All of today was great for Ukitake. Not once at all today has he felt dizzy or even lightheaded from the long work day that was too come. Though, he was a bit nervous for two reason. One, it was way too quiet for a work day. Second, you were keeping quiet.

Ukitake looked around himself, wondering if he should do something to lighten up today. "Maybe Shunsui will have something planned for me to counter (y/n)'s prank war."

That's right, Ukitake was in a prank war with you. Of course you started it first and Ukitake joined in for the fun, now it was down to be heated between you both. In a rush, Ukitake took some sweets in case of an emergency.

The way to Shunsui's office was a five minute walk, so he better get moving. All was going well until you appeared with a big smile on your face, making Ukitake jump and panic a little. "(y/n)! What a surprise! W-What are you doing here?"

"I can't say hello to my captain/prank rival? That would be a shame indeed."

"Haha," Ukitake laughed to go along, "that's so funny! Whelp, I must meet up with Shunsui for our afternoon talk, so if you will excuse me I must be going."

You bowed with the same smile and walked past him, not doing anything funny or prank related. He blinked at your back, wondering if you were getting tired of your own game. Five minutes later Ukitake arrived at Shunsui, but always knocking on the door first. "Can I come in?"

Shunsui smiled and set his sake bottle down. "Why do you keep doing that? You know you're always welcomed in my office."

"I know, but it's always a good thing to keep manners to other people."

Shunsui smiled and pulled up a seat. "Looks like you have something on your mind. Care to tell what it is?"

Ukitake was always grateful for Shunsui, he could tell when something was bothering him and he didn't have to say it out loud. He took a deep breath and looked out the window. "It's about (y/n). Today we passed by each other, had a quick talk, but she didn't do anything behind my back. I'm starting to wonder if she's getting tired of our old game of pranking each other."

Shunsui filled up his cup with sake and gave it too Ukitake. "Who knows? I still haven't lose my thing for woman, but I don't chase them around anymore like I use to when I was younger. Maybe that's what's going on with (y/n). She's growing up and knowing that this prank war is getting old."

A smile came upon Ukitake's lips. "That nice to hear. Although, it is rather cute when (y/n) does try to prank me. The way her face lightens up, the giggles she let out, all those are worth it when she does prank me."

A squeak came from behind Ukitake's chair as he turned around to see you behind it, holding a cup of ice cold water. That was his number one weakness when it came to him easily getting colds. You hid it behind you, but the blush on your face was something you couldn't hide. "I-I wasn't doing anything!"

Just then, Ukitake grabbed the cup Shunsui gave him and pored it over your head, making you smell like sake. Ukitake grinned and laughed as you blinked, confused. He had just out pranked you... with your own prank.

"What the-"

"Like that?" Ukitake said, smiling from ear to ear. "I knew you were planning something with that smile of yours, and Shunsui told me you were going to be in his office, so Shunsui was somewhat both of an agent of secret pranks."

You glared at Shusnui, but you covered your cheeks to hide the blush. "T-This isn't over! Just wait until tomorrow!"

When you left Shunsui chuckled and took a drink of his sake. "Looks like she's one heck of a blusher."

Ukitake smiled and leaned back in his chair. "See, what's what I mean when she's cute when we prank each other."
