"Ruby Fx 147 come here" ordered Zanzel diamond

"Yes,my diamond?" Ruby Blazion asked, he was concerned because rubies aren't called by the diamonds themselves.

"You are required to be one of Enma diamond's Sapphire bodyguards. Three previous guards have been shattered due to lack of expected services. As well of how rare sapphires are,they need to be protected at all costs,even if it means you get shattered doing so!" His voice booming,justifying the importance of this task.

Sapphires are future seeing yo-gems,they are used to tell their diamonds, the fates to come to their diamonds themselves, or the fates of other yo-gems. They are highly valued in their diamond's hands. So being able to guardone is a rare oppunity to come by.

"As you wish,my diamond" I bowed, secretly holding in my excitement for the assignment.

"Good. Sapphire Fx-284 will be in section B-15,she'll be awaiting your arrival" he informed me, as he rambled on about the importance of Sapphires again.

I arrives at section B-15,searching for the sapphire that I would be guarding, if I do a good job I would be guarding, if I do a good job I would be promoted to be Emma's Ruby guard. I wondered if she like me.

Rubies like myself are used in many types of missions, such as scouting planets for possible colonies,or tracking down and shattering gems that fail their superiors. Though, due to our height and stature, we rubies die easily in battle that crack our gems. So if I become a ruby guard for Enma then, I would be a highly respected ruby of them all.

I was so deep in thought,that I bumped into another yo-gems. "Hey! Watch where you're going-" I yelled at the gem,but then stop as I saw who I was yelling at.

It was the Sapphire that was meant to met me here. She was a Frostina, a quite cute one. She looks as if a porait has come to life and is now alive. Her eyes were concealed by her puffy light blue bangs, her hair was in curls in the back. I marveled at her dress, the shoulders were puffy like her hair,but much smaller, the dress was a shade of royal blue,in the middle was Enma symbol. Her hands were in crisp white gloves, in the left was her gem, a sapphire in the shape of snowflake.

"Oops,sorry" I quickly apologized, hoping that no high authority gems noticed

"It is fine, it is what fate unfolded for me" she spoke, as she brushed off the light coat ofndust on her dress.

I did not understand what she meant, but she was too adorable that I did not really care. To think a ruby like me is to guard a rare aristocratic gem like her. I then immediately realize my disrespect, I had to introduce myself, she must now think that I'm a defective.

"My apologizes, it was very disrespectful to have kept you waiting. Please forgive me" I kneeled down, hoping that she may have mercy on me, and not sent me to be shattered.

"Blazion,it is alright. It is not your fault. I was running late as I was doing orders for my diamond. I should be the one who should be apologizing" her voice was like a songbird chirping it's sweet melody.

"I-it's fine" I mentally kicked myself for stuttering in front of her, not the way to start an assignment

"I am Frostina, Sapphire Fx-284.It is a pleasure to meet you" she crusties

"I'm Blazion,Ruby Fx-147,but you already knew that" I joked, trying to ease the awkwardness from before.

She didn't giggle or laugh at my jokes, but she seemed to be more relaxed then before. I guessed she needed a bit of cheering up,her job must be extremely stressful,having to predict the future.

"May I see your gem?" She startled me, to ask a question like that is a personal matter to me.

I wanted to refuse,gems are the objects of our entire existence, if cracked then we begin to deform. Shattering a gem is the same as erasing a name from a list, the gem dies and no longer exists. The reason I do not like to show my gem is the fear of it getting shattered, like a glass vase dropping and busting into a thousand pieces.

"If you do not wish to show me, then it is alright, I am sorry to have ask-" I cut her off, I placed my right palm in her hands,revealing my flame shaped ruby.

"I know it is noting special,but it is my gem, the for that gives me my energy, every single day. So if you wish to laugh, you may" I looked down, waiting for the laughter to come but it didn't.

"Why would I laugh, when my gem is much like yours. I am truly jealous of you, Sapphires can't fight on their own, so multiple gems sacrifice their lives just to protect a sapphire. For I am disgusted with myself,I'm just a defect, that has a power hold dear by her diamond" her voice was filled with such hatred and sorrow, her fingers trances over my gem, feeling the smooth surface of it.

She sound like she has witness a multiple of shatters, I can only guess how she may be feeling. Having to lose a gem guard,and having them replaced as it was no big deal.

"How many?" I asked looking down,avoiding eye contact

"Fifteen gems, shattered just to protect a useless sapphire" she answered, using her powers of future vision to predict that question before I asked.

"Were you afraid?" I looked at her with eyes filled with a river of concern,bracing for her answer.

"No. I we what fate awaits me, I believe that by following the Sky of Fate, I will be saved" she released my palm, standing like a princess before me.

"You are not a defect,you're really beautiful. I really don't understand anything about " fate" talk,but you are important to everyone. So as your Ruby guard " I bowed and kissed her hand. " I will protect you, till the day I am shattered" I spoke as serious as possible

"I know" she spoke and began to walk to her cha!bars. "Come, I have to meet with my diamond. I would like you to accompany me as I go to speak with him" she held out her hand, awaiting me to join the tight embrace.

My hand shook slightly as I took her hand, concealed in a polished white glove.

Her hand fitted perfectly with mine. As if we were meant for each other. I blushed, to myself knowing she knew this already.

"Blazion,I see you and me together as far as the horizon strenches" she smiled. A beautiful sparkling white smile.

Both our gems glowed at that moment,our bodies merge into one single being. One of both fire and ice, one who can predict the future and be open to more options. A fusion of love. Flame Froze Garnet.
