A few months later James and Mary were pulling me away from school for the day and towards what they called a special place. The scenery changed from the many houses and noise of the city to a green, vibrant area. Once we got to this area they turned around and shouted "Happy Birthday Sadey!"

Behind them there was a large lake and a clearing further out with a table. Piled so high it almost toppling over was a mountain of presents. To say I was awestruck is not entirely a lie, although I barely remembered when my birthday was I celebrated with the pack as each year we would have a celebration for those who survived the year unscathed. That then was considered my birthday, but how could I turn away from James and Mary after they both have done so much for me?

So I turn towards them and return their hard work and dedication to my success into a hug. Too happy in fact that I began to transform. James and Mary didn't mind though and continued on with my party. But all came crashing down when a scent, coming from the woods outside the clearing sent me sprinting away from the clearing back to the city. Behind me I hear Mary shouting after me and a shuffle as they both start running after me. We go for miles, just to get away from the danger.

I take them to my cave, unaware that they had even found me here. Sitting inside was the leader of the wild pack Grant. From what I could tell there was no one else with him, but his being here set me on edge. Ignoring Mary's questions I whispered to James and he took her away. It was just me and Grant now.

"What do you want? Why are you here?"

He scoffed. "Well for one to make sure you haven't been causing trouble. Next to hopefully bring you back to the wild, to bring you back as my second in command once more. Devin has proven to me he is unfit for that position and showed me how unrationally I was when considering what to do with you. If you come back with me you will be welcomed back to the pack with open arms. What do you say?"

How do I tell him? How do I feel about his offer? Will the pack really let me come back?

"You know what, since you disowned me from your pack I have found myself a new pack, and a new life. I don't think you know how much it hurt me when I was cast out like I was the omega again. So you can go back to the pack and tell them I will not return because of you."

I can tell he is stunned at my response. Grant I don't think has ever been told no, because even his stance and demeanor give him a powerful feel. Without another word he left me and no doubt calling the others back to the pack. For me however I know this is not over and Grant will be back again.
