Shruti and Manvi moved out, Manvi was shocked seeing Ruhana at the gate.

"Mumma aap yahan" she said tensely.

Ruhana said "tumhe toh ghar aane ke hosh hai nhi.. Where were you? Prom ki party to dusre wing mein hai na tum dono waha kaha se aa rahe ho?" she questioned doubtfully.

"Aunty.. Wo" Shruti tried to say.

"What? 12 baje sab khatam ho gaya tha and abhi raat ke 3 baj rahe hai kya ho raha hai yahan? Tum dono ko hosh hai ya nahi? " Ruhana shouted.

"Aunty.. Please hum ghar hi aa rahe they par wo meri tabiyat kharab ho gyi thi toh maine hi kaha thoda aaram karke chalenge" Shruti said making up excuse.

Ruhana looked towards Manvi, she held her hand and took her home.

They reached home, Ruhana said "abhi jaake soh jao kal subah baat karenge"

She nodded and moved to the room. She changed her clothes and sat down on bed thinking about what happened between her and professor.

She thought "ye professor ko achanak kya ho gaya tha mujhpe chillane lage they.. Message kar deti hun ek baar"

She took her phone and messaged him.

Aarav's home

He reached home, he went straight to his room. He moved into the bathroom opened the tap and sprinkled some water on his face. He shut his eyes and the mistake he committed flashed in front of him. He opened his eyes and thought "how could I do this..main aise kaise bahak gaya"

He was feeling really guilty. He came out and looked at his phone. A message was there from Manvi. He opened it "are you alright professor?"

He sighed, he kept his phone at a side and lay down on bed but he couldn't sleep. He thought "uske parents ko iss baare mein pata chalega toh?"

Next Day,

At the breakfast table, Manvi was sitting and smiling. She was lost in her own thoughts.

Vineet said "Manvi zara paratha past karna" but he got no response from her.

He looked towards her and bewildered. She was not eating but just staring at the wall and smiling.

He tapped in front of her "Manvi.."

Ruhana came and noticed her. She shook her head and called her aloud "Manvi.."

Manvi came out of her trance of thoughts..."Haan papa, Kya hua?" She asked.

"Tumhe kya hua hai? Plate mein paratha rakha hua hai khaya kyun nhi abhi tak?" Ruhana asked.

"Nahi kuch nhi kha rahi hun" she said while taking a bite in her mouth.

"Acha yeh batao kal prom kaisi thi tumhari?" Vineet asked.

"Bahut achi thi papa.. Bahut maza kiya maine aur pro.." she paused. Ruhana glanced at her.

"Bahut maza kiya maine, Shruti ne sab professors ne bhi kya dance kiya tha" Manvi said.

"Acha? Toh ab ye sab chodke padhai pe dhyan do, boards exam hai ek mahine baad" Ruhana said strictly.

Manvi nodded.

The next day, she went to school. She searched for Aarav but could not find him.

"Ye professor kahan hai?" she thought. She moved to the library but did not find him there too.

She sighed and thought "unke ghar jaake dekhti hun phone bhi nhi utha rahe hai mera" she left the school and took an auto towards his house.

She arrived at his apartment in next 20 minutes, she took the lift to his floor. She quickly rushed to his flat and kept on ringing the bell. After sometime, the door opened.

Aarav looked at her and then shut the door but Manvi stopped him with "professor wait.."

He opened the door and asked "what are you doing here?"

"Aapse baat karni hai" she said.

Aarav sighed, he saw neighbour hearing them, he asked her to get in. She came inside and he closed the door.

"Tum yahan kya kar rahi ho Manvi? Tumhe iss waqt school mein hona chahiye" he questioned.

"Aapko bhi toh school mein hona chahiye professor aur aap na mere messages ka jawab de rahe hai na calls utha rahe hai what is wrong with you?" she demanded answers.

"Dekho Manvi.. Exams are near tumhe ab padhai pe dhyan lagana chahiye hum uske baad baat karte hai main nhi chahta hun meri wajah se tumhara padhai mein loss ho" he said.

"Are.. aisa thodi hota hai" she said.

"Please Manvi, meri baat maanlo hum exams ke baad baat karte hai tabtak please mere ghar mat aana aur school mein bhi zyada mujhse baat mat karna main nhi chahta koi problem ho" he tried to make her understand.

"Lekin.." her face fell.

He looked at her... "Manvi please sirf ek mahine ki baat hai uske baad I promise I will meet you and will do as you say par ye ek mahina tum bas padai karo please" he requested.

Manvi sighed and said "okay fine.. Par promise kijiye after exams aap mujhe nahi rokenge aapse milne se"

"Haan pakka abhi tum jao" Aarav said.

She nodded and left the place thinking "inko hua kya hai? Kal raat ke baad mein kaafi disturbed lag rahe they"

Aarav thought "abhi toh samjha diya ise lekin baad mein kya bolunga.. Kabtak bahane banata rahunga main" he sighed.

Manvi and Shruti were sitting in the library, Manvi told her everything happened during the prom night. Shruti was left shocked "what?? Tu aur professor? Oh my god!"

Manvi smiled.. "Haan par phir suddenly wo ruk gaye"

"Manvi I think he is in guilt about it" Shruti assumed.

"Really? Abhi zara unki class khatam hone de phir unse baat karti hun main" Manvi said. She picked up her bag and moved towards his classroom.

The bell ranged and students moved out, Aarav came out. He walked ahead, Manvi was behind him "professor wait..."

Aarav stopped, he turned and asked "kya? Maine kaha tha na tumse exams ke baad hum baat karenge"

"No.. mujhe abhi karni hai aapko hua kya hai? Aap mujhe aise ignore kar rahe main dekh rahi hun this is not done" she complained.

"Manvi.. We did wrong ye baat tum samajhlo tumhari baaton mein aake main behek gaya and  please mujhse door raho" he said and left the place.

She followed him "Are.. aap kya kah rahe ho.. Professor please listen"

He turned back and shouted "bas enough mujhe kuch nhi sunna hai samjhi tum"

She was shocked at his behaviour, she looked around others were watching. She moved from there while crying.

Aarav sighed, he kept his hand on his forehead in tension. He walked to the staff Room.

Manvi's friend Tina was standing there, she smiled and thought "lagta hai professor aur Manvi ke beech bahut kuch ho raha hai"

Manvi came to Shruti and hugged her.

Shruti asked "kya hua?"

"Professor wo mujhpe chillaye.. Aisa kyun kar rahe hai wo" she asked.

"Mannu please calm down, he is your professor school mein aise unke peeche bhaagti rahegi toh.."

Manvi looked at her and asked "toh kya haan? I love him and unse ek sawal hi toh pucha tha maine.. Arghh.. Aise kaise mujhse baat kar sakte hai wo"

"Are baba.. Professor se unke ghar pe baat kar lena abhi chal ghar chalte hai" Shruti said..

Manvi nodded and they left.

Tina had heard their conversation, she smirked "Miss topper, this is the time ab dekho kaise pure school ko pata chalta hai tumhare aur professor ke baare mein"

Manvi reached home and moved straight into her room and closed it with a bang. Ruhana was shocked as she used to switch on the television. She knocked the door...

"Mannu, aake khana khalo. " she said.

She didn't reply. Ruhana served food for her but their was no sign of Manvi. She knocked the door again...

"Manvi, kya kar rahi ho? Jaldi aao. Khana thanda ho raha hai. " she said.

This time, Manvi opened the door, and came out. She started eating without arguing. Ruhana looked at her..

" Kuch hua hai? " she asked.

"Nahi mumma. I'm fine. Bahut bhook lagi hai. " she said and continued eating.

Ruhana eyed her while eating... "Itni shant? Shruti se jhagad kar aayi hai? " she asked, for she knew something is wrong with her.

Manvi looked at her... "Jo aapne kaha wahi kar rahi hoon main... padhai. " she said and then keeping her plate in the sink she rushed back to her room.

Manvi lied on the bed. Aarav's words were echoing in her ears. She was upset with him. His rude replied had hurt her. She slept thinking of all the matter.

Evening

Vineet came back and asked for Manvi.. Ruhana told him that she was studying. He decided to meet her later and went to freshen up. Ruhan gave him tea and he glanced at her...

"Kya hua? "he asked.

"Tumhe nhi lagta manvi kuch ajeeb behave kar rahi hai? " she asked.

"Tum strictness lagaogi toh yahi hoga. Shant ho gayi meri beti. "he said.

Ruhana looked at him... "that is important. Aur Baat manvi ki hai. Subah muskara rahi thi, dopahar se band kar liya khudko room Mein. Bahut changes aa gaye hain tumhari beti mein. "she said.

Vineet nodded  for he could feel the changes. He decided to talk to her.
