So, both of us saw what some of you posted on who should watch this episode, and we have this to say... We have no idea how they should join... I mean I might, but still...

Kaizoku: You don't know if it'll work?

The only think I can think of is him on probation leave...

Kaizoku: ... And slamming the door open?

I'd go with kicking it open...

Kaizoku: That's still slamming the door open, but okay, sure.

I thought those were two different things?

Kaizoku: It all ends the same, really...

Kaizoku: Right... How about Mizuiro?

Kaizoku: Okay, so please welcome Mizuiro!

Mizuiro: (Walks in with a smile and waves at the readers) "Hello, thank you for having me here."

Kaizoku: No problem.

Mizuiro: "So I'm doing the disclaimer."

Kaizoku: Indeed, you are.

Mizuiro: (Nods) "Okay the. Light He'arth/Xarazechi and Kaizokuoniiorewanaru do not own Bleach, Death Battle, or the two combatants. They only have the plot ideas and their own OCs to them. Is that okay?"

Kaizoku: Perfect.

Indeed.

Mizuiro: "Thank you."

Kaizoku: Now let's get started.

Yes, onto the chapter.

Chapter 11: Battle of Heaven and Hell: Kratos VS Spawn

Isshin was about to start the final episode of the day, when the front door bust open.

"Rukia, you in here!?" came a crazed voice that Ichigo, Rukia and the friends that went to the Soul Society knew.

"Kenny, did you really need to kick the door down?" a small girl's voice asked.

"Oh no..." Ichigo let out in dread.

"W-What is he doing here?" Rukia asked in dread as well.

"You guys know who that is?" Yuzu asked.

Just then, a guy with spiky hair, an eye patch, and wearing leather biker gear, walked into the living room. On the man shoulder was a kid who had pink hair and had pink and black kid punk clothing.

"There you are," the man stated. "Had a hard time finding you."

"Yeah, Cousin Rukia~!" the girl cheered.

Rukia understood that his cover was her uncle, and that filled her with dread. "U-Uncle... Kenpachi...!" Rukia gasped.

"WAIT, THIS MONSTER'S YOUR UNCLE!?" Ichigo shouted in shock.

"No, shut up, that's his cover!" Rukia muttered to Ichigo through her teeth.

Ichigo released the cover up. He whispered back, "Got it, but go along." He then spoke out loud, in a growl, "Your uncle nearly hit me today when I was on my way to school..."

Kenpachi shrugged. "Eh, didn't care, was looking for my temporary living abode."

"Kenny's on temporary probation from work dude to him doing something stupid," the girl stated.

"... And you are...?" Keigo asked, scared of the giant of a man.

"I'm Kenny's adopted daughter, I'm Yachiru Kusajishi~!" she introduced. "I go anywhere Kenny goes~!"

"Uh-huh..." Keigo huffed.

She gave an angry pout at him. "You don't believe me!?"

"Ah, no, no, I do! I do!" Keigo raised his hands in defense.

"Well, like the kid said, I'm on probationary leave for the next few weeks and was sent here to watch over my niece," Kenpachi stated. "Had a hard time finding her, when I remember she made friends here, so I came to see if she was here."

Rukia slowly and shakingly raises her hand.

"What's up Rukky~? Something the matter~?" Yachiru asked her.

"It's just that Uncle Kenpachi's... intimidating as ever..." Rukia nervously giggled.

"Well we are the black sheeps of the family~!" Yachiru stated.

"And damn proud of it," Kenpachi stated.

"S... So I've noticed... plenty of times..." Rukia chuckled nervously.

Kenpachi then sees the videos. "Huh? What's this?" He picks it up and reads the title. "Death Battle?"

"Er, y-yes." Rukia nodded.

"Is it good?" he asked, sounding interested.

"So far, yes. We haven't seen any of the other episodes. We were just about to watch the next one, Kratos Vs. Spawn." Rukia stated.

"Mind if we join in watching?" he asked them.

"Yeah~ Movie night~!" Yachiru cheered.

"T-That won't be a problem! R-Right, Ichigo?" Rukia asked Ichigo.

"Don't ask me, ask him, he's my father!" Ichigo shouted, pointing to Isshin.

"My son, how could you!?" Isshin exclaimed.

"Because you're in charge of the house and you say who can visit or not," he shot back, not wanting to be the one to deal with Kenpachi.

"Ah... O-Okay, you can watch with us. It's the last episode for today, anyway..." Isshin sighed.

Kenpachi smiled wildly. "Thanks, I want to see if this is good, and I want to see the other fights."

"Me too~!" Yachiru cheered in agreement.

"W-We do have portable disk players you can borrow that you can watch them at home," Yuzu stated, holding one out for the two. Yachiru took it happily.

Keigo pulled Ichigo's arm, whispering in the organette's ear, "Are you sure this is a good idea...?"

"Believe me. The last thing you wanna do is either fight him or get on his bad side..." Ichigo whispered back.

"... Do we dare ask how you know that...?" Keigo asked for the ones that don't know.

"You shouldn't." Ichigo deadpanned.

"Right..." Keigo stated, sweatdropping.

Ichigo nodded.

"C-Can we get to the episode now?" Midori asked, still a bit scared of Kenpachi.

"Right." Ichigo nodded with a sigh before starting the episode.

Kenpachi took a seat on the couch, Yachiru sitting on his shoulder. They other sitting far from him.

(Cues: Invader - Jim Johnston)

"Of all the warriors who have entered this arena, none can compete with these two titans of death," Wiz started. "Kratos, the Ghost of Sparta who single-handedly annihilated Olympus."

"And Spawn, who managed to dethrone both Satan and God," Boomstick introduced.

"Olympus? Ain't that from Greek or something?" Chad guessed.

"I think so," Ichigo stated.

"Hey, wait a minute, wasn't Kratos mentioned in Winder Woman VS. Rough's fight?" Keigo asked.

"Oh yeah! Now that you mention it..." Tatsuki remembered.

"So were seeing this Kratos sooner then we though," Yuzu stated.

"Is no one going to respond to Spawn's introduction...?" Uryu asked.

"Well, I mean..." Keigo hummed, scratching his head.

"Do you want to go down that rabbit hole or wait until they explain?" Mizuiro asked him.

"... Good point..."

"I'm Wizard and he's Boomstick, and it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win... a Death Battle," Wiz introduced.

The door closed and then opened, showing the first fighter was shown.

KRATOS

(Cue: Brothers of Blood by Cris Velasco)

"Kratos is a demigod, raised among the Spartans as their greatest warrior, until one day, his people were threatened to be overrun." Wiz explained Kratos' back story "It was then he struck a deal with Ares, the God of War. Ares would give him the strength to protect his people; in return, Kratos would serve as Ares' champion warrior."

"Oh boy, I wonder if this would backfire on him." Karin rolled her eyes with a sarcastic tone of voice. She's seen too many shows with deals with practical devils in them.

"Oh... how can you tell...?" Tatsuki asked, the same sarcastic tone as Karin.

"Your sarcasm isn't lost on us..." Chizuru stated.

"Kratos became super-powerful and really vicious, but was tricked by Ares into killing his own family," Boomstick stated. "But hey, he saved some money on child support and divorce!"

Almost everyone wasn't happy at the comment Boomstick made.

"As the white, hot ashes of his family clung permanently to his skin-"

"Just like Michael Jackson!" Boomstick intervened.

"Shut up, Boomstick!" Karin spat.

Ichigo groaned, facepalming. "Why is this guy like this...?"

"Is that his thing?" Kenpachi asked.

"It is..." He answered in a groan.

Wiz ignored him and continued. "-his quest for vengeance against the gods of Olympus began."

Kenpachi had a predatory smile on his face. "That's interesting..."

The group soon sees Krato's primary weapon which is very unique by its design. It was a pair of large serrated hook swords with glowing orange energy in its blades and has handles with demon-like heads serving as guards and are bounded by chains.

"Kratos wields the Blades of Exile, twin short swords bound to his arms by chains. The blades have a hook design that Kratos can use to cut right through his enemies, or snag them and whip 'em around. And like most badass weapons they can somehow emit fire." Boomstick explained Kratos's primary weapon.

"Those weapons are amazing~!" Yachiru said in awe.

"I wouldn't mind using those to fight~" Kenpachi said, smiling wickedly.

"... I'm scared..." Chizuru said, scared.

"Welcome to the club..." Ichigo said, flatly.

"Kratos is well trained in sword combat and possesses what may be the most powerful sword the Greek gods have to offer - the Blade of Olympus," Wiz explained, the giant sword shown with blue divine energy.

"After Kratos killed Ares, Uhhh, spoiler!" Boomstick realized.

The group looked a bit satisfied that Kratos killed Ares.

"He was made the God of War. But Zeus tricked him into putting all of his godly powers into his sword, making him mortal once again." Boomstick continued.

"And making the Blade of Olympus a deadly harbinger of death to even the toughest Olympians." Wiz added.

"I feel sorry for any of the Greek gods getting hit by that." Keigo sighed.

"If they do, they deserved it," Ichigo stated.

"Wow... That's cold," Chizuru said, disturbed by Ichigo's answer.

"I want to fight him with that thing," Kenpachi said, smiling bloodthirstily.

Yuzu gulped in fear.

Tatsuki nodded in agreement.

Uryu adjusted his glasses in interest.

Ichigo whispered to Quincy," Guessing you're going to try that as well?"

"Yes, I want to see if a charged arrow can do something," Uryu whispered back.

Yuzu again felt a connection to a weapon, like when Leo did with duel wielding. Karin did as well, but it felt a little off for her, like it should be another weapon. She didn't want to admit it, but Donatello's staff was the same as the bow.

"The Boots of Hermes give him superhuman speed," Wiz informed, "and when battling the infamous Icarus, he ripped those huge wings off the old fool's back and took them for his own, giving him powers of flight."

'Super speed and flight, huh? Sounds like a typical Soul Reaper's arsenal...' Rukia hummed in thought.

"Those Boots would fit you, Keigo," Tatsuki fired at him, making him grumbled, annoyed.

"Holy crap, that's a lot of weapons!" Boomstick stated. "I like this guy!"

"Kratos is not invincible, but he is very difficult to kill," Wiz informed.

'As is almost every Captain of the Soul Society.' Rukia thought.

"Hell, he can't even kill himself!" Boomstick added, showing Kratos trying to kill himself with the Blade of Olympus.

"Damn, what is that guy made out of?" Tatsuki asked

"No idea," Isshin answered.

"In his rage, he tore apart the ranks of Mount Olympus and slaughtered every god upon and below it... except for Aphrodite," Wiz explained, before grudgingly adding that last part.

"For obvious reasons!" Boomstick added, sounding exsided, and them showing the Greek Goddess... who was almost nude.

The group blushed while Isshin covered Yuzu and Karin's eyes. Tatsuki covered Midori's eyes as well, sense Isshin was coving his daughters. Both Keigo and Chizuru were drooling, nose bleeds running down their faces. Kenpachi covered Yachiru's eyes, but was otherwise uninterested.

Wiz got back on topic. "In doing so, he ultimately brought about the end of the world. Without the power of the gods to keep the chaos in check, the apocalypse had arrived, and its vanguard was Kratos."

They were then shown the battle between Kratos and Ares. "I was trying to make you a great warrior..."

"You succeeded," was Kratos only reply before impales Ares with the Blade of Olympus.

"Well... That was something..." Mizuiro stated, his smile strained a bit.

"Yeah..." Ichigo nodded.

"What will the next one show us...?" Midori asked.

"We're about to find out," Karin stated.

(Cue Opening Sequence by Yuki Iwai, Takayuki Iwai, Isao Abe)

"Al Simmons was trained to be a deadly, stealthy soldier and assassin, and proved numerous times he was the best of the best," Wiz explained showing the next combatant. "But when his morality got the better of him, his boss terminated his contract... permanently."

They all saw him being burned alive, horrifying most of them.

"That's when Simmons met Malebolgia, one of the Demon Lords of Hell, who struck a deal with him: He'd get to see his wife again if he became captain of Hell's armies. He agreed and was reborn as a Hellspawn." Boomstick continued.

"I know what's going to happen next." Karin spoke up, knowing that making deals with evil deities is always a bad decision.

"I think we all figured that out Karin..." Ichigo stated in a deadpan.

"But as with most demons, it tricked him, leaving Spawn with a fate worse than death. And of course, Spawn swore revenge!" Boomstick finished.

Now they feel sorry for Spawn as well as Kratos, living a life serving in Hell and rebelling against the one that tricked him of stealing his family away is really sad. Guess they now know that there are some combatants that have tragic backstories. Now time to see what Spawn is capable of.

"In other words, he feeds off the evil sins of people to quickly heal himself." Ichigo pondered.

"Sounds like this will be useful in the battle," Rukia stated.

"I think so as well," Karin agreed, seeing how that power would work in helping Spawn.

"He wears a living parasitic-symbiotic suit named Leetha of the 7th House of K," Wiz said, as the show showed them Leetha forming over Spawn.

"That thing is both cool and horrifying..." Chizuru stated.

"Agreed," Tatsuki said.

"Leetha has ridiculous powers. Basically, anything she or Spawn wants to happen can happen. The suit can create and control chains, claws, spikes, and morph itself into pretty much anything Spawn wants, like a badass cape that can drag enemies and protect Spawn from all sorts of danger." Boomstick listed Leetha's powers.

"That's a lot of abilities." Orihime commented in awe.

"I'll say," Rukia stated, surprised.

"Still terrifying..." Midori stated.

"The suit has a mind of its own, and can operate while Spawn focuses on other parts of the battle" Wiz explained. "It is strong enough to easily smash through brick, and fast enough to block bullets. However, Leetha feeds off necroplasm energy when using the suit's powers, a hellish matter which Spawn is entirely composed of. If Leetha uses too much, Spawn will be sent back to Hell. However, like Spawn, Leetha can also feed off the evil and sin of others."

"Powerful and dangerous..." Rukia hummed.

"My type of challenge!" Kenpachi stated, smiling widely, making Yuzu and Midori nervious.

Ichigo leaned to Ruika and asked. "If this necroplasm energy is like reishi, do you think if we fought him, he'd just absorb our energy?"

"Not sure to be honest..."

"Spawn's also got tons of magic powers," Boomstick informed.

"And he can control the elements, often using fire and water to defeat swarms of enemies," Wiz added the last part.

Most people's jaws dropped hearing all this.

"That is an insane amount of magic...!" Tatsuki gasped.

"Insane nothing, that is ludicrous!" Keigo shouted, freaking out.

"I have to agree with Keigo," Mizuiro stated, his smile strained.

'He'd be a captain in the Soul Society...' Rukia stated. 'If he wasn't sent to hell for what he did...'

"What else can he do...?" Karin asked, not knowing if she wanted to know.

"However, even with all these godlike abilities, Spawn usually resorts to his most primitive weapon," Wiz continued. "As he was trained in Special Forces for so long, Spawn is most comfortable using a gun."

"Only two things can break through Spawn's defenses and hurt him: Necro-magic and holy weapons forged in Heaven," Boomsick explained. "In addition, he can only die if he's beheaded."

"Well there's the downside of being a Hellspawn." Keigo said.

"Which means Spawn will have to be extra careful if his opponent tries to decapitate him." Rukia stated, Ichigo relieved that there actually ARE weaknesses.

"Spawn killed all sorts of powerful enemies - assassins, cyborgs, vampires, ghost, Angels, Demons, other Hellspawn, rampaging deities, even Satan and God. Yes, that old lady is THE God." Wiz told, showing the old lady in question.

The group was stunned that an old lady is God, if one were to look closely, they could see the disguise fading.

"... Well that's one way to hide in public," Ichigo muttered in surprise.

"I did not see that coming," Midori stated, shocked.

"Really? God looks like my nanna... am I a demigod?" Boomstick asked in deep thought.

"Probably not." Tatsuki answered.

"And after being granted unlimited power from the Mother of All Things, Spawn banished God and Satan from the Earth, which he wiped clean and rebuilt in his own image. He then willingly sacrificed his own God powers and eventually returned to his Hellspawn form." Wiz stated.

"Guess he really wanted to keep the world safe in his own way." Chad said.

"That or he felt like he still need time to repent, that and feel like all that power would corrupt him if he kept it," Uryu interjected.

"Oh, why the hell would he do that?" Boomstick asked sounding annoyed. "He must've been really bored!"

Ichigo ad a flat look on his face at Boomstick's comment. "Some of us don't want power you moron..."

"You do know he can't hear you right...?" Karin asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Won't mean I won't call him out on it."

The next scene shows Spawn blows up a wall, his body in shadows while holding to automatic guns. "Knock, knock!" was al he said.

"Okay, that was badass," Isshan said, pointing to the TV.

"Scary, but he's still awesome," Keigo stated, having his hand on his chin and nodding.

"I want to fight him," Kenpachii stated with a manic smile.

"Alright, the combatants are set," Wiz stated. "Let's end this debate once and for all."

"But first, let's take a break from JackThreads," Boomstick announced. "Over to you Boomstick."

"Okay, so who votes for who?" Ichigo asked. "I'm placing my money on Spawn."

"I think Kratos has this," Karin said. "But it's a hard pick."

"I'm going with Ichigo, Spawn has more abilities over Kratos," Yuzu said.

"I say Spawn, for one reason that might show in the fight," Isshan stated.

"We pick Spawn," both Keigo and Chizuru only said. "He seems cooler."

"I'll go with Spawn," Mizuiro said, thinking it over.

"I think I'll have to go with Kratos," Midori said. "Honestly I think this might be a coin flip."

"I have to go with Spawn," Uryu said. "Something tells me he has this."

"I think I'll have to go with Spawn as well," Orihime agreed with her friends.

"Spawn," was all Chad said.

"It's a close call, but I'm going with Spawn as well," Rukia said.

"I'm going with Spawnny~!" Yachiru cheered. "He's like Kenny~!" She then turned thoughtful. "Well both are like him..."

Kenpachi just shrugged. "I don't really care; I just want to see them fight."

With all the choices picked, they went back to watching the show. The ad just finishing.

"-but right now, it's time for a DEATH BATTLE!" Boomstick shouted.

The door closed and opened for the fight to start.

(Cue: Colossus of Rhodes by Gerard Marino)

The group sees an ancient underground palace and sees Kratos marching up the steps when suddenly Spawn teleported behind him and Kratos whips out the Blades of Exile.

Time to see which Anti-Hero reigns supreme.

FIGHT!

(Cue: God of War 3 - Poseidon's Wrath)

Kratos lashes out his blades at Spawn, but Leetha protects him by morphing into chains to block the attacks for a moment. Eventually, Spawn pulls out a large machine gun and fires at Kratos, who used his blades to block the oncoming bullets, he quickly disarmed Spawn and goes for another swipe attack, but Spawn teleport behind him and starts attacking. Kratos managed to block all of it before successfully stabbing Spawn and dragged him forward to be kicked back.

"So far so good." Midori said.

"That's only a warm-up for these two." Rukia replied back.

"Warm up?" Kenpachi asked. "They're not even doing that."

"Yeah, Kenii is right~!" Yachiru cheered.

Spawn lands safely at the foot of the stairs. He then went into the other room, barely dodging a leaping attack by Kratos. Kratos, not wanting to let him get away, follows Spawn into the next room, but he doesn't see his opponent anywhere when he gets in.

"What the-!? Where'd he going!?" Keigo shouted in shock. "He couldn't have gotten away that quickly."

"Must be invisibility..." Uryu pushed his glasses up.

"It did say Spawn could do that, right?" Yuzu asked getting a nod from the others.

Kratos looked around, trying to find the hell spawn. He should have looked up.

(Cue: Smelter (Admonisher Stage) by Yuki Iwai, Takayuki Iwai, Isao Abe)

Spawn lowers his invisibility and leaps from the wall he was hanging on. He then proceeds to kick at Kratos to get him off gaurd. Spawn then punches Kratos, sending him airborne, then uses his teleportation and speed to deliver more blows to get Kratos flying and using him as a pinball around the area.

Kratos lands safely to a flight of stairs in which Spawn teleported and fires a necroplasm projectile, which Kratos deflected it back at Spawn with his Golden Fleece and stabbed Spawn again and used the Nemean Cestus to punch the Hellspawn to a large gap on the other side of the area.

"It's getting intense...!" Orihime exclaimed excitedly.

Spawn flew over that gap with his cape, while laughing evilly as he sends more necroplasm projectiles at Kratos, but Kratos was still using the Golden Fleece to deflect them before using the Icarus Wings and tackles Spawn further before crashing on to a ledge and the Hellspawn still floating. "You're pissing me off...!" Spawn growled.

"I think they're both pissing each other off," Tatsuki stated, very focused on the fight.

"It could go either way," Uryu stated.

"I agree," Kenpachii said, smiling widely.

But before Spawn can attack, Kratos grabs him with the Blades and forced them both to fall into the pit.

(Cue: Minotaur Boss Battle by Cris Velasco)

The two land safely at the bottom of the pit. Kratos luickly pulling out the Bow of Apollo and shooting arrows at Spawn. Spawn was behind the defense of his cape, the arrows just bouncing off. Kratos seeing that this wasn't working, finally charging up the next arrow with fire. Spawn used this to his advantage and uses his elemental control to make the flame engulf Kratos. Kratous screamed in pain being engulfed in his own attack. Spawn then launches a necroplasm grenade in the fire, detonating in bursts of smoke.

"Kratos can survive that easily." Ichigo said.

"And they're already down to the wire." Karin replied with hints of anticipation.

Cue: God of War 3 - Overture

However, Kratos survives and leaps out of the flames with the Blade of Olympus in hand and nearly struck the teleporting Spawn, he then unleashed Leetha's chains at Kratos, but he easily cut them down before stabbing Spawn dead center at the chest and he stayed still for a moment.

Everyone looked on as if the fight's over, but they were quickly surprised on what happens next.

Spawn quickly teleported behind Kratos and grabbed his head before feeding off all of the Spartan's evil energy before delivering the final blow.

"DIE!" Spawn yelled before creating a large spike from his hand impaling through Kratos's head, ending the Ghost of Spartan's life.

K.O.!

"What!? But I thought Kratos had him?" Keigo asked, shocked.

"It was Kratos's sins, that's what decided the match," Rukia stated, eyes widening.

"That wasn't the only thing, but I believe they are also willing to explain." Uryu pushed up his glasses.

"Aaahhhh, man - here comes the rage from the God of War fanboys!" Boomstick dreaded.

"Wow I'd never knew there are fans from video games too." Orihime said in curiosity.

"Kratos is a very difficult one to beat, but Spawn's magical prowess and near-indestructible body proved too much for him." Wiz explained the durability difference.

Rukia nodded knowing Spawn is way more durable than Kratos with his abilities backing him up.

"Yeah, normally, that last attack would've meant the end for his opponent, but not Spawn!" Boomstick declared.

"And while much of Kratos's arsenal was forged by Olympians, Olympus is composed of Earthly elements, and is not another plane of existence like Heaven, so it stands to reason none of the Olympian weapons would kill Spawn." Wiz stated.

"Except the Blade of Olympus, but it wasn't enough." Boomstick said.

"And that was what I was referring to. None of Kratos's weapons, except the Blade of Olympus, could kill Spawn." Uryu explained. "In addition, they also stated that Spawn could only be killed via decapitation."

"Guess Kratos should have gone for the head then," Keigo stated, shrugging.

"It was still an awesome match!" Yachiru cheered still sitting on Kenpachi's shoulder.

"Plus, Spawn and his suit had plenty of evil energy to feed on during the fight, since Kratos is literally covered in his past sins," Wiz explained.

"Guess that was also the biggest factor, making sure he could at his fullest," Ichigo said.

"Well, that was one Hell of a fight!" Boomstick punned, making half groan and half laugh at it.

"The winner is Spawn," Wiz declared, Spawn's picture showing up.

Everyone except Kenpachi claps for Spawn's victory and Kratos's attempt.

"Next time on Death Battle!" Boomstick began the preview.

SLAYER OF DRAGONS

Ichigo and his friends see a man in what looked like a mining suit fighting walking tomatoes with goggles and fire breathing dragons on one side.

EXPLOSION EXTRAORDINAIRE

On the other side they are a white and blue man throwing bombs at anything in his path and facing all sorts of enemies.
"... Okay, not what I was expecting when I saw the description of these two..." Keigo stated. "But I'll wait and see what these guys have."

"Tomorrow," Ichigo stated. "It's late."

"Yeah..." Karin yawned.

"Aw, but we only watched five episodes," Keigo stated.

"Ten if you counted the ones we were shown today," Chizuru reminded.

"Tough, we can watch more tomorrow if nothing happens," Ichigo stated.

With that, the others stretch and yawn before they start leaving the room.
