home and was informed about minji's mess; he made his way towards hospital which was not far away, but fate played game. He was in hurry so he didn't give attention to the surrounding, also his mind was replaying his confession scene on loop and Before he could cross the road a car hit him.

Back in hospital...

"Doctor? Whats the situation? Is he okay? Please tell me he is okay" Jin cried hard on doctors shoulders.

"Sorry jin but...we couldn't save him, he was already brain dead when brought to hospital. His heart is still beating and still breathing but only through support of machines" Doctor sighed.

"..."

"Jin as you are his only guardian, i need your permission. Can we talk?" Jin composed himself and agreed to talk.

Minhyuk was orphan child. No trance of his parents he did everything on his own. Whatever he is today, he did it by himself. When jisoo introduced her friend to everyone, all were happy and impressed from him. Seeing his dedication and hard work Jin registered himself as minhyuk's guardian when he got old enough to do that.

"Jin you already know minhyuk registered himself as jisoo's donor. The thing is he is already brain dead, as soon as we remove machines he will die and we will have to rush towards the process of donation, we wont have time to wait even for a second"

Jin didn't know what to do. Should be happy that now his beloved sister can actually see or cry over the fact that the donor is none other than minhyuk-his almost brother-jisoo's first love. He didn't knew why in the first place he let minhyuk fill that form of donation. Why didn't he think of this day?

"As a guardian we need your consent because..." Doctor hesitated to say

"...i know, i am his guardian after all." Jin said with no emotions.

"No jin, i mean ofcourse it is that you are his guardian. But there is something you should know" Doctor sighed

"What??"

"According to laws, the donor's eye-lids will be closed by his guardian himself when declaring him dead" Doctor said with no emotions because he has said this to many other, he cant do anything it was rule.

However jin's world crashed at that statement. How could he do this? He would collapse then and there while closing minhyuk's eyes. He can never do this. "Ho-how can i? This is-" doctor patted his shoulders as he started crying.

"I am sorry jin but give your answer fast, we need to call the eye bank too. No need to rush for transplantation. It can be done anytime in next 4 days. Sorry we couldn't save him" With heavy heart jin came out of cabin and rested himself on the bench beside the door. All the past memories rushing infront of his eyes, how he used to play with jisoo, how cute was he since childhood, how caring and obedient, how young was he though. Jin cried hard again. He couldn't stop his tears, minhyuk was no stranger, he treated him like his other brothers only. He never differentiate between anyone.

The day minhyuk came infront of him with his certified medical degree, nobody was feeling more proud than jin. He was happiest of the all. Minhyuk was not an eye doctor but he started learning about it for jisoo. Jin knew how they both loved each other but were hesitant to tell. He always wanted them to date, get married and leave happily but...

Every single dream got crushed. Jin could only think of minhyuk's innocent, smiling and bright face which never failed to make people smile. Jin cried more at this thought.

Running of feets were heard in the empty corridor other than jin's loud cries. The feets stopped in front of him, a hand placed on his shoulder and he looked upward with teary eyes. His blurred vision restricted him to recognise who it was. He wipes away his tears to only find Krystal stnding infront of him with a sad and pitiful look.

Krystal went to jin's office to talk about their future business collabs, when his secretary informed about the whole accident thing and situation where jin was. Jin trusted his secretary and so he knew everything about their family and background. By orders of jin's mother he was informed that krystal was important person and already treat her like family. His mother believed that krystal will win jin's heart. But krystal didn't think about winning his heart at all, she was genuinely concerned about him.

When she looked down at him, her eyes only showed sympathy at his exhausted and broken state. She squeezed his shoulders in order to assure him, he was not alone.

Maybe it was the grief flowing in him of minhyuk's death, or the worry of jisoo's will-be-broken-heart at the news, or the cry of his heart to not being alone at that moment, he didn't knew what was the reason but at that moment he just wanted to do that. He pulled her by her waist, hugging her and nuzzling his face on her stomach (this sounds wrong😑😑)  crying his heart out. His cries muffling in the fabric she wore.

Her body stiffens at his action but relaxed soon hearing his cry, whereas her heart broke. What else can she do other than letting him cry so that his heart rest in peace. She gently carresed his head soothing him. Unknowingly a tear fell from her eyes which she quickly wiped away.

God knows how long it had been but they stayed in same postion. Her back hurted from standing for so long but she didn't complain. As long as she was useful for someone, she will do anything.

"Kim seokjin-ssi?"

He looked up when his name was called, krystal didn't spoke, so he followed her gaze and saw where she was looking, police inspector.

It was when it hit him, how did the accident happen?
"Yes its me" he stood up leaving her. Now he was sober and in state to talk.

"We are sorry for your lose. We wanted your statement as his guardian to proceed further in this case."

"But...how did this happen?" Jin asked.

"At the road outside the hospital, when your brother was crossing road, an uncontrollable car came running over him, we found out from the driver that the brakes got failed. The owner of the car also the driver at the scene admits his crime and is ready to recieve his punishment." Police informed.

But it was not fully his fault. Krystal thought but didn't speak when jin's hand formed a fist. "Punishment? What punishment can he get? Will it bring my minhyuk back? TELL ME?" Jin was angry and that was understandable.

"..."

"Who is the criminal? WHO IS THE MURDERER?"

"Come out" police called.

The one being called out so loudly was hiding himself behind the wall for whole time. He was guilty, also he was in no state to face anger of jin, But he had to do it. Not now than later, he will have to reveal himself one day. Its better to do it now. He thought.

With heavy and slow steps he came out only to be treated by emotionless police inspector, krystal's confusing look and wide eyes-shocked-Jin.

Krystal thought hard that she saw this man somewhere and when she realised who he was, she gasped out of shock "isn't he..." Jin completed her sentence.

"Hoseok?"
