(Y/N) POV

The mission meeting was awkward, turns out Zero Two has some past experiences with Squad 26...and they aren't good. Plus, Squad 26 also took a jab at me and Luna

"At least we could protect our plantation for longer than 3 missions," One of them said. Luna was about to go off on them, but I kept her calm

Currently, we are suiting up to get into the Franxx. I've gotten used to suiting up at my old plantation.

"Can you point me to my locker," I ask Hiro

"Yea, it's over there," He says probably pointing

"Oh, I'm sorry, it's to your right about two paces down," He says

"Thanks," I say as I reach my locker. I know how to get the suit on easily. And before I know it, I'm in the loading area where we board the Franxx

"Both You and Luna look good In your parasite gear," Miku says

"Ah, thank you, I'd never know," I say quietly so that other people don't overhear.

"Anyway, Luna is waiting at Destila for you," Miku finishes before going to her own Franxx

I wait down the boardwalk until I hear Luna say, "stop, turn left and your in,"

"Thanks," I say as I carefully fumble in

"It's been a while, I'm a bit nervous," She admits

"It'll be fine," I say as I stumble and fall into my chair

"Yea, yea," Luna says as she gets ready

We get the call to link up

"Are you excited to see again," Luna asks

"A bit," I say as I grab the controls

"Hmm," she says before we link up, in the past, we were always praised for having an extremely high capability

Destila, I've never seen her before. But Luna has explained the details, I hear since our move to plantation 13, Destila has been painted dark (F/C) with (S/C) stripes. As a weapon, we use a Long sword that rests on our hips. It gives us a wide range of attacks and also helps us hit hard

A door for Franxx opens and Squad 13 leaves to meet up with Squad 26 where our plantations meet.

"Delphinium, piloted by Ichigo and Goro, is team leader right?" I ask

"Yes," Luna answers back.

My understanding of the plan is that Squad 26 fights the Klaxosour alone so we don't interfere with their teamwork, Squad 13 deals with Klaxosour that slip past. And then behind us is Strelizia, piloted by Zero Two and Hiro

Klaxosours comes in, and there's quite a few. As expected, some breakthrough and we need to deal with it. I maneuver Destila in a striking position as I jab. The Klaxosour are spider-like, they crawl toward us on four legs at a decent speed

I activate our magma blade as I thrust our Longsword forward piercing the core instantly

The others are to busy watching Destila that they don't notice the others

"There's more then one eh," I tell them as they get into action. As they battle, they are a little uncoordinated....actually scratch that, they have none at all

In their, uncoordinated attack, Genista, a Franxx piloted by Kokoro and Futoshi. Gets outnumber.

"(Y/N)," Luna says

"Yea, I'm on it," I say as I launch us to her aid. I take one down with a wide slash, as Delphinium kills the other. By now, other Klaxosour as reached us, and we all get to work.

Ignoring orders, Strelizia comes in to help us, and she is good...really good. She flips around like she's a feather. A different build I guess, Destila has heavy metal for the close combat we do with our Longsword. So, we are a bit slow as a result.

With one slash, Destila can easily kill multiple Klaxosour at once. After a few minutes of fighting, only a cube with horns remains

Squad 26 try's to attack it, and it works...or so we thought. It lets out a deafening noise, under normal circumstances, I'd be fine. But due to my slightly heighten senses, it leaves me heavily impaired.

"Ahhhhhhhh!" I yell as I cover my ears. This disconnects me from the Franxx and I'm left with darkness

"(Y/N) are you ok!" Luna asks as I feel her hands on my face. My ears ring but it resides

"I'm good," I say

"Ok, let's reconn---" Luna starts to say but we are thrown by what I can guess is the klaxosour. I hear loud thuds as Luna is probably thrown all over the cockpit. Then when our Franxx stops, I hear nothing but the Klaxosour screaming.

"Luna?" I ask repeatedly, but no response

I get up from my chair and search the cockpit for her. I finally find her. I feel her body, and near her head, I feel a wet spot...and her left leg doesn't feel like her right one

"Luna are you ok?" I ask as I check her pulse... there is none...there's no pulse. I feel my heart drop.

"Luna, wake up," I say as I hover over her. My head goes to CPR

I quickly feel for her mouth and her nose. I plug her nose and latch my lips on hers. I breathe in lightly, then I feel her chest, I touch her breast and place my hands slightly below the middle of her chest. And then I do compressions. I breathe into her and then continue

Don't die...please don't die. I'm reminded of all the times she had helped me. She wouldn't be here right now if she had another stamen. But no, she was stuck with me, someone who can't live alone.

"Wake up," I say as tears escape my face. I forget the last time I cried...in fact I don't know these non-seeing eyes could cry...I've never done it before

"Came on, Luna!" I yell as I continue CPR

"Wake up," I say continuing

"Please," I say as I breathe into her soft lips.

"Don't die! I haven't gotten the chance to see you yet!" I say as I'm reminded of a promise we mind

Flashback

"You can't see!" Code 234 ask me

"No, I can't, I've been trying to hide it. But it's really hard!" I tell her

"Your secret is safe with me!" She says

"Thank you," I say relieved

"But there's a catch," She exclaims

"What?" I ask worried

"One of the first people you see when you get your sight will be me ok?" She says

"Deal," I say smiling

Present

"We made a promise damn it!" I say as waterworks fall from my face

"I've been keeping my end of the deal, now you need too!" I yell at her as I breathe into her once again

"Come on! Luna wake up!" I say as the Klaxosour goes silent after a series of loud bangs

"Wake up," I say as I fall onto her after a sudden jolt

I quickly get back up and continue

"Don't give up, I made you a promise damn it!" I say as my mind goes blank
