At Home

Manvi was sitting inside her room, she was on phone with Shruti.

"Haan yaar.. Kal dekhte hai bio" she paused and recalled what he said. "Shru acha hua tune mujhe yaad dila diya main toh bhool hi gayi thi chal tujhse baad mein baat karti hoon" saying which she ended the call.

She hopped off the bed and went to study table, pulled the biology book and opened it. She sighed "kya din aa gaye hai mere mujhe hi professor ko explain karna hoga" she starts reading.

After some time, she closed it back "uff too complicated it is" and moved out of the room. She turned on the television and started to watch a movie.

Ruhana came and sat beside her "kya dekh rahi ho?" she asked

"Mast movie hai.. Aap bhi dekho" Manvi said.

Ruhana took the remote and puts another programme, "mast toh ye hai let me watch this"

Manvi took the remote back and puts the movie "my movie time!"

"Koi movie nhi jaake padhai karo apni" she said while snatching the remote from her hand.

"Mumma please na.. Dekhne do.." Manvi requested.

Ruhana denies and spoke up "Dekho mujhse toh zid karna hi mat tum! Papa sunte hogi tumhari main nhi sunungi jao ab"

Manvi got up, she stamped her foot in anger and moved, she settled on the chair at the dining area.

Vineet came back from office, he saw Manvi sitting on the dining area and said "manvi zara pani dena"

"Aapki biwi hai na wahi dengi" she said angrily.

He looked at her and asked "ab kya hua??"

"Aapki biwi se hi pucho meri sunta kaun hai yahan" she said and moved into the room.

Ruhana came out from the kitchen with glass of water in her hand. She hands him the glass and sat on side sofa. Vineet .looked at her and asked "tum dono ka jhagda hua firse?"

"Maine kuch nhi kiya hai samjhe na tumhari laadli hi hai" Ruhana said.

Suddenly Manvi jumped from behind and said "don't lie mumma aapne mannu ko tv nahi dekhne diya it is your fault"

Ruhana looked at her and said "chipke baatein sun rahi thi aur koi kaam nhi hai tumhe?"

Manvi came and sat behind Vineet, she said in anger "complaint kar rahi thi aapki aapke pati se"

Vineet looked at Manvi and spoke up "itna gussa acha nhi hai sehat ke liye movie dekhni hai na ab dekhlo"

Ruhana glared at him and said "Are.. ye kya baat hui"

"Ab tak toh end bhi ho gayi hogi" Manvi said turning to other side.

"Toh new lagalo zyada dekhne ko milegi" Vineet said winking at her. Manvi smiled broadly, she picked up the remote and turned on the television.

Ruhana looked at Vineet and hits lightly on his arm "main yahan usko sudharne ki koshish kar rahi hoon aur tum ho ki.. Baap beti ka kuch nhi ho sakta hai" she got up and moved into the room.

Manvi looked at Vineet and said "jab mumma ko pata hai hamara kuch nhi ho sakta toh kehti kyun hai?"

"Aadat hai beta unki chalo movie enjoy karte hai" Vineet said and they both engaged into the television.

After an hour, Ruhana came back she only found Vineet sitting she moved in front and smiled as Manvi had slept while keeping her head on his lap. "Toh madam soh gayi bore hoke?"

Vineet smiled "haan.." he replied.

"Uthao khana nhi khaya hai isne abhi" Ruhana said.

"Are abhi toh soyi hai kyun neend disturb karni bechari ki?" he said while caressing Manvi's head.

Ruhana sat on the couch and said "tumhari beti aur bechari? Joke of the universe.. Ghar mein rehti hoon pure din mujhe taang karti hai tumhe nhi.. Aur shyam ko tum aate ho toh dono milke mujhe satate ho"

Vineet looked at her and replied "acha! Tumhe satana chod de? Bolo? Rah paogi hamare sataye bina"

"Ofcourse I will.." Ruhana said.

"Soch lo Ruhana.. Baap beti ki silence tumhe bardasht nhi hogi" he said with a smile on his face.

"Dekenge.. Ek din karke toh batao toh main maanu tum dono ko" she answered him.

"Okay done! Ab sunday ko dekhna main aur Manvi ek word nhi bolenge.. Fir deewaro ko daantna tum.." Vineet said.

"Dekhte hai.."

After an hour, Manvi got up she looked "good morning.." she said in sleepy tone.

"Madamji... it is 9pm, chalo khana khalo fir room mein jaake soh jao" Ruhana said.

Manvi got down and moved to dining table "jaldi do fir time waste mat karo.. Bahut neend aayi hai"

Ruhana looked at and said "soh kaun raha tha? Tum ki main?"

Vineet spoke up "ye mahabharat khane ke baad karna please abhi bhook bahut zorke lagi hai"

Ruhana nodded and they had the food. Vineet informed Manvi about the challenge. Manvi smiled "okay done papa.. Hum baat nhi karenge bilkul bhi" 

The next morning, Manvi got ready for school. She asked "mumma where is my watch?"

"Are room mein hi hogi dekh thik se" Ruhana said.

"Nhi hai na.." she replied.

Ruhana moved to her room and was shocked to see the mess and scolded "ye kya hai?? Ek ghadi ke liye pura kamra kharab kar diya"

Vineet shouted from his room "Ruhana where is my wallet?"

"Wahi rakha hai dekhlo.. Ache se" Ruhana replied.. But Vineet could not find it.

She moved and the room was at a mess and she scolded him "tum baap beti bas mera kaam badhana jante ho bas" she went to the drawer and gave him the wallet. Vineet smiled and moved out.

"Dono ne kamre ko store room bana diya paanch minute mein aaj toh inse hi saaf karwaungi.." Ruhana said to herself. 

St. Xavier's School

Manvi and Shruti were in the classroom, Shruti asked "kya hua? Itni pareshan kyun hai?"

"Are kuch nhi ye professor mujhe daily torture karta hai.. Aaj bhi karne wala hai na jaane ab kya padhayega?" Manvi said irritatedly

"Mannu itna cute teacher tujhe khud personal tuitions de raha hai yaar! Haaye kash mujhe mila hota" Shruti said dreamily.

Manvi hits her arms and said "koi zaroorat nhi hai inse tutitions lene ki.."

Shruti eyed and and asked winking her eyes "kyu? Tujhe interest aa gaya hai inmein?"

Manvi glared at her and said "shut up shru! Kuch bhi bolti hai aisa kuch nhi hai samjhi na.."

Aarav entered inside and wished "Good morning students"

All got up and wished "good morning professor"

They sat, but Aarav said "Manvi.. Don't sit"

Manvi looked at him bewildered "professor.."

Aarav smiled "so I am sure tumne apna homework ache se kiya hoga now please explain to me about the reproductive system"

Manvi was shocked and thinks "ye toh cheating hai in hone kaha tha inko explain karna hai.. Huh" 

Aarav looked at her and said "Manvi.. Speak up"

Manvi passed a smile to him and explains in one breath. She rolled her eyes here and there and everyone was staring at her with open mouth. Manvi spoke up "kya?? Aise kya dekh rahe ho sab mujhe.. Samne dekho professor waha hai"

They looked in front, Aarav smiled "very good please sit down"

Manvi sits with a sigh of relief, she turned and found Shruti looking at her "ab tum kyun mujhe aise dekh rahi ho??"

Shruti asked "mannu main hi nhi sab shock mein hai tujhe ye pata hai.. Is it my dream?"

Manvi pinched her, Shruti looked at her "ouch.." and then looked in front. 

Later, at the library. Manvi was sitting and seemed to be in anger. Aarav came and said "hello.."

Manvi did not replied, Aarav asked her "kya hua?? Itna gussa kyun ho?"

"Aapne mere saath cheating ki hai.." she replied.

"Maine kya kiya?" he asked innocently

"Aapne bola tha mujhe aapko explain karna hai lekin aapne class mein.. Huh" she turned her face to other side.

Aarav smiled and said "maine kaha tha tumhe mujhe explain karna hai lekin akele mein ya sabke samne ye thodi kaha tha.."

Manvi looked at him and said "aapne mujhe trick kiya.."

"Maine kuch nhi kiya.. Good thing is tumne explain kiya.. See how easy it was" he said while opening the book.

Manvi thought and said "wahi main soch rahi hoon maine explain kaise kiya? Kahi mere andar kisi topper ki aatma toh nhi aa gayi thi"

Aarav laughs at this comment of her, he takes the wooden scale and lightly hits on her head "tumhari hi aatma thi.. Ab chalo aaj hum respiratory system ke baare mein padhte hai.."

Manvi looked at him with confusion "res..tiporty? What??"

"Respiratory system" he said.

"Ab yeh kya naya torture hai.." Manvi replied making face..

"Hmm.. iske liye tumhe diagram study karna hoga" he said while showing it.

Manvi looked at the diagram which was definitely she hating, she looked at him "professor ye diagram hai ya koi naksha? Ye study karke samjhna mujhse nhi hoga.. Kuch aur karte hai na please"

"Nahi.. yeh bahut hi important hai.. Aur ek din mein hoga nhi.. Aadha ghanta bhi kam hai tumhe batane ke liye toh we have to get more time" he exclaimed.

Manvi looked at him and said "kya?? Ab kya aap school ke baad bhi meri classes lene wale hai?"

Aarav smiled and said "waise not a bad idea.. Ek kaam karna shcool ke baad tum ek ghanta stayback karna kalse"

Manvi was shocked and said "nhi.. Professor this is not fair"

"Tumhe yahan rehna hai ya suspend hona hai?" he asked..

Manvi said "rehna hai."

"Toh do it!" he said while pointing at the book. Manvi sighed... .

She thinks.. "Torture increases.. Mannu kya zaroorat thi itna kuch kehne ki. Khud hi pair pe hathoda maar liya.."

Aarav eyed her "Manvi.. Concentrate.."

Manvi nodded and listened to him..
