The situation was at a standstill. All fighters were standing still and no one was making a move. Gin, Tousen and Aizen stood still as the Lieutenants' and Captains' weapons held them at gunpoint. Aizen was under fire from Soi Fon and Yoruichi, Gin was being held by Rangiku and Tousen was being held by his lieutenant. Aizen was calm though. Everything was going just as he had planned years ago. Everyone had made the move he had to make and all the checkers were in place. Now they just had to wait for the Menos to arrive and then they would leave the Soul Society for good. Later, in Hueco Mundo, they would meet to discuss the final details of their plan. There was no way anything could go wrong. Those thoughts were proven false as cracks appeared above the skies of Soul Society. The Menos were present, but instead of using the Negacion to get them to safety, they used Cero to scatter the more troublesome Captains and Lieutenants.

The Captains realized that some of them had to deal with the new threat. To their surprise they didn't have to make a move as all the Menos stopped and just stood still. A truly enormous spiritual energy was felt seconds later and it was terrible. No Shinigami present had heard anything like that. The spirit energy was full of bloodlust.

"I must say that the Soul Society has become a little weak compared to what it once was. If nothing else, you have managed to keep the three traitors intact. These fellows will, before long, experience the true strength of a God. And you Shinigami, you will witness their deaths," said the voice. The person who was saying this had appeared out of nowhere and in a flash was beside Tousen. The Captain of the Ninth Division could not do much before a blow of the sword killed him without any effort. Those present were shocked. The newcomer had killed a Captain as if nothing had happened.

Yamamoto, however, was focused on something else. The person before him was very familiar. Her energy and speed were similar to those possessed by a woman he knew very well. A woman whose traces had been lost and whose name had also been erased.

Finally, her mind managed to find the answer. The woman in front of him was really her. Shiori, the Mother of Shinigami and Hollow and the first Queen/Goddess of Hueco Mundo. If she was there in front of him, it meant she was still alive. At the same time, however, he was a little doubtful. Why should he intervene to help them? From what he remembered, the relationship between Shiori and Soul Society hadn't always been idyllic and indeed, in some cases there had been very heated contrasts.
At the same time, however, he did not deny the fact that his arrival, however dangerous, could be useful to him and to the other captains. If Shiori killed Aizen and Gin, they could focus on her and finally eliminate all the worst criminals on the ground at that moment.

Just then another thing happened: ten Hollows appeared out of nowhere, but they seemed different from normal Hollows. Aizen immediately understood who they were: they were his Arrancar.

"As you can see Aizen, I have a couple of allies. If you're wondering how I did it, I'll explain right away," Shiori said as she looked at one of the two traitors still alive.

Ten Days Before

In Las Noches all the Arrancar were gathered waiting for Aizen to carry out his plan and say what they should do next. For a strange reason however Barragan, the Espada 2, kept talking about the fact that the current King of Hueco Mundo was about to know fear.
When asked by Ulquiorra what he meant by this, the former king gave his answer.

"I'm talking about the fact that today is the day our mother will wake up from her sleep and use her power to wipe out the Shinigami completely," the old man stated. Everyone present saw him then get up to go into a room. Being a little curious to find out who this mother of theirs was, each of them chose to follow Espada 2. When they got to the room, they were amazed. Before them, lying on a bed surrounded by a glass sphere, was what must be the woman Barragan had spoken of only minutes before.

"Shiori, Okaasan of Hollows and Shinigami, Goddess and first Queen of Hueco Mundo... I, Barragan, former King of Hueco Mundo, I call upon your return. Come back among us and slay all who dare to take the rightful throne to us," said the ex-king, who with one shot of his weapon destroyed the dome that kept them separate from the Queen. As she did so, almost as if it were a signal, Shiori's closed eyes opened and glared at the Espada. They were shocked. The red eyes in front of them looked at them as if to examine their soul. Then they closed for a moment as the woman's body rose. From what they could see, the queen looked like a woman in the prime of her beauty. She possessed such a beautiful body that it outshone even the women of the human world. Her long, straight white hair fell from her back, while her eyes gave the impression of being in front of a fearful monster.

Shiori looked around and saw that there was her deliverer and other people with him. From what he could tell, his old subjects were either missing or deceased. He later decided to save this for another moment. Now he just wanted to try to understand what happened during these thousand years of rest ... and maybe find some clothes. In fact, she noticed that she had white bandages covering her breasts and private parts underneath, otherwise she was naked.

"Barragan, I hope you have a good reason for waking me up. I don't want to hear about thrones or anything anymore, not after the events of a thousand years ago," he said as he thought about that day. The day her children betrayed her for the second time.

"Yes, there is indeed. A certain Shinigami wants to take control of our territory and use us as a means to carry out his plan." Barragan was certain she would be pissed to death about this. No Shinigami was allowed to take control of Hueco Mundo.
Of course, just as expected, the Queen showed some anger on her still half-sleepy face.

"So this Shinigami wants to use my land for his own purposes? In that case, he can't reach this place. Barragan, come with me. You will explain in detail what happened while I'm looking for some clothes. Everyone else please leave the room and look for other Hollows ready to follow my every order. One wrong word from you and you will lose your life right now," Shiori said as she released a part of her spirit energy. Though low, it was loud enough to let those present know that every word they heard was not to be taken lightly.

While those present decided to remove themselves in order not to risk problems, the two headed towards one of Aizen's rooms so that they could talk. Shiori was intent on finding out anything about her rival.
Barragan explained how this Shinigami, with the help of the two accomplices, had managed to make him lose his authority and the throne he held. He then explained that the Shinigami had managed to fool the Gotei 13 and that the latter had become rather lax. Shiori didn't believe him for a moment. He knew the strength of the Gotei well and it was certainly not easy to outwit his captains. After dressing, she asked what the three captains were called, and Barragan gave their names. The queen did not know these names. He decided that over the next few days he would gather as much information as possible about the current Gotei 13 and also about her current captains. The fact that there were three new members led her to believe that the original members were all but dead. In any case, he would have a little chat with these traitors once he regained enough strength and energy to be able to fight against them without problems.
