He sat and waited for another half hour, two empty glasses piled upon his table. Somehow he wasn't surprised that his date stood him up but that didn't mean it didn't hurt him.
Was he that unlikeable?
He sighed heavily and moved from his seat and over to the wooden rail, leaning against it, eyes fixed on the waves. He took a deep breath, enjoying the way the cool breeze kissed his skin and ruffled his hair. It's touch soothing and gentle.
He took a sip of his mocktail when a figure on the beach caught his eye. His eyes narrowed as his brain seemed to process that the man wasn't moving closer to shore but further away from it.
"Hey!" He called out but the man didn't seem to hear it, or care. He just went further and deeper before he was out of sight, gone under a wave.
Jungkook's heart leapt to his throat and before he knew it, he'd jumped over the rail and rushed across the beach, heels digging into the sand. As quickly as he possibly could, and without breaking his run, he discarded his shirt and his pants and jumped into the cold waters after the man.
