Chad

The need to get stronger was always in your mind. More like a constant need more than anything. You weren't bulled when you were younger or been emotional hurt, but it was in your blood to be a strong women. Your father was from a strong tribe of warriors, some men and some women who were as strong as the men.

You on the other hand... weren't so lucky to get the trait passed on. Small arms, but strong leg muscles were what you had. The rumors of a Mexican boy who was the strongest came into your ears.

"Maybe he can help train me... who knows, it could be a shot."

You stood at the front gates of the school, waiting and looking through the crowd of students as they entered into their morning classes. He wasn't that hard to spot once you saw him, all tall and fair dark tanned.

Once he was close to the gates you quickly stopped him in his tracks. "Can I speak with you?"

The eye which didn't have his hair covered with it gave you a confused stare. "I guess. What do you need?"

"I want you to train me. Rumors have it you're the strongest boy in this whole school, so it has to be you who trains me!"

"Train you for what?"

"Nothing, but I just want to get stronger. Think you can do that?"

"Sure. When do you want to start?"

"After school and where you want to train at?"

"I have the spot, meet you after school." He said before walking with the crowds again.

Today was the day you would show your dad he was wrong all along, you would get stronger than him. That was the truth.... to get stronger than you father. You thought of the memory while changing into training clothes...

"(y/n), you maybe be my wonderful daughter, but I will not take pride in you because of your lack of strength, but something else deep inside you that both your mother and I have."

Tears formed into your eyes, "But papa... I swear I'll get as strong as you!"

The dad you knew shook his head with a smile. "That's not what I mean, sweetheart. You'll see and feel it once the time comes for your coming of age...

"Are you ready?" Chad's deep voice snapped you out of your memories.

Silence dragged on before you nodded your head. "Yeah. Don't hold back anything!"

It was a boxing ring in the gym Chad went to as you were doing boxing. People snickered at the tiny size you were compared to Chad, the giant of strength and heart, one of the members here said.

Then you were going to break that title. Chad swung out his fist first, but since you were small you were quicker than him and punched him in the gut. The amount of pain from just punching him in one spot was enough to make you scream in pain, but you bit back the force to not scream.

Chad quickly took the time to headlock you. His guy's strength was off the roof! Using all the energy you had left you arched your back and let your foot swing back and have your heel dig into his face.

The giant yelped in pain and let you go, giving you the time to stand back up and uppercut his jaw- well... more like scream in pain yourself while Chad just rubbed at the tiny bruise you gave him.

Tiny tears threaten to spill at the edges of your eyes while you cupped your hurt hand. "What the Hell?! Are you a rock or something?"

"No." He stood up, his shadow towering over you. "I'm just made of muscles. I work out almost every day."

You sighed and whispered under your breath. "I'll never become as strong as my father..."

Chad surprisingly heard you. "Why are you so focused on that? Getting stronger means nothing, it's the heart that gets stronger. The more you learn about true strength from the heart the more powerful you will be."

Your eyes shined with... pride... for this man. "Wow... I didn't even think about that... thanks Chad."

The kind giant gave you a kind smile. "Not a problem. If you would like I will give you free lesson on boxing."

"That would be great! See ya tomorrow!"

After all this time you finally learned what you papa had told you. It's not strength from the body that makes people strong, It's the will of the heart to get stronger, and ever since that day your heart beats twice when you see Chad at your lesson now.
