GOODBYE, GOODBYE, GOODBYE
( chapter 3becker household )

THE POLICE STATION WASN'T AFR FROM THE BECKER HOUSE. Using her phone, Abigail decided to text Wes to make sure he didn't worry. 'Hey, it's late, so I walked home; I'll see you tomorrow x' she texted, closing her phone and walking into the house. The girl walked through the door, taking off her red scarf and bag. She tiredly walked further into the house, placing herself on the couch. Today was a long day.

It had been an hour since she got home; her phone had been ringing for ten minutes. Nichole was still at the hospital with Lottie. Abigail was alone. Instead of answering the phone (because it was an unknown number and could be ghost face), she sat on the couch, flipping through channels on the tv. The phone continued to ring, as Abi was doing before she ignored it, letting it ring (like she wasn't there).

All Abi could think about was that it could be Ghostface, ready to attack. All she had to do was not answer the phone, and then she would be fine. Every time the phone rang, it just kept annoying the girl more and more. It finally reached the like thirty-first time calling when Abigail decided to turn her phone on silent, just in case, she decided to text Wes... 'blocked caller will not stop calling me. I blocked the number but maybe tell your mom just in case something happens.' It took a while, though she eventually got a reply. 'Shit, Abs, it's 5 in the morning, but yeah, I'll tell my mom. I hope everything is okay.'

Abigail looked down at her phone, Wes' message made her smile. She went to type back, but something came up on her screen: a phone call. Didn't she just block the number? This time it already had a name 'Maybe: Amber Freeman.' She had always had Amber's contact information; Amber was her best friend. Given the fact that it said 'maybe' it must be the killer.

Fed up with the constant calls, Abigail rolled her eyes and decided to answer the phone. "Can you please just stop calling? This isn't funny," she asked, calmly. It was ghostface. She knew it, and there was nothing she could do. She spoke kindly, as nice as she could, knowing full well that it wouldn't have any effect on the decision the killer made.

She expected silence, though deep down she knew how it would end; she knew it was the killer, and it might not end well. "I'm not trying to be funny; I'm just going to kill you!" The killer snapped. "I've already killed someone, and you're about to be next, bitch!" They informed her.

Abigail didn't reply; instead, she felt tears streaming down her face. "You sound delusional; what would killing me do? I've been more than nice to everyone I know; there is no reason to kill me." She argued, trying to recall what she had done that could result in someone wanting to kill her. Silence followed, making Abi feel even more scared. She slowly sat up and walked over to the kitchen counter and carefully sat down on one of the stools, waiting for a reply.

Eventually they did reply, "Abigail, I have my reasons; you'll never know them... if things turn out the way I want them to." A wave of fear started to make its way through the Becker girl. Once again, Abi didn't reply, "Now, I have a game: hide and seek. If you can find me, I might let your little boyfriend live through all this," they started to explain (not that Abigail agreed to playing any game). More fear washed over Abigail as she realized that the killer could be in her house, or even worse, Wes' house. Either one of them could die.

The killer seemed to be waiting for her reply, though she was texting Wes. 'Answered the call, its ghost face. He is saying that if I find him, he will let you live. I think he is in my house.' On the phone, the ghostface started to talk again. "Find me, or poor little Wes will eventually die." Immediately, Abi sat up. She watched as Wes texted her back. 'Fuck Abi! Call the fucking cops; I've told my mom, just don't do what they say!' Though she wasn't going to let Wes die.

Hanging up the phone, she looked around the room. They lived in a small house, though it fit all three of them. She left the front door open! It hit her immediately, though she couldn't process the realization before the phone rang again. Same contact:'maybe Amber Freeman'. She accepted the call and was greeted by the cold, harsh voice of ghost face "I'm adding a time limit, Abigail; you have two minutes to find me or Wes dies!" They snapped. Abi let out a sob; it was a death sentence. She was searching for a ghost face. Though anything for Wes.

Wes had his mother, the sheriff. Judy would be fine, and Wes would be fine. The hicks didn't live far; if she ran, she could make it to this house in 10 minutes. Abi followed her instincts; she opened her phone, hung up the call, and ran out the front door (which, as suspected, was unlocked). Before she could even make it off the front porch, ghost face jumped in her way. They didn't hesitate to slash her wrist, which she was using to shield her face. Abi let out a scream of pain while the crimson-red liquid poured out of her arm.

She didn't know what to do; tears rushed from her face. She didn't move. She couldn't move. Without hesitation, the killer brought their knife down, planting it in her lower abdomen, causing the girl to let out an even louder, gut-wrenching scream of pain. Her vision went blurry, but it didn't stop her. Abigail lifted her foot up, kicking them in the chest before running backwards into the house. As soon as she made it inside, she slammed and locked the front door shut.

With the pain in both her left wrist and lower abdomen, she couldn't help but cry her eyes out as she slowly made it up the stairs. With every thump against the door, Abi jumped (they were trying to get in), she was almost scared to death of what might happen in that current moment. It might not end well if she didn't get help soon. With shaky hands, Abi pulled out her phone from her pocket. She needed to call or text Wes. Without hesitating, the girl called the boy; he took his time, though Wes answered it. She tried to distract herself, though all she could hear was the thumping from downstairs. "Hey, it's early; are you alright?" he began to speak.

On the face-time call, Abi could see Wes; the sun wasn't out yet, but she could see him through the phone light; his hair was a mess, and he looked exhausted. It was clear that he just woke up. As for Abigail, her mascara was running down her face (she hadn't washed it off from the previous day), along with a bit of blood, though her camera wasn't on so Wes couldn't see. "Wes, get your mom here; like, right now... he just fucking stabbed me," she cried out. Wes froze. Wait what?

"Oh my gosh, Abs, are you alright?" He questioned; just the thought of Abigail being injured was upsetting, though this was the reality. Soon enough, people would be dying every few hours; maybe it was Abi's turn. Though all he cared about was his girlfriend's safety, He had to stop himself from crying as he heard Abi's silent sobs from the other side of the call.

"He slashed my wrist and stabbed my abdomen; there's blood, a lot of blood." She explained to him, realising that the thumping had stopped; maybe they had given up, or maybe they would try something else. "I'm going to call the cops, so I'll have to hang up." She immediately added, hanging up the call. She couldn't stand looking at Wes' face and how he worried for her, she didn't want to see him sad.  A loud smash could be heard from downstairs, causing Abigail to let out a scream of terror. The familiar feeling of fear from moments before returned to Abi as she heard someone stomping up the stairs. Fuck.

Her bedroom door slammed open (it had no lock), to reveal Ghostface, the same one from before (well most likely). They slowly walked over to the girl who was frozen in her spot, she clutched her phone and was shaking... like she was in Antartica or something! They lifted their knife up, towering over her before planting it in her chest, causing another loud scream of pain to escape Abi's mouth. How hadn't someone heard her and called for help?

Grabbing her by the neck, Ghost Face pushed her onto the bed, Abigail slowly felt her throat burning at the lack of oxygen, until they released the grip on her neck. The girl attempted to get back up, but the killer slammed their knife back into her lower abdomen once again, causing her to fall back. "FUCK!" the girl screamed out in pain (and it was one of the first times she had swore), it didn't stop them, the killer planted their knife in her torso again and again. "FUCKING BITCH!" Abigail screamed again, blood splatting everywhere, from her wrist, her chest, her stomach and also her mouth, creating a small pool on the bed. Slowly the feeling from before returned, the lack of oxygen. She couldn't breathe from the amount of pain (and maybe even from her lung being stabbed).

Suddenly, her vision started to go blurry, there was no way she was going to survive this. Though it wasn't until the pain stopped and everything went back that she truly realised it... though it was too late, her life was over.

The killer seemed to be enjoying the girl's pain, they continued stabbing the girl, blood was squirting everywhere, she was unconscious (or dead— probably dead), lying on the bed. Seeing the girl in that state seemed to convince the ghostface to make sure she was truly dead (not that she would have survived it). The girl lay there defenseless, another stab to the chest, more blood squirted onto the walls and the bed sheets. Another stab, another stab, another stab. The killer continued this motion over and over until eventually the girl lay there, her insides starting to spill out of her body, she was clearly dead.

Finally, with one last stab to the chest, the killer was satisfied, mask covered in her blood, they slowly turned around, exiting the room like they didn't just kill a girl. No, correction... they gutted Abigail Becker. Just by seeing her, it was clear that she was dead—very fucking dead. She lay on her bed, a pool of blood surrounding her; her stomach was open to the point where you could see her organs. Her room was a mess, almost everything was covered in her blood- mainly the walls, dripping in the red substance.

This was different, something was very different about this killer.

— MAEVE'S YAPS
It's been such a long time since I updated this properly (ignoring republishing it) this chapter is literally so brutal but I wanted her to die like how Olivia Morris (Olivia is actually so underrated I might make a fic of her sister but idkk!!) did in scream 4. I feel like all the innocent characters die really similarly (brutally) so yeah I thought it was fitting (UPDATE: also along with that Casey was gutted and so it fits that Abigail was too)! Goodbye Via! (UPDATE: Abi) I will miss you but I loved writing your death.

Anyways I went to the eras tour, IT WAS THE BEST!! follow my TikTok (maaevewp) for a few videos (if you would like to see) (UPDATE: so I never posted there, but i have a new account wp_downbad where I am posting, user will be changed asap)

Hopefully I finish this book soonish, but chances are it might take quite a while, I've been unmotivated but I just gotta push through. (UPDATE: finished just republishing/rewriting, which again is unmotivating but all comments are appreciated)

(UPDATE 2: so I have exams in September so I'm really sorry I say but I will rarely be publishing until then. This does not mean I will not be writing, I just won't be publishing it— mainly bc I cba to edit, though I just wanted to let you know this book is still active and don't give up on it)
