ALREADY BLEEDING
( chapter 0 — tara's house )
CHARLOTTE BECKER WISHED SHE HAD A NORMAL LIFE. Though her life was very far from being normal. Everyday she went to school, knowing her aunt was one of the first victims of the ghostface killer, knowing her mother was a 'legacy character' (or that's what Mindy called it), knowing her old friends believed she was crazy (she was crazy?) and lastly knowing her mother was an alcoholic. The girl's life was very far from normal.
Lottie and her bestfriend, Tara Carpenter, were both in the latter's kitchen, discussing the most random things ever. Everytime the two girls hang out, they had 3 main topics of discussion (of course they spoke about other things too). The first would be boys or girls, anyone they had interest in (obviously!), the second being the drama in Tara's friend group (which Lottie had left due to a large fight), and also movies, the two girls loved talking about movies and watching movies together.
The topic that night was the old friend group. Lottie could go on for hours about what happened, though Tara was in the middle, they were her bestfriend's (and had been for years), she couldn't just leave them. It was a complicated thing neither girls wanted to argue over (though Charlotte did complain a lot),
"Why do you still hang out with them, T?" Lottie questioned her best friend. In the back played their playlist they made together. (They had sleepovers almost every week so why not?). Another one of the girl's favourite things to do was listen to their favourite songs together and scream it as loud as they can. Although they weren't the best singers, to them it's all about having fun.
"Because I have known them ever since I was young." Tara defended, the Carpenter girl did not want to start an argument; she was attempting to shut down the topic as soon as possible, though Amber Freeman (a member of the group and Lottie's ex), texting her was not helping at all.
"Well, I have known them since I was young too, but ever since me and Amber's breakup, they have changed and have taken her side! They took Amber's side!" Lottie complained. She was starting to get frustrated, her head was starting to ache, as if someone was hitting her.
At the age of eleven, Lottie Becker was suspected to have schizophrenia, after a long process, at age 16 she was officially diagnosed (which one of the main reasons for her and Amber's breakup), constant headaches were sometimes a side effect.
The girl lent over the counter (to where her backpack sat), she grabbed the bag and dug through it, she needed to find her meds. Even though she hated her medication (especially the side effects with it), when a headache started, the medication would be one of the only things that made it stop. Tara wasn't aware of the girl's schizophrenia (except for the rumours Amber made up), she dismissed it, looking down at the ramen which she was currently making. Another ding noise came from her pocket (it was most likely Amber texting again).
Tara grabbed the phone, checking the text as Lottie took a pill. The carpenter girl looked up from her phone again and thought of her reply to Lottie's past statement (she had forgotten she was in a conversation still). "Well, I know that isn't fair, but I took your side. It helped you find out who your real friends are," she replied. Lottie gave Tara a small smile but didn't answer. Both girls knew that the conversation had to end.
Before Lottie could open her mouth to start a new conversation (which would be Wes Hick's crush on Tara), a ringing noise came from the counter on the other side of the room. It was the landline. "Who still uses these? I don't have one anymore," Lottie remarked, not telling her the reason why she doesn't have one. She looked down at the number. Blocked number. That's odd.
"Just ignore it; it's most likely someone calling for my mom." Tara told Lottie, the two sat in silence, waiting for the landline to stop ringing. Tara frowned, looking down at her phone. All afternoon, she had been texting someone (which again made Lottie want to question her about Wes' crush). Whoever Tara was texting must have texted the girl something that made her want to answer the phone, because that's what she did. Tara exhaled a breath, turned around, and walked over to the phone. She picked up the phone and put it on speaker. "Hello?" Tara answered.
"Hello," the voice replied; it sounded familiar. Tara eyed her friend; both girls were confused, though Lottie's confusion grew as Tara passed the girl her own phone. Charlotte grabbed the phone, seeing that it was unlocked, and Tara was texting Amber Freeman. Of course, she was texting Amber Freeman. "Is Cristina there?" The man on the phone inquired. Lottie was too busy wondering why Tara was just texting her ex to wonder why the man wanted to talk to Cristina. She slowly read through the texts from the night; it appeared Tara was trying to invite her over, maybe trying to get the couple back together?
"Sorry, she's not available," Tara informed the man, though deep down she didn't even know where her mother was. Cristina Carpenter was an alcoholic (just like Lottie's); sometimes she just never came home, and Tara had to deal with it. "May I take a message?" Tara asked him, she then turned her attention to Lottie. "Mom's new boyfriend," she mouthed. In understanding, Lottie nodded her head, giving the girl a small smile.
"Is this her daughter?" The man questioned her again, Tara frowned at the avoidance of her recent question. This did not seem like someone her mother would date (her mother hadn't dated in over a year!).
The young girl rolled her eyes and asked again, "May I take a message?" Tara repeated, also avoiding the man's question. If this person wasn't dating her mother, she probably shouldn't be speaking to him.
"Sorry, yeah, I'm a friend from her-shit," the man cut himself off, taking a pause, which made Tara smirk and Lottie giggle.
"From her shit?" Tara repeated, still smirking. This made Lottie smile even more. Sometimes the girls just laugh and smile over the most random things. That's what they end up doing every time they hang out—laughing over the stupidest things. That's why they never got bored of it.
"Um, just tell her I'm from group; I'm Charlie; she has my number," he responded. Lottie's smile dropped. There is no way in hell that Cristina Carpenter was going to a group. She wasn't even home right now (and there was no way her group would be this late!). Though maybe she did have a group and just didn't show up, that could explain why he was calling her.
"She goes to group?" Tara questioned, also not believing that her mom would be going to a group. There is a silence; the familiar voice doesn't reply.
"Look, I shouldn't have..." the man eventually replied, taking a pause before talking again. "Just tell her that Charlie called." He told her. Lottie doubts she would tell her mother anything, though.
Tara looked at her friend, smirking again. "I will do exactly that, Charlie, once you tell me what kind of group we're talking about." She asked, continuing to cook the ramen. "Text amber," Tara mouthed. Although she doesn't want to, Lottie nodded and does what Tara said as she continued to talk on the phone.
'I think it's my mom's new boyfriend' Lottie texted Amber, gaining a reply, 'seriously!!?' It was as if Amber hadn't changed one bit; she basically texted the same as when they were dating. "Well, she sounds exactly like how she describes you," the voice told the carpenter girl.
"She talks about me in group?" Tara questioned; she was extremely confused. Her mom hadn't cared about her in years; why was she in a group talking about her? Maybe the things were unkind, complaints. Though deep down Tara wished her mother was speaking highly of her, she missed the relationship she had with her mom.
"Uh, look, I don't think I can really talk about it," the man said. Lottie sat there listening; she didn't text Amber back, and she didn't say anything to Tara, instead she was starting to get a bad feeling (but who could trust the crazy girl?). She wandered over to the window, looking down at her feet as she walked. Once she was at the window, she slowly opened the curtains, moving them out of the way and peering outside the window. Nothing. It was just a feeling; it wasn't because the town was cursed or because they were home alone. They were fine. They were fine. They will be fine.
"What did she say about me?" Tara inquired, desperate to learn more from the man. When it came to her mother, she wanted to know more; she wanted to know everything her mother thought about. Tara didn't even realize that her friend was staring out the window.
There was no pause before the man replied; it was as if he had prepared what to say (instead of having to remember). "Well, she loves you very much," he stated, causing Tara to scoff. That was very unbelievable.
"Oh, what does she love about me?" Tara inquired. Lottie walked back over to the kitchen and sat on one of the stools. Tara continued to stir the ramen. Lottie wasn't really interested in the current conversation between the man on the phone and Tara. Amber hadn't texted anything else, so she had no choice but to listen.
The man hesitated; this time he had to think about it. "Uh, okay, well." He took a pause, thinking about how he should respond. Lottie frowned at this, suspicious. "She loves that you're creative; you love art, TV, and movies," he stated. The girls looked at each other, knowing he was being very general with his response. A lot of people are like this—most people, actually. Both girls share the exact interests that he listed.
"Okay, well, lots of people love movies," Tara stated after seeing the look on Lottie's face. God, she would love to be watching a movie with the ginger haired girl who sat in the room with her, instead she was stuck on the phone with her mother's boyfriend.
"Yeah, but she says you love scary movies," he responded. Tara froze slightly. Maybe her mom loved her more than she thought? "And that you guys have that in common makes her proud of you," he stated.
"She is?" Tara questioned, still unsure of what to believe.
"Yeah, she told me the other day she wondered, What's your favorite scary movie?" He spoke, the question sounded familiar; the two girls couldn't quite figure out why. Instead, Tara answered the question almost immediately.
"Uh, the Babadook. It's an amazing meditation on motherhood and grief," she quickly told him. She just wanted to finish the call, finish making the ramen (which she was still stirring), and watch the movie she had Lottie had planned to watch. Lottie frowned at the girl; she would much prefer Final Destination, her favorite movie of all time.
"Isn't that a little fancy pants?" He began, making Lottie smirk; she had always thought the exact same thing. In the past, she would always debate with Amber and Tara about it (they thought she was wrong though she had Mindy on her side).
"Well, it's elevated horror," Tara informed him, smiling and focusing on the ramen still.
"Uh, what does that mean, elevated horror?" The man asked the girl; it sounded normal coming from him, not knowing all the new trends and movies, he sounded old.
"You know it's scary, but with complex emotional and thematic underpinnings." Tara explained, shrugging her shoulders slightly. Lottie smirked again as she had heard this exact rant from her old friend Mindy Meeks Martin before they stopped being friends (though the rant lasted almost an hour—Mindy never knew when to stop and she didn't even like elevated horror). "It's not just some schlocky cheeseball nonsense with wall-to-wall jump scares." She explained to him, making it clear that she prefers elevated horror a lot more.
That was the difference between Tara and Mindy; they both have the same opinions but prefer the other thing (Tara preferred elevated horror and Mindy preferred normal horror). It was something Lottie used to always find funny.
"Hmm, that sounds kind of boring to me," the familiar voice shared, and then it hit Lottie. The voice belonged to Ghostface (the voice of the person who killed her aunt!); it was most likely Mindy pranking them! "Have you ever seen a stab?" They asked. Is it Mindy? Why would Mindy do it if Lottie was over? Maybe she doesn't know Lottie was over? No matter if it was Mindy or not, the bad feeling from before was beginning to return.
"Once, I think... at a sleepover when I was like 12," Tara answered. Lottie thought back to that sleepover; it was a month before Amber came and 5 years before she messed everything up.
At the time, the group consisted of Chad and Mindy Meeks Martin (the twins and Lottie's best friends at the time), Wes Hicks, Tara Carpenter, Abigail Becker (Lottie's 'innocent' cousin), and, of course, Charlotte herself. It was peaceful; everyone got along; there were no arguments. The group would have sleepovers every weekend when Sam Carpenter (Tara's sister) would babysit them; they did this almost every week (even when amber was around) until the age of thirteen,, when Sam left Tara and her mom. Afterwards, they still had sleepovers, though it became less constant. Since then, two new people officially joined the group and one left. Amber Freeman properly joined first (bringing the drama with her), then Lottie left (due to her and Amber's breakup), and from Tara's information, Liv McKenzie had joined (she was dating Chad).
"You live in Woodsboro, and you don't know stab?" The man on the phone remarked, Lottie thought about it; she had her own reasons for not watching it, but Tara? She must be one of the only people she knew who hadn't watched it properly. "Well, your mother loves that movie; she talks about it all the time in group. How well do you remember the original?" They questioned.
"I don't know; it was like super 90s." Tara shared, a frown was displayed on her face. She was finding out stuff about her mom she never knew... her mom liking stab, really?. "It's really overlit, and everyone had weird hair," she added. This makes Lottie giggle slightly; it's funny because it's true.
"Do you remember the beginning?" they questioned. Lottie froze. In the girl's life, she had four secrets (the four things that made her life not normal), only one of which was still a secret. She wouldn't sit there and let a stranger on the other side of the phone spill her last secret. Though she did sit there, there was nothing she could do.
"Not really," Tara replied, thinking back to what she remembered; it was all a blur. At the time they had the sleepover, she was more focused on how much her sister was changing. "I mean, it started with a kill scene; they always started with the kill scene." The carpenter girl guessed (she was correct), and Lottie put her face in the palm of her hands, causing Tara to frown. Did she say something wrong?
"Yeah, that's right, that's right," the person responded. "It's a girl at home alone, your friend Lottie's aunt. She answers the wrong number and starts talking with the killer, who makes her play a game." The person explained, Tara also froze; she was aware that Lottie's aunt was dead, but was she aware that she was killed by a killer? No, and how did this person know? "Would you like to play a game, Tara?" He lastly asked as Tara quickly hung up the phone, a wave of fear washing over both of the girls. What the fuck.
They were fine. They were fine. They were fine.
"Oh my god," Lottie sighed in fear, taking her head away from her hands and picking up Tara's phone to text Amber again. 'It was some physco; we're locking the doors'
"Your aunt got killed?" Tara inquired, though Lottie didn't reply; she just looked down at Amber's reply, 'WTF, are you okay? wdym we?' She began to type a reply but stopped, nodding her head in response to Tara's question. Tara walked over to the window, closing the curtains (which Lottie had left open) and making sure no one was out there. Both girls had an uneasy and bad feeling.
Lottie deleted the text she was typing, beginning to type a new one: ''Lottie's here. It's fine, we just-' she started, though she never finished as the landline rang again. Tara let out a small squeal as both of the girls jumped slightly. Then Lottie got a notification (well, from Tara's phone). 'You should answer it.' Amber had texted. What the fuck. This must be some sort of prank! 'How did you know my landline was ringing?' Lottie texted in response, gaining no reply, 'Amber?' She followed up with.
'This isn't Amber' the person she was texting responded. The landline was still ringing, though both girls were way too scared to answer it. Instead, Tara leant over Charlotte's shoulder, reading the messages that were being sent from Amber's number. 'ANSWER THE PHONE BITCH' another text was sent. Both girls froze with fear as another text was sent. 'ANSWER THE PHONE OR AMBER DIES'
Reading the message, Tara ran to pick up the phone, fed up with whatever prank her friend was attempting to pull. "This isn't fucking funny, Amber!" She snapped at her friend. Lottie felt bad for the girl, having to deal with this, though at the same time she felt thankful, thankful that Amber wasn't in her life to do this shit to her anymore. But then again, the red-haired girl was involved as much as Tara was.
"I told you, this isn't Amber," the same male voice from before snapped back. Both of the girls fell silent again. If this wasn't amber, who was it? Lottie held onto Tara's phone but didn't continue typing any sort of reply; she just held the phone. Eventually, the sound of a notification went off, bringing her attention back to the phone and away from the call. This time the notification was from another messaging app; it was a video sent from Amber's phone. A video of Amber doing her hair in her bedroom. The video seemed to be taken from outside the girl's window and without her knowledge. "Ambers looking particularly fetching tonight." The person stated, Lottie showed Tara what was on the phone. "She really shouldn't leave her phone lying around for anyone to clone," they added.
"What do you want?" Tara cried, tears spilling out of her eyes. All she wanted was for this to be over. The two girls were home alone, and it was scaring them. Deep down, both girls loved Amber Freeman, and they wouldn't let her die. In the video, a knife was held in the frame, causing tears to continue to flood both their eyes. This was real; it wasn't some stupid movie or a stupid dream or a stupid prank (maybe). Amber Freeman could die, and it could be their own fault.
"I already told you, I want to play a game!" They told her, quickly beginning to explain the game. "Stab movie trivia: three rounds; you call the cops; she dies; you get a question wrong; she dies." Both the girls feel tears running down their cheeks.
"Shit," Lottie breathed. She was trying to control her breathing as Tara let out a small but loud sob. As much as Lottie hated her ex, she would never want her dead. Deep down, she is still in love with the moody girl who would occasionally come to her soccer games, the girl she would skip classes to make out with, the girl who she had her first kiss with. Maybe, if she somehow saved Amber, things could be as they were, though who knows if that's impossible? Amber fucked Lottie's life up, and Amber's life is in the hands of Tara Carpenter and Charlotte Becker. As for Tara, she can't lose her best friend, the girl she has liked ever since she came to Woodsboro.
The short silence ended when the person spoke again: "Her parents aren't home; I can be in that room in 15 seconds." He threatened. Tara and Lottie looked at each other, realizing the severity of the situation (not that they weren't taking it seriously). "You want a warm-up question?" The man asked.
"I told you! I don't know these movies!" Tara argued with the man again, tears flooding her eyes. "Ask me about something I do know; ask me about it follows; ask me about hereditary; ask me about the witch!" She suggested, but the person on the other side of the call stayed silent. They wanted the questions to be on stab, so that means they would be on stab. Tara had to stop arguing, or Amber was done for.
"In the first stab movie, what Woodsboro native was introduced as the franchise's main character?" They interrogated, ignoring Tara's begging. Tara let out a sob, then paused, remembering the answer.
"Sidney Prescott! It's Sidney Prescott, right?" Tara burst out; maybe she did know the movie better than she thought. Lottie hadn't actually watched the movies, though she knew a lot about them due to her conversations with her drunk mother. She had only recently found out that her mother was involved in the first second and fourth ghost face attacks and was a character in the movie (this was a very big shock to Lottie.. and a new secret to keep).
There was a small pause (as the man seemed to be thinking), "Correct! See, you're going to do great at this, okay, question one." The person replied, sending both girls into shock. How is that fair? Tara got the question right!
"No, that should count! I got that one right!" Tara argued. although it was such an easy question, she hadn't properly watched the movie. To some people, it could be a hard question! Tara thought a bit while waiting for the next question. The first was easy, but she needed to get this right; she needed to save Amber.
"Anyone could have gotten that one right; Sidney's in every movie but the last one." They snapped back before continuing with the questions. "Question one: who wrote the original book that the stab movies are based on?"
Tara hesitated; she knew who they were talking about, but she couldn't remember the name. Was it something to do with the weather? Maybe she announced the weather or something; she had definitely seen her on television before. "The chick from TV," she spit out. Lottie sighed. She had observed this man's talking for the past 10 minutes; he doesn't seem to be the person to let that kind of answer slide.
"The chick from TV is not going to cut it, Tara." The person informed her. Lottie could tell Tara was starting to freak out trying to remember the name, which she could not remember. "Gale weather," Lottie mouthed, hoping Tara would understand, but the man wouldn't hear (thankfully).
"Gale weathers! It's gale weather, motherfucker!" Tara snapped happily, mouthing "thank you" back to her best friend. Lottie nodded her head and gave her a small smile, though that didn't stop her tears from falling. That was one question out of three. It was the first (and probably the easiest), and Tara had already struggled.
"Correct! Amber might live to see the sunrise! Question two: Who played the dumb bitch in the beginning of Stabbing One, who answers the phone and gets carved up by the killer?" They questioned her, and Lottie felt as though that question triggered something inside her.
"Fuck you!" Lottie snaps at the person. How dare they insult her dead aunt like that? Casey Becker wasn't dumb or a bitch. She could have easily lived through her attack if Lottie's grandparents had arrived only a few minutes earlier.
"Is that the answer you're going with?" They ask, most likely with a grin on their faces, Have they finally gotten them? Maybe? Who knows, but all the girls can think about is Amber being dead, and they are the ones that will be getting the blame. Thinking back, Lottie tried her best to remember who played her aunt in the movie.
"I told you, I don't know these movies!!" Tara cried out, but just got ignored.
"A non-answer counts as a wrong answer," he informed both girls. "Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock," they added, reminding the girls they needed to answer the question.
Lottie desperately thought back. She had met the actor before. "Heather Graham," Lottie mouthed again, remembering the actress. She had met the actress many times. Heather Graham had always been so supportive of the fact that she played Casey Becker. "Heather graham!!" Tara shouted, happy that they were so close to saving Amber. One more question left.
"Correct! You pulled that one out; now for the final question, Who was the killer in stab one?" They questioned, Something clicked inside of Tara; her eyes went wide, and she stood in an upright position. Maybe she finally knew the answer to a question.
"I know this one, you fuck!" The carpenter girl remarked. "It's Billy Loomis! It's Billy Loomis, and he was Sidney's boyfriend, and he planned the whole thing, and he was played by Luke Wilson, and I got you, asshole! I got it! I got it right!" She celebrated, though silence followed from the other side of the phone. As for Lottie, her face froze; she can't remember the name, but there were definitely two killers. She needed to remember the name before the man could reply.
Too late.
"Oh, I'm sorry, Tara, but that's just not correct." They replied, and Tara's face slowly dropped in fear as the tears returned to both girls.
"What?" She breathed out, feeling as if she would never be able to breathe again, knowing she probably just killed her friend. Before she could panic, the person replied again.
"The correct answer is Billy Loomis and Stu Macher! There are two killers in the original stab. I'm afraid someone's got to die now!" The person told her: Lottie looked down at Tara's phone; another video had been sent; the killer is holding a knife in front of the camera; in the background, it shows Amber still in front of the mirror, adjusting her hair.
Tara immediately hung up the phone, placing it on the counter next to her. "No, no, Amber, I'm coming!" Tara spoke to herself, grabbing a knife from the knife block and rushing towards the front door. Presumably to save Amber.
Lottie once again got a gut feeling about the girl's action and opened her mouth. "TARA STOP!" She screamed, though it was too late. Tara opened the door to reveal the infamous ghost face killer, planting their knife in Tara's abdomen. The carpenter girl let out a scream of pain as the tears from before had returned; the pain was so strong that it felt like she couldn't breathe. As the killer attempted to stab again, Tara punched the ghostface in the face, knocking them back so she could close the door. Lottie rushed over, helping the Carpenter girl close the door to shove the person out. "Fuck, fuck, fuck!" Tara shouted in fear. The attacker was strong and fought back, though after a few moments, the girls were able to close and lock the door, shutting the masked person out.
Lottie turned her head towards her friend; both girls were crying their eyes out and shaking. What are they meant to do? Lottie observed the Carpenter girl; her hand was over her abdomen (where she was stabbed), blood was over her shirt and hand, and was spilling from the wound. "Don't worry, everything's going to be alright." Lottie comforted her friend, though she didn't know if she even believed herself. Their attacker was banging on the door, desperately trying to get in, and Tara was bleeding out. Not replying, Tara snatched her phone from Lottie's hand. Charlotte couldn't see what she was doing, but it looked like she was pressing buttons, most likely calling the police or getting help.
Over the thumping heard from the door, a robotic voice sound came from the front door. 'All systems armed' it announced. Tara clicked another button before gripping onto the knife. "The police are on their way, ASSHOLE!" She snapped at the masked person. The thumping on the door seemed to slow down, then the robotic voice began to speak again. 'All systems disarmed' it announced. A large sob left Tara's lips as she scrambled to arm the systems again. 'All systems armed'
'All systems disarmed.'
'All systems are armed.'
'All systems disarmed.'
Tara's sobs would be heard, and though the Becker girl was too busy talking to herself, it was like someone else was there. "Please just leave; I didn't do anything; Tara didn't do anything," she mumbled silently. Tears were running down her cheek and falling off her chin, though it wasn't bothering her.
'All systems are armed.'
'All systems disarmed.'
The pain was starting to fill throughout Tara's body, causing her reaction to slow before rearming again. Tara screamed in fear, What if they got in? 'All systems are armed.' Suddenly, the landline phone rang again, causing Lottie to break out of her mumbles: "I'll get it, Tara!" Lottie told her friend, sprinting to the kitchen where Lottie had left the device. Tara slowly followed behind as Lottie picked it up. "Hello," she answered.
"Bonus question, Charlotte." The voice from before spoke.
"Please stop," Tara cried out, just loud enough for the person on the other side of the phone to hear.
"Do you think I made it inside her house before Tara could rearm?" They calmly asked, and without any warning, the attacker grabbed Tara from behind, planting their knife in her stomach, then shoved her against the kitchen counter. While doing this, they also shoved Lottie out of the way, into the wall, and onto the floor. Tara punched them square in the face; they stumbled a bit, though they managed to regain control and push Tara into the floor.
A groan of pain was heard, which brought their attention to the Becker girl, (who was getting up off the floor). The attacker turned their head and then turned their body to face the Becker girl. She was a short distance from them, though it still shocked her when they grabbed her by the hair, throwing her on the floor alongside Tara. Lottie (who was barely harmed, besides the blood dripping down her forehead) squirmed away, expecting Tara to follow behind. Though Tara was not following behind, due to the stab wound in her abdomen, the girl struggled to crawl away.
From above, the attacker watched the scene, and given the fact that Lottie was easily getting away, they decided to deal with her first. To stop her squirming, they gripped onto her leg, though that didn't stop the girl from desperately attempting to get free. Her arms were flying everywhere, trying to slide across the ground. She was getting nowhere. The person dropped her leg on the floor (obviously sick of the girls squirming), they planted their knife into her thigh, and then again in her calf. Crimson-red blood oozed everywhere (as if it were a medical show), though it wasn't a medical show. Charlotte let out a gut-wrenching scream of pain. The killer grabbed her long hair and pulled her up; he grabbed her neck and slammed her against the wall repeatedly until her vision was blurry and she couldn't even process the pain.
Although the girl was almost unconscious, the masked person didn't hesitate to slash her abdomen open, causing even more blood to pool out. Sirens could be heard, which reminded the attacker that they hadn't yet dealt with the Carpenter girl. He quickly dropped Lottie to the floor, allowing her to sit in a pool of her own blood. Charlotte couldn't process it; she was too busy trying to stop the bleeding in her abdomen, though her hands wouldn't move. She couldn't move. All she could hear were Tara's ear-piercing screams filling the room as the sound of the sirens came closer and closer.
She had to hold on. She kept reminding herself she had to hold on. Though she couldn't. Black dots filled her already blurry vision, allowing her to fall unconscious.
Ghostface had returned to Woodsboro.
Ghostface had returned to Woodsboro.
Ghostface had returned to Woodsboro, Charlotte Becker and Tara Carpenter were the first of many victims.
— MAEVE'S YAPS
WELCOME TO BLEED FOR YOU!! I am obsessed with scream 5 opening scene and I decided to add Lottie to it! I thought it would be cool as Casey Becker is her aunt and they both are opening kills/attacks. Trust me this book will get more original not just me adding my character. I have another oc (Abigail Becker) who will part of the storyline and have her own attack!
ENJOY THE BOOK 🤍🤍🤍 this is currently my main priority book and I can't wait to continue writing!!
(UPDATE: So far I've turned my worst chapter (this) into one of the best things I've written. The process of rewriting some chapters has been long but I'm really going to try and be finished in the next two months. For this chapter the changes I have made are; adding detail and I expanding by almost 2000 words!)
