I apologize for any mistakes
~enjoy <3
"You said your sister works here? What about your mom?" Louis asks, taking a bite into his sandwich. Louis and Harry took a lunch break, he invited the older man to go to lunch with him.
"Yes she does. Her position is Brokers, it's like a third party between two companies who are in a common trading alike relationship. I'm a Telecommunication Director. I maintain the computer system and assist my employees when needed." Harry explains to Louis, taking a sip of his water.
"Oh wow. That's interesting. I'm assuming you took computer science?" Louis guesses.
"Yes I did. I'll have you meet my sister whenever she's done getting lectured by my dad. That was so awkward this morning." Harry cringes at the events that happened earlier that morning.
"You're dad is nice." Louis laughed. "I hated when Zayn blurted that out, I'm sorry." He apologizes. Louis scolded Zayn about his language and his lack of respect, but that was Zayn, and Louis loved him for that.
"Yeah, he seems like a cool dude." Harry shrugs.
"Yeah he is." Louis answered. "So Darcy told me what you guys did last night. Thank you for watching them, I'm sorry, I was just really exhausted and I was upset, and I-"
"Babe it's okay. I enjoyed spending time with them. Joesph takes his Minecraft very seriously though." Harry laughs, interrupting Louis. He blushed hard at the nickname Harry gave him, he'll never get tired of it.
"Okay, sorry. It's just- I," Louis sighs.
"Noah?"
"No.." Louis' eyes wonder around the restaurant, nervous.
"What is it love?" Harry asked, reaching over the table holding Louis' hand, running his finger over his knuckles.
"Harry," Louis pauses. "I don't trust Jake. The way Noah blew up on me like that yesterday was so, not like him. I just, do I not live enough? Do I need to be less strict on him?" It was something Louis questioned himself more than ever now.
"Hmm," Harry thinks. "Well Lou, that's your way of parenting, and there's no wrong or right way of parenting. I mean, if it's abuse then yes, that's not the right way of parenting, other than that, you have your methods, if you feel like your methods work, then leave it, but if you feel like you have to make a change, go for it." Harry advised.
"Are you sure you don't have kids? You know so much." Louis pouts. Louis was a parent himself, and the advice Harry is giving him makes him think that Harry has more parenting skills than Louis does.
"No, but I have been around parents and kids, so I try to understand. Oh, speaking of kids, is it alright if I put Darcy in my boxing lessons? So she can learn how to fight?" Harry asks, remembering the conversation him and Darcy had last night.
Louis furrows his eyebrows. "Uh, why does she want to learn how to fight?" He raises an eyebrow. The last thing Louis expected from his daughter was wanting to learn how to fight.
"Self defense, you know? She's very beautiful, and men, you know how pervs are. Plus, it'll be a good workout for her." Harry reasoned with a shrug.
"Fine. Just send me the location-"
"How about, I pick her up after school and just take her myself? Less for you to do. It's every Monday and Wednesday, five to seven o'clock, my place." Harry informs Louis, hoping he'll make up his mind.
Louis sighs, wondering if it'll be a good idea, but Harry was right. Darcy is a beautiful young lady, and if anything happens to her, she'll be able to fight back.
"Alright sounds good. She has color guard practice on Tuesday's and Thursday's." Louis finally agreed after debating with himself in his head.
"Does Joesph or Noah play any sports?" Harry switched the subject, stabbing his salad with a plastic fork.
"Noah plays football and rugby. I might put Joesph into sports once he turns five." Louis answers. "Speaking of Noah, did he get out of the house safely?" He asked.
"Yeah, Darcy tried stopping him. But Jake came to pick him up. Look Lou, give Noah some time, alright? He loves you, and he'll come back." Harry reassures Louis.
"I wanted to teach him how to drive.." Louis says sadly.
"Then teach Darcy. I think you and Darcy should spend more time together, you know? Have a talk with her, ask her about school." Harry suggested to Louis.
The clueless parent wasn't aware of Darcy's situation at school, and when he wanted to bring it up to his daughter, she'd always say that everything was getting better. Louis wasn't stupid, but he didn't want to push her to tell him.
"Yeah that sounds good. I can't believe you curled her hair! That was amazing." Louis compliments.
"Ah thank you." Harry grins.
"You know, she doesn't even come out of her room to talk to me, but she's racing down the stairs to open the door for you. You both are close. She's never been that close another person, besides Niall." He smiled.
"Really? All of your kids have bright personalities. As for Noah, I can't really say much, he absolutely hates my guts." Harry chuckled. If Noah didn't hate him, Harry would probably like the teenager and play some football with him.
"He's never like that with anyone." Louis says.
"I grew up with my parents separated, so I'm sure seeing one of his parents taking a liking to someone who isn't his father makes him pretty upset." Harry explained to Louis.
"I grew up with my parents separated too." Louis smiles. "That was one of the things I didn't want for my babies, but that's just life. It is what it is." Louis shrugs.
"What's the number one thing you regret?" They both take a sip of their drinks, Louis sets his cup down while Harry wait for him to reply.
"The number one thing.." he mumbles to himself, looking around before making eye contact with Harry. "The number one thing I regret is nothing. Without Jake, I wouldn't be here with the three of my kids. I'm blessed with what I have, and I regret nothing. I just wish that none of those bad things happened to me at such a young age. It was difficult." Louis exclaims. "How about you?"
"That's deep. The number one thing I regret is, well," He sighs. "I guess I don't regret anything either." He answered.
"Hey, it's time to go back to the office." Louis says, looking at his phone for the time.
"Oh okay."
*
"So this is my desk, where one day I will fuck you on it, and-"
"Oh my god Harry." Louis laughs. "You're ridiculous, but I wouldn't mind it." He smirks. Harry returns the smirk, getting ready to say something naughty to the blue eyed man, but Louis' phone goes off. "Hold on." He says.
He answers the phone, holding it up to his ear. "What?" He scolded. Harry immediately knew who Louis was talking to. Louis isn't the type to talk to someone so rudely over the phone, when it came to Jake, Louis was ready to pop off.
"I don't know Jake, why don't you act like a father and go ask him your damn self! He went to you for a reason, don't make him regret that decision." Louis hung up the phone, huffing.
"What'd he say?"
"He's asking me what's been going on with Noah. He doesn't even know how to talk to his own son. Bullshit." Louis grumbled, crossing his arms over his chest.
Harry coos at Louis' actions, and pulls the smaller man by the hips. "Don't be upset lovely. Let Jake figure it out, alright?" He kisses behind Louis' ear, all the way down to his neck. "Okay love?"
"Okay.." Louis sighs tilting his head, giving Harry more access to his neck. Harry licks over his soft skin, latching his lips on Louis neck. He runs his tongue over the area, nipping at it lightly.
"So how about you fucking me on your desk?" Louis asks.
"Let's do it."
