Outside of the town in the middle of the night, Y/N was seen running, trying to find Ichigo. 

Y/N: Ichigo! Where are you?! (continues running) Damnit, where the hell could she have gone? 

He then notice something which made him stop. He knows what that is. It was a gravestone, one that belonged to Ichigo's mother, Masaki. 

The boy had a sad expression as he kneel down in front of it, paying his respect to her.

Y/N: Hi, Masaki, I'm back. Sorry I didn't came to your anniversary, you must've been worried about me. But I'm alright. Also, I apologize for what happened to you. I tried to say the girl from falling into the lake, but instead, I caused your death, not knowing what truely happened. But I promise I'll get stronger to protect everyone I cared about, so they won't suffer the same fate as you did. 

Suddenly, a loud sword clash and bang was heard from the distance. 

Y/N: What was that? 

While that happens, sense some strong spiritual pressure coming from the distance which was weird but he didn't flinch.

Y/N: What the- Why am I sensing a strange energy? It's different from seeing ghosts or spirits. I should go and investigate.

Y/N went to investigate that strong spiritual pressure he sensed.

(short time-skip) 

Y/N was seen at a path next the road with telephone poles as he found the source of that spiritual pressure. He saw Ichigo who was in her Soul Reaper form and three people he didn't recognized.

One of them was a short and petite girl with light skin and purple eyes. Her hair is black, with several strands of hair always hanging between her eyes.

The second was a young man with brown eyes and long crimson hair, which is usually kept in a high ponytail with some sort of goggles on his head.

The third was a man with slate gray eyes and long black hair, which he keeps up in intricate white headpieces wearing three on top of his head and another two on the right side along with a white scarf.

Y/N's thoughts: Is that, Ichigo? (looks at the other girl) That other girl must be Rukia, the one Yuzu and Karin told me about. (looks at the men) But who are those guys? 

Y/N then noticed something was wrong. Ichigo was seen badly wounded while bleeding. The same can be said for that Rukia girl. Was it those men? Did they hurt attack them? 

??? 1: It's over. Very soon, you'll be dead, and Rukia will get her powers back. And then, Rukia will go back to the Soul Society to die. 

 Ichigo expresses surprise along with Y/N as a nearby light flickers out.

???: Man, you are as dumb as they come. Rukia came out here on her own, just so you wouldn't have to get involved. You should have stayed put at home, but you had to come play the hero. 

Y/N clenched his fisted in anger, he has to do something or else they'll die. 

??? 1: (smirks) Just what did you think you could accomplish here? You're not a Reaper. You're a fake! There's no way you could hurt a real Soul Reaper. You couldn't even lay a scratch one on of us. 

Suddenly, the crimson haired man got kicked in the back of his head by Y/N who landed in front of Ichigo. 

Y/N: Ichigo, are you okay? 

She stares at him with wide eyes as she has a confuse look on her face.

Ichigo: Y/N? You can see me?

Y/N: (raised his eyebrow) Yeah, I can see you wearing a strange kimono outfit while carrying a huge sword. Is there something wrong with that?

Ichigo: No, it's just...

??? 1: (grunts, get's back up) Hey you! (got Y/N's attention) Tell me.  How are you able to see me? No human should be able to see a Soul Reaper. 

Y/N: Did you do this to her? 

??? 1: Huh? 

Y/N: Did you hurt my friend? 

??? 1: What does that matter to you? 

Y/N then walks up to the crimson heard man with an angry expression while clenching his fists.

Ichigo: Wait, Y/N! Stop! Don't fight him!

Rukia: You fool! A human isn't a match for a Soul Reaper!

Renji: (smirks) Someone's confident to face me. But your friends are right, human. I am Renji Abarai, lieutenant of Squad 6 under Captain Byakuya Kuchiki! If that fake Soul Reaper can't defeat, what could you possible think- 

Suddenly, Renji was cut off when Y/N punched him in the face to the ground. Ichigo and Rukia were shocked by this, even Byakuya widen his eyes in surprise. 

But wasn't done. Y/N kicked Renji at the chin before he gave him an uppercut which send him flying to a hill. Renji groan as he placed his hand over his cheek, which was feeling bruised. 

Renji's thoughts: What the hell?! How can a human be so strong?!

Rukia's thoughts: I don't believe it... He manage to hurt Renji. 

Ichigo's thoughts: Uryū and I had trouble fighting this guy, but Y/N managed to lay a few blows on him. 

Y/N: Sorry about interrupting you. But you left yourself wide open with that mouth of yours. You said about not getting a scratch, but that bruise on your face says otherwise.

Renji: (grunts) You punk... You really think you could fight me as an equal? Come back in 2,000 years! 

Suddenly, Renji's sword transformed into an even longer 6-part segmented blade; each segment is wider than the one preceding it from the hilt, with 2 pick-like protrusions on the front and back of each segment, with the ones on the front much longer than the ones on the back.

Y/N and Ichigo looked shocked at the transformed sword.

Y/N's thoughts: (shocked) His sword can transform?

A grin grew on Renji face as he prepared his new weapon at his opponent. 

Renji: Roar, Zabimaru! Now, open your eyes! See what lies before you and fall upon your prey! 

Renji leaps into the air while preparing to slash downward at Y/N who dodged, however the sword retracted before coming at Y/N, digging into his shoulder and causing him to grunt in pain as he falls to his knees in shock.

Y/N's thoughts: It can retract as well? Just what kind of weapon is it?

Renji: (chuckles) It's all over, you little runt. You've lost to Renji Abarai and will die where you stand!  

Y/N then early dodged a swing from Renji, but he wasn't prepared for Zabimaru to come and wrap itself around him.

Y/N: What the- ARGH!!!

Y/N yelled in pain for the blades shred into him, blood flying everywhere as he collapsed to your hands and knees. 

Ichigo: Y/N!

Y/N: (grunts) Hey, that weapon of yours. It's not a normal sword. Just what is it and how it can change shape?

Renji: If you must know, this is a Zanpakuto. A sword that all Soul Reapers carry with them. (retracts Zabimaru) Sorry it's ending this way, kid. But that's what's known as a difference in strength. That's because the Zanpakuto can change its size and shape in response to the wielder's spirit energy. How do you like my spirit energy? 

Ichigo's thoughts: His spirit energy can make his Zanpakuto change shape and size? This is unreal... 

Rukia's thoughts: Now Ichigo knows that there is a difference in their strength. It's made her realize he has no chance of winning, and so she's backing down. (looks at Y/N) Y/N, if you can still move then save yourself. Take Ichigo and run. Please.

Renji: Well, that's it kid. It's time for me to head out. I don't like the way the air smells here. Ready? 

Y/N: Tch...!

Renji: No answer, eh? 

However, Y/N remains unresponsive, and as Renji charges in to deal the finishing blow which caused Rukia to run up.

Rukia: Run, Y/N, move!

Renji was about to end him as Y/N crossed his arms while he closed his eyes until... nothing happened. He then opened his eyes to see he was holding a black key-shaped sword which blocked Zabimaru. 

Y/N: (surprised) Wow, what is that? 

Ichigo: Is that Zanpakuto? No, it looks like a key. But if that's the case, then what is it? 

Renji: (shocked) What the?! Where did that sword come from?!

Rukia and Ichigo were shocked as Byakuya recognized that sword. 

Byakuya's thoughts: A sword shaped like a key. Could it be...? Is he the chosen one of a Keyblade? 

Y/N: I don't know what this is, but at least I have a weapon to fight! (pushed Renji back)  

Renji: (smirks) Interesting. This will work out just fine. I've been thinking it'd be a shame to finish off someone who couldn't move anymore. 

Y/N: (gets up on his feet) 

Renji: I guess the only thing left for you to do is fight hard and die. 

Rukia: Run! You must save yourself! I'm begging you, run! 

Rukia stops mid-sentence as she sees the keychain on his Keyblade moving on its own. 

Renji: What's wrong? If you won't attack then I will! 

Just then, Y/N unleashes a powerful wave of spiritual pressure, stunning Renji. 

Renji's thoughts: His spiritual pressure's increasing. Impossible!

Glaring at Renji, Y/N surges toward him with his Keyblade and slashes through his left shoulder as he leaps into the air behind him. 

Ichigo's thoughts: (shocked) No way! He moves much faster than before! 

Upon landing, Y/N quickly turns back to face Renji. 

Renji: What the hell?! 

Renji raises Zabimaru in an attempt to block him, but Y/N delivers a powerful upward slash, knocking Renji backward off his feet and into the air. 

Forced to grab onto a nearby railing in order to bring himself to a halt, Renji looks up at Y/N while bleeding from the forehead and is shocked when his visor snaps in two, revealing his tattoos.

Renji's thoughts: (astonished) What is with this kid? He was ready to die just a minute ago. So then how'd he get this newfound power? 

Y/N stands up and grins as he exerts more spiritual pressure, causing Renji to gasp.

Y/N: (grins) Hah! I'll tell you exactly what's wrong. It's just your moves have somehow suddenly become a lot slower. 

Ichigo's thoughts: That's not true. He's gotten faster and he didn't realized it. Plus his spiritual energy continues to increase. 

Y/N: I don't understand what's happening to me, but I like it. I feel no pain from my wounds. In fact I feel like I'm invincible! (laughs maniacally) 

Ichigo's thoughts: (realized) Wait, something's odd. Y/N's acting a bit different than before... 

Soon, Ichigo's mind felt heavy after the wounds she got from facing Renji and Byakuya as she started to black out and loose consciousness. 

Renji: (grunts in anger) Why, you! (stands up) Zabimaru, time for you to roar! 

Renji gets to his feet and swings Zabimaru at him, only to retract it and swing again from a different angle when Y/N further exerts his spiritual pressure.

After Y/N dodges his second swing, Renji fully retracts Zabimaru and swings downward at him, prompting Y/N to deflect it with a slash with his Keyblade.

Knocked off-balance by this, Renji retracts Zabimaru once more and assumes a battle stance as a grinning Y/N leaps over the railing and attacks Renji, who dodges to the side.

Rukia's thoughts: Renji's being overpowered. Incredible. Just who is this boy? 

Byakuya: ...

Nearby, Y/N runs and jumps over a rooftop to slash at Renji, leading the latter to leap away and land back on the street, where he falls to his knees as Y/N lands nearby.

Y/N: (sarcasm) You're awfully good at dodging my new sword. 

Renji's thoughts: (feels another surge of spiritual pressure coming Y/N) What's happening? How much higher can his spirit energy go?  

Y/N: But all that's about to end. You'll pay for hurting my friends.

Renji: (enraged) You bastard!

Byakuya: That's enough, Renji. 

Renji: Captain Kuchiki. 

Y/N turns around and notices Byakuya who has his sword near Ichigo's throat. 

Y/N: Ichigo! 

Byakuya: Not a single step, Keyblade wielder. 

Rukia and Renji's eyes widen upon hearing that name. 

Rukia: A Keyblade wielder? 

Renji's thoughts: So that sword he's holding is a Keyblade. Regardless of that, there's still the matter of that extraordinary spiritual pressure that he demonstrated earlier. 

Byakuya: What's the matter, Renji?

Renji: (snaps out his thoughts) Nothing, Captain. 

Byakuya: (looks at Y/N) Our business does not involve you. We're only here to capture Rukia. If you interfere any further then I will end Ichigo Kurosaki's life. 

Y/N: Damn you!

Rukia: No, Brother! (runs to him) 

Renji angrily intercepts her and pins Rukia against a sign pole with his free hand.

Rukia: Renji, let go. Let me go!

Renji: What does it matter now, you fool? Listen, if you so much as touch her, they'll add 20 years to your sentence. Besides, Rukia, you'd only end up, increasing your sins for someone who stole your powers. 

Y/N: That's enough! How could you say that to her?!

Renji: (looks at Y/N) You stay out of this! It has nothing to do with you!

Y/N: I-

Rukia: It's okay, he's right. 

Y/N: But Rukia. 

Rukia: We should leave here now, Brother. The actions Ichigo just took have opened my eyes to the truth. I am ready now. Take me back to the Soul Society. It is time that I atone for my sins. 

Y/N was confused by what Rukia was saying. He was wondering what's going on between Ichigo and Rukia. 

Rukia: I see no need to inflict a final blow upon her now. Leave them be. Soon enough, she'll die on her own. We should go now, Brother. 

Byakuya: (looks at Y/N) I'm still waiting for your answer, boy. Are willing to sacrifice one friend to save Rukia, or hand her over to save your friend?

Y/N: (thoughts) He's right. If I end up saving Rukia, Ichigo will die... I guess there's no choice but to comply. (sighs, speaking) Alright, you can take Rukia. Just don't kill her.

Byakuya: (sheath his Zanpakuto) You made a wise decision. I will not inflict the finishing blow to your friend. With my two attacks against her, I have shattered both her Soul Chain and Soul Sleep. There's no point in finishing her off. She should die in less than an hour. (Y/N gasps) Even if she does survive my attack, all her powers will be lost. Both her special Soul Reaper power as well as her spirit energy. (to Renji) Renji?

Renji: Yes. 

As it begins to rain heavily, Renji opens a strange Japanese door which three butterflies fly out of, before returning his Zanpakuto to its sealed form and sheathing it as he, Byakuya, and Rukia walk through the open doors, leaving Y/N and Ichigo behind them.

As the doors close behind Rukia, she looks back one last time at Y/N who watches with a sad look on his face. With the Senkaimon fading from view, Y/N rushes over to check on Ichigo as he notice how badly she's bleeding.

Y/N's thoughts: She's loosing too much blood. I could take her to her family's clinic, but that will take too long and she'll before I could even make it. I have to find someone to treat her injuries. 

???: My, looks like I made it in time.

Suddenly, Y/N turned behind him to see man who is carrying a black cat on his shoulder and holds an umbrella over him and Ichigo.

The man was a tall and lean with light skin and gray eyes. His hair is messy and light-blond (almost pale), with strands framing the sides of the face and hanging between his eyes, and he has chin stubble. He wears a dark green samue. Over this, he wears a black haori, which sports a white diamond pattern along its bottom half, reminiscent of an inverted captain's haori. Urahara carries a fan, which he occasionally uses to hide his face. He usually wears traditional Japanese wooden sandals and a striped dark green and white bucket hat.

Y/N's thoughts: Who is this guy? And why is he wearing a strange outfit? 

???: I have to say, you've done well holding your ground against a Soul Reaper on your first time. But I didn't think you are chosen to wield a Keyblade.

Y/N: Key...blade...

???: But enough that, your seems like she's dying. Let's take to my shop, and I can fix her up. 

Y/N: Just tell me, who are you?

Kisuke: (smiles) Me? I'm Kisuke Urahara. Nice to meet you.

Chapter 1 ended.

Finally, that's chapter 1 done. Next one will involve Ichigo explaining to Y/N what happened after he left on his trip and starts training under Kisuke.
