I apologize for any mistakes

"Dad's going to pick you up?" Darcy asked going downstairs after a few moments. She sees her brother by the front door, and hears a car pulling up to their driveway.

"He's here. Bye." Noah opens the door, walking out quickly. Once he closes the door, Darcy groans going over to lock it. She shakes her head. "This family is so dysfunctional oh my god." She says. "Well what are we going to do now?" She asked.

Harry takes in a deep breath, looking at the sleeping toddler on the couch. He must've fallen asleep when they were all upstairs yelling. "Do you have any baking supplies?" Harry raises his eyebrows.

"Yep." She nods.

"Okay let's bake!" Harry cheered.

Darcy chuckles lightly as her and Harry make their way into the kitchen, tension is in the air. "If I'm honest, I really don't want to go to my dad's house next weekend. I always have to take care of Joesph, and do all the cooking. I feel like my brother and Jake always team up, you know? They're partners in crime." She exclaims.

"Have you told Louis?" Harry asked, going into the pantry to get ingredients. He steps out of the pantry when he got everything he needed, looking for a fork to mix the ingredients together when it's ready.

"Can you grab a bowl and a pan?" He asked her.

"No. I don't think he'd understand, you know? Jake is just really aggressive sometimes." She goes to a cabinet, grabbing a big blue plastic bowl. "He was never like that when I was younger, but it got worse when we got older." She squats down, grabbing a rectangular metal pan, setting it on the counter.

"How so?" Harry questioned. He knew the story, but he doesn't know if Darcy knows about Louis, or even herself. It's a possibility that she might've forgotten.

"He um," she pauses, the kitchen is very quiet, tension is getting heavier by the second. "He hit me one time." She confesses.

And there it is, so she does remember.

"Fucking dick face." Harry growled underneath his breath, hoping Darcy didn't hear him. "You don't deserve that Darcy. You should fight back against him just incase he tries to hurt you. Do you know how to fight?" He asked.

"No, I'm scared. I can't fight which is a bad thing."

The green eyed man pours some brown sugar into the blue bowl, not measuring the amount. "I can ask your dad if I can take you to my boxing lessons. I have boxing lessons every Monday and Wednesday." He informed her.

She nods her head smiling. "Thank you, that'll be very nice." She says.

"Of course! Okay, we're going to make chocolate chip cookies from scratch. As you see here, I put brown sugar in here. Now, what we do next is, put a little bit of flour on the brown sugar." Harry instructed, pouring a generous amount of flour on the sugar.

"Do you have vanilla extract?" The teen nods her head, walking into the pantry, grabbing a small box of vanilla. She opens the box, handing him the dark brown bottle of vanilla extract.

Harry pours a little bit into the mixture in the bowl, measuring it in his head. "Can I have an egg?" She nods, walking to the fridge, grabbing an egg.

"How do you feel about my dad, Harry? I heard that he asked you out on a date last night?" She asks, striking up a conversation.

Harry smiles at her question. "You crack the egg." He mumbled. "Well, how do I feel? I feel happy around him. He's amazing." Harry complimented.

She cracks the egg into the bowl. "No, like, how do you feel? Do you have feelings for him?" She smirks, throwing the egg shell away. "We don't have chocolate chips, but we do have kisses, is that okay?" She asks, grabbing a metal jar next to the stove, dumping out chocolate Hershey kisses.

"Yeah it's fine. I do have feelings for him, yes." She smiles at Harry's confession. "I just want to get to know him some more before I start developing stronger feelings towards him." He explained to her.

"What more about him do you want to know? Jeez." She jokes, unwrapping the kisses, and dumping them into the bowl.

Darcy admits that Harry and Louis know each other off the back of their hands. She enjoyed spending time with the two, the both of them making time to theirselves and the kids.

"Well Darcy, what I want to know is how he is around his family, how he is around coworkers, just different people in general besides me. I want to know how he is drunk, how wild he is when he's partying, I want to get to know how he thinks, and his mindset on different topics. There's more to know than just favorite color, favorite animal, and family. You want to get to know the person and their lifestyle, you know? It goes deeper more than you think it would, dove." Harry further explained to her.

"Almost sounds like you're already in love." She giggles, staring at him. "Okay okay, I have to admit at first I thought it was pretty creepy, but you're right. I like that speech a lot." She says truthfully.

"M'not in love, never have been." Harry mumbled, peeling the aluminum foil off the chocolates, helping Darcy out.

"Why not? How many relationships have you been in?" She questions.

"It's been a while since I last had a relationship. I've been in two relationships. The first one, he and I had been together for a really long time. High school sweet hearts, but he cheated on me. I thought I was in love, but I wasn't. Then I moved on to a girl, and I didn't feel right, I broke it off with her because I prefer guys than girls." He answers.

"I thought I was in love with the guy, I figured out I wasn't because if you truly love someone, you don't ever stop loving them. If you love someone, you will love them to infinity. Nowadays, it's overrated and used in the wrong context. Quite annoying." Harry walks over to the stove, putting it on bake, warming it up for the cookies.

"Do we roll the cookies into balls now?" She asks, throwing the shiny wrappers away. Harry nods, grabbing a fork from the drawer. He mixed the mixture until it was semi soft. He places the fork into the sink once he was done.

"I can completely agree with you on that, if you love someone you love them to infinity. So you have never been in love? And you're how old?" She asks, raising an eyebrow.

"I'm twenty four." Harry answered.

"You and my dad are pretty young, you know? You're twenty four and never been in love?" She says shocked. Harry chuckled nodding his head, grabbing a piece of the mixture and rolling it into a ball.

"Well Harry I think you and my dad will fall in love." She smiles.

He blushes at the comment. "You say that because why? Wait hold on, we need a cookie sheet!" Harry says, mainly focusing on the cookies.

"We have butter, can we just put butter on the sheet?" She asks, going to the fridge pulling out the butter. "It'll work, believe me." She says, as she opens the butter and grabs a handful, smearing it on the pan. "And I say that because I can feel it happening. I see the connection you both have." She says.

"I don't know Darcy. I want to wait a bit, I don't want to get myself too deep and-"

"Harry, don't deny your feelings. You're scared, I can sense that. You don't want to get hurt again. I get it, but admit it! You're totally falling for my dad! I see the way you are with him. My dad's really happy with you. I saw that whenever we went to dinner after my show. He looked at you like he'd never seen anything so beautiful." She smiles.

"Noah may not support it, but you have my full support. You're a good man, and you're really sweet. I wish Jake were like you." She confesses. "Okay, I'm finished with the butter, are we ready for the balls?!" She giggles.

"Yes I am." Harry chuckled.

The both of them bake cookies in silence, and wait for the cookies to be ready for the next twenty five minutes. Harry crosses his arms over his chest, watching as Darcy jumps on the counter.

"You alright after everything..?" Harry gives her a small sad smile.

Darcy opens her mouth, but nothing comes out. She shrugs, looking down at her feet swinging back and forward. "You know, Noah he's an ass. I don't know what's been going on, but ever since he turned fourteen, he'd change into something else."

"Why don't you call me flower anymore? You always call me by my name now?" Darcy walks out of her classroom as the bell rang.

Noah turns around, Darcy bumps into him. "It's getting old now, yeah? We're getting older. We should just stop acting like kids." He shrugs.

"You don't have to be so mean about it you know." Darcy shuffles on her feet, nervous.

"Grow up." Noah scoffed. "Gotta go with the boys now!" Noah smiles once a ground of boys turned the corner, walking towards the cafeteria.

"Wait bear- I mean Noah!" She calls out as her older brother runs off. She stands there all alone, no one to talk to, and no one to sit with.

A loner.

"Growing up, maturity probably Darcy." Harry suggested with a shrug. "It's normal."

Darcy shakes her head, narrowing her eyes. "It's not like that Harry. This vibe from him is different. It could be me, you know? Just very paranoid." Darcy laughs lightly, her blue eyes wondering the room.

"Could possibly be that too." Harry shrugs again.

But little did they know what they had coming to them.
