"She isn't such a bad driver after all." Harry nudges Louis with a small smirk.
"Learns from the best, me, obviously." Louis rolled his eyes.
"How did she learn from you, when I was the one in the car teaching her?" Harry taunted, sticking his tongue out at Louis.
"Shut up." Louis groaned, crossing his arms over his chest. Harry chuckled and places the keys in the key holder, sprinting in the kitchen.
It was a month later and today was Darcy's birthday, she is sixteen and Louis couldn't be more proud of his beautiful young lady that he calls daughter.
"Harry stop!" Darcy yelled before Harry smashed her face in the lilac frosted cake. She pulls her head back, laughing and throws cake at Harry.
They both have a food fight, having the time of their lives while Louis stands near the front door and listens to his daughter's laughter.
Louis was ten weeks pregnant (three months), the baby is the size of a strawberry now. His abdomen has a slight roundness on it, and he gained weight, but not too much.
Yet.
The older man even had gotten himself a better diet. Dried fruits, salads, water and v-8 juice did just well for him.
Obviously some chocolate chip cookies here and there weren't looking too bad.
His symptoms were starting to show now, his mood swings were just all over the place, the nausea was getting worse, but the morning sickness rarely happened, he was dizzy and felt fatigue, and he was bloated.
He needed to tell Harry and his kids soon, but today wasn't the day.
Today was Darcy's day, and he needed the day to focus on her and her only, he was going to give his daughter everything.
Louis' sock covered feet padded into the kitchen softly, watching as Harry and Darcy pick up their mess from the small food fight.
It took a little while for the frosting to come off of the floors and counters, but the three of them ended up getting it off anyways.
"Alright kid, here." Harry hands her a small brown package, and smiles widely. The teenager rips open the package, and nearly screams at the gift Harry had gotten her.
"AirPods!" She cheered hopping around like a bunny. "Oh my god Harry! Thank you so much! I love it!" She giggled hugging the earplugs.
Joesph sits on Louis' lap, clapping for his older sister. It was Louis' turn to give her his gift, so he kindly asked his boyfriend to grab the present that was hidden somewhere.
He comes out with a lilac bag and sets the gift down next to Darcy, taking his seat between her and Louis.
Louis went all out with gifts.
The older man smiles as Darcy removes the white tissue paper, eager to see what was inside. First, she pulls out a gift card, reading that it held two hundred dollars in it.
"Holy crap! Is this-" Darcy pauses. "Oh my goodness!" She screams at the top of her lunges, pulling out an iPhone elven. "Dad, how?!?"
"Can't say." Louis smirked.
"Oh my god!" She reaches in the bag more, looking for more gifts. She ended up getting her own curling iron in a lilac color, her name printed in gold on the side of it.
Darcy got a karaoke machine and another gift card from her favorite clothing store, Forever 21. Harry's gifts were more expensive, he bought her AirPods, organic makeup that he customized so she had her name printed on it, (just like the curling iron Louis had brought her) and a big stuffed animal.
An oversized avocado, along with a burrito blanket.
All four of them spent time together, and soon enough they went to go swimming and the lovers taught the four year old how to swim.
They all took showers (Harry took Joesph a bath), and now they were all sitting down in the living room and watching a movie.
During the middle of the movie, Joesph had fallen asleep, Harry insisted he took the toddler in the guest room and wish him a goodnight.
"Why didn't you want to have a sweet sixteen?" Louis questions, killing the silence.
Darcy's lips turn down and she shrugs. "Dunno."
"Tell me Darcy." Louis demands.
"Nothing, alright? Just didn't want to have one is all." She grumbled. Darcy's weakest spot was talking about feelings.
"I just want you to talk to me Darcy. Why do you feel like you can't talk to me?" Louis sits up from his spot on the couch, facing his body towards the teenager.
"Dad, you'll go insane knowing you." She scoffs.
"Darcy you know me-"
"That's the thing dad, I know you." She frowns, looking down at her feet. "I know you."
"Just tell me." Louis demanded again.
"I'm getting bullied. Is that what you want to hear? I'm getting bullied and I have no friends, expect a few football players." Darcy explains, eyes making contact with her dad's.
Louis was speechless, he sat there and didn't say anything. He stood up from his spot on the ouch, and moved to sit next to Darcy.
"Why didn't you come to me? Why?" Louis' heart broke.
Darcy stayed quiet, only staring at her dad with a blank expression. She couldn't help but notice the hurt in his eyes, and she didn't want that.
"I'm embarrassed of myself." She clears her throat. "I remember that night after Jake hit me, you came in my room and you held me till I stopped crying and when I did," Darcy sighs.
"I remember." Louis whispers.
"You called me your little warrior. I want to be that for you dad, I want to, but it's so hard. It's too hard and it hurts. I'm hurting so badly, and I put on this brave face for you papa. I cannot let you see me like this, it's just, I-"
"You should never ever have to be embarrassed. You are my little warrior," Louis grabs her face with both hands, his watery eyes staring into her own.
"You will always be my little warrior, nothing will ever change that. No matter what you do or say." Louis kisses his daughter's forehead, wiping the tears that fall from her eyes with his thumbs.
"You're so strong baby girl, I know you are." He comforts.
"Thank you papa." She leans into his chest, causing him to wince at the soreness of his nipples. Louis didn't mind, he pushed past the stinging pain and continues to comfort his daughter.
"I love you." He spoke to her softly, petting her wavy hair. "Now, why don't we get our minds off of it, yeah? Gotta wait for Harry's slow ass to come out." Louis chuckles.
"He is pretty slow huh?" Darcy giggles.
"Oh yes, most definitely." Louis smiles.
*
"How come Louis doesn't talk about his mom?" Harry asks Darcy, taking the frozen yogurt in his hands and hands it to Joesph.
The four year old was occupied with the iPad Louis gave him permission to use. It was the next day and Harry took the kids out for the afternoon.
Louis claimed that he was working with Zayn on something for work, but in reality Louis was at the doctors.
"They had gotten into it." Darcy shrugs. "She got married and didn't invite my dad to the wedding, he didn't even know about her having a boyfriend. So when he found out, they fought and never talked since." She explains, taking a sip of her smoothie.
"That's all?" Harry frowns.
"Other things happened, but my dad never told me. And that's a conversation that should be held between you and him." Darcy exclaims.
It was a breezy spring Sunday, and Darcy couldn't be more happy. She had the best time with her brother, dad, and Harry over the weekend and didn't want it to come to an end.
"I want him to speak to her again. I just want him to fix his relationship with his mom. It's important to have that figure in his life, especially since ya know, you only have dads and not a mother figure." Harry spoke his honest opinion.
"You're totally correct on that, but I already have a mother figure. I don't need grandma." Darcy says raising her eyebrows at the word 'grandma'.
"Who would that be?"
"My papa." She answers. "He's more of a- well, he's pretty much a woman?" Darcy scrunched her face up, trying to find the correct terms to use.
"Louis' more feminine. He's like a mother figure to you, and Jake is a father figure." Harry fills in the blanks for her.
Darcy nods, "Jake isn't my father figure though. Someone else is." She blushes lightly, staring at her banana strawberry smoothie Harry bought her.
She forced him to do it and Harry couldn't deny, he knows how much the teenage girl loves her iced coffee and smoothies.
"Who?"
"You." She answers with a smile.
"Wait me?" Harry's jaw drops. "How? I don't do anything-"
"You give me great advice, you play video games with me, you're laid back, you help me in situations where I can't help myself, and you give me me those dad vibes." Darcy describes.
"Don't forget the famous dad corny jokes, duh!" Harry scoffs playfully.
"No no no..." Darcy rushes out, knowing what's coming next.
"Wanna hear a joke about paper?" Harry smirks.
"Nope."
"Nevermind," He sighs.
"Oh thank god." Darcy prayed on the inside, thankful that she didn't listen what the rest of the joke was about.
"It's tearable." Harry cracks up, watching as Darcy groans out loud, covering up her ears.
The teenager removes her hands from her ears, and plays a smirk on her face. "I have a joke for you."
"Shoot."
"Whats the difference between a hooker and a drug dealer?"
"Oh god, what?" Harry sighs, knowing this was a bad idea.
"A hooker can wash her crack and resell it." Darcy cackles as the green eyed man shakes his head, cringing at the dirty joke.
"That's nasty Darcy!" Joesph squeals.
Meanwhile, Louis was at Harry's house preparing his surprise to Harry and the kids.
After coming back from the doctors appointment, Louis decided to go to the store and buy a pregnancy test.
It came out positive, obviously, and he ended up hiding the test in a spot that'll be seen. He was hoping his plan will be perfect, but he would never know.
He cleaned up the little mess in the game room that Joesph and Harry left behind. They all spent plenty of time together, they hardly ever went to their own house and Harry didn't mind the small family coming over everyday.
When he was done cleaning up he grabbed the sonogram of the strawberry sized baby and silently cried, he didn't know how Harry will react. Louis was nervous and it was nerve racking. He wondered how Darcy will think? Joesph? And Harry..
Louis sucks it up, and puts the picture on Darcy's bed in the guest room. He sets it under the pillow, putting her charger underneath it too.
He goes downstairs and sits down on the couch, eyes wondering around the quiet house. He didn't have the tv on, it was nothing but peace, and he enjoyed it.
Just as he was thinking about mediating, Harry and the kids walk in the door with big smiles on their faces and starbucks in Darcy's hand.
Both the kids ran to Louis, hugging their father. "Hi babies! Did you have fun with Harry today?" Louis greeted his overexcited kids.
Joesph nods his head, jumping. "Yes papa! Harry so funny!" He laughs pointing at the curly haired man. Harry walks to Louis behind the couch and bends down to kiss his lips softly.
"Ew!" Both Darcy and Joesph cringe at the two.
They both pull away from the kiss, smiling at the kids reaction. Louis' heart beats faster as he realizes he needs to get his plan into action as of right now.
"Babe, can I have a water bottle and a apple please?" Louis pleaded his boyfriend. The blue eyed man placed the pregnancy test near the fruits, hidden, but it can be seen at the same time as well.
"Of course love." Harry skips to the kitchen.
Louis looks at his daughter smiling softly, trying to contain his nerves. "Welp! I will go put my phone away and we're going to watch a scary movie." She smiles walking off into the guest room.
Perfect, Louis smirked.
Joesph stayed standing in front of Louis, kissing his cheeks. "I love you papa! Thank you for the iPad today." The toddler says, handing Louis back his device.
Niall's mom bought the iPad for Joesph, she loved the four year old like her own grandchild, and Louis could never forget that.
"Oh my god..." Darcy walks back in the living room, her eyes watering up staring at the white and grey picture in her hands. "Dad..?"
Louis whips his head to face his daughter, smiling when he sees her stare at the picture. A few moments later, Harry walks in where the small family was gathered at and had tears streaming down his face.
After he grabbed the water bottle, he was looking for apples in the fruit holder and caught the sight of a pink stick. At first he thought it was a thermometer, but was entirely wrong when he analyzed it and saw the words 'pregnant' on the stick.
Louis stood up from the couch, with Joesph on his hip and smiled at the two shocked people in front of him a few meters away from him.
"I'm pregnant." He sniffles with a small smile.
Harry just stares at the pregnancy test and at Louis, his mouth open. "Lou, are you serious?" He whispers, voice cracking.
"Three months." Louis informs as a tear slips from his eyes.
"Dad oh my god!" Darcy ran to Louis, and hugged him. "I'm so happy! Oh my god! We're getting another sibling!" Darcy snatches Joesph from Louis and spins him around in circles, the both of them giggling.
Harry stood there still shocked, he couldn't believe that his boyfriend was pregnant with his kid, and that meant so much for Harry. He couldn't ask for more in his life, and he felt so blessed.
The green eyed man thinks about his future with Louis, and his heart explodes with many emotions and he becomes overwhelmed.
Harry's vision becomes blurry as he falls over.
"No!"
