Chapter VI

It's been a few days, and they have been weird.

Taehee fought with her dad about marrying a woman at the age when he should be looking for a bride for his Seokjin. Everyone in Kim's household has been walking on eggshells in the last couple of days, including Taehyung. He can't seem to figure out what his twin has been feeling which has him frustrated. Taehee has mostly barricaded herself in her room after the fight with her dad, she even refused meals until Taehyung stepped in and had her eat forcefully.

On the other side, the Park family is more relaxed in their normal routines except of course boys asking Sungi about the progress and when is she getting married, Sungi has been spending time with Jungkook to make his insecurities go away while she has been silently worried about Jimin who has gone a bit silent and always on his phone for the past few days after the talk they had.

A week after the Party/ Family Meeting

Taehee after a week of almost staying in her room has finally stepped out dressed in a knee-length soft pink dress, pairing them with kitten heels, and accessories with a bracelet and a clutch bag, her blonde hairs let down and styled in waves, as she descended down the stairs, the boys hanging in the living room turned around at the sound of her heels clicking against the marble, having stunned jaw drop reaction.

"You going somewhere?" Jin asked, giving her dress once over at how she looked date-ready.

"As you have eyes, I presume yes" Her answer was on point savage.

"I would like to know who you are meeting with and where, drop the tone, you do NOT talk like that to me Anna" Jin was surprised at her answer, way out of character.

She sighs dropping her act, before speaking,
"I am taking my bodyguard, you don't need to worry, I'll be back in two hours at most. Just going to clear my head, please do not follow me" Her dropped shoulders and now her face that at first glance looked radiant was nervous and exhausted.

She had her head hung low and her tone was giving away how tired she was, "Taehee-aa, eat something well, and please don't exhaust yourself with dad's relationship, take care of yourself, we all are worried sick about you" Taehee looked at Namjoon and gave him a small smile, she then looked at Taehyung how was curious but couldn't meet her eyes after the talk they had last night.

"Anna-ya, I am coming in" Taehyung knocked on her door and entered, announcing his presence, Taehee was warped in her duvets, her head covered. Taehyung sat down on her bed beside her head, and slowly moved the duvet away from her face, "Taehee...you okay?"

She looked up at him, her eyes were red, she had been crying after her fall out with SeokMin.

"You wanna talk?" He asked patting her head, she slowly sat up warping her duvet around her body, leaning against the headboard.

"What you wanna ask? I know I am being horrible to Dad, and I am sorry but I can't help it right now" she mumbles looking away.

"Well it's true the way you took this relationship has indeed hurt Dad, but I know you don't have an issue with Dad being in a relationship, do you have something against Ms. Park? Is there something that has not been told, is not known to us, or something you are worried about? We can work it out, you don't need to take so much stress Taehee" Taehyung said softly to her, she looked at him for the first time and he was shocked at how terrible she looked.

"I...just...I will sort it out soon, and I cannot tell you before that, but I accept Dad's relationship and I don't have any problem with Ms. Park, Thyung-ah I am sorry, I will take care of it, I promise" She said it all while fumbling with her duvet, Taehyung hugged her, and smiled "I trust you Noona"

Taehee looked at Taehyung staring at her, she gave a small nod and walked out.

Taehee's bodyguard pulled up in the parking of a nice cafe in Gangnam, she stepped out, wearing a mask and sunglasses covering her whole face, "you can wait in the car, don't report this meeting" the bodyguard looked suspicious, "I will check the cafe once before you go in and have your meeting" she nodded and walked behind him.

The bodyguard opened the door for her, and monitored the surroundings, he nodded at her to go ahead and walked out.

"Hello, Tatiana" The guy dressed in semi-formals stood up from the corner table with a little nervous tone, he addressed TaeHee, she walked to him and gave a tight-lipped smile, "Hello...Park Jimin".

They both sat down, with the waiter coming in to serve coffee, Jimin and TaeHee looked at each other for moments as the aroma of coffee filled the air around them and they sat silently in the heavy awkwardness.

Jimin clears his throat, "Umm...so, how do we begin this?" He asked, as clueless as Taehee.

"Well, your Mom, and my Dad, our parents might be getting married soon, that will make us step-siblings, I haven't given my dad my approval, even had a small fight with him, so I think we gotta sort this out before this becomes more awkward than it already is" TaeHee spoke nonchalantly, after removing her mask and sunglasses.

"Yeah, I totally get it, I haven't been able to talk to my Eomma about this really, I feel guilty and horrible about it" Jimin spoke, his eyes bearing his guilt.

"So...like there were no strings, right?" She questioned.

"Well, speaking of it honestly, I found you very stunning but it was a one-time thing, I would have said I still liked you because you are still kind of the same person and more stunning now, but now that the situation is different, I have gotten over any of the attraction that I had for you, and I want to ask you the same question, No strings at your side?" Jimin was elaborative with his answer, he didn't want it to be awkward but didn't want to be dishonest as well by saying a plain no.

"We are on the same page, it was just make-out and nothing else happened, and I thought we were probably never gonna meet again so I was very much over until I saw you a week ago. It kinda struck me, at the change of situation, and the dynamics it will put us in" She was plain in tone but her answer was truthful.

"Well...now How do we proceed with this?"

"I think we should not tell our parents, I am certain they will feel very awkward and might even call it off, so we can explain to them sometime after their marriage?" TaeHee was especially nervous about how her father and brothers were going to react to her sneaking out and going on a yacht party in the middle of the night, well Taehyung knew, he knew she had made out with a random guy from the party, but didn't know it was Park Jimin, and the consequences can go as far as her father cancelling the marriage, he won't wanna marry the woman whose son his daughter almost slept with.

"I think the same, and I really hope TaeHee we can have a civil relation, even if we don't bond as brother and sister, I am kinda hoping that you won't be uncomfortable with me" Jimin scratched the back of his neck in nervousness.

"I am not sure if we will be able to become brother and sister, but I can try, it might take me time to be comfortable with the idea, but we can work it out" Jimin gave her a heart-melting smile and Taehee smiled back at him, this time genuinely.

"So off with the serious shit, how have you been?" Jimin relaxed in his seat, more comfortable now that the awkward topic was out of the window, discussed and clear, she too relaxed seeing him loosen up.

"I am doing great as of now. My degree in business will be completed around the same time next year" She said, picking up her cup to take a sip of coffee.

"Oh, that's cool, you are still modelling?" TaeHee smiles that Jimin still remembers, that when she was fifteen she started to model for small roles, she also was a child actress before her mother's death.
"Currently I am working with Taehyung only, mostly for his designing projects and side gigs, I'm also helping in the designing with Taehyung, how are you doing?"

"Me... I am finishing my graduation in 6 months and debuting after" Jimin is an idol trainee under Hybe, TaeHee remembers that, "I thought you were going to debut in May? That's why I reserved the cafe and brought my bodyguard" TaeHee asked with a little confusion showing on her face.

"Well, I was, but I pushed for this semester, I didn't want to go to University and get mobbed on a daily basis, plus my graduation would have significantly suffered if I debuted during it, I am also improving my vocals right now and practising for debut" Jimin elaborates slumping his shoulders a little.

"Understandable, I hope you rock your debut" After this they continued to chat for a while until Taehee's bodyguard came in with Jin's call asking for Taehee to get back home.

"I need to get going, it was nice to clear this out Jimin, see you soon" TaeHee and Jimin hugged and bid goodbye to each other.
