Blazion was a bit nervous today. For today was Flare's first ever play date with Colderman, the son of his friend Swelterrier. He was uneasy about Flare having a play date with a boy. He did not want his precious little girl to be taken away by some boy.

"Daddy... Do, I have to go?" Flare asked timidly, hiding her face in her cloak

He looked into his daughter's snowflake blue print eyes with his fiery red ones. Her face filled with fear,nervousness, and like her mother, pure shyness. He chuckled to himself,thinking about how Frostina was like that once. He went down to her level and picked her up, then pecked a kiss on her head.

"Hey now, you'll be fine. Would daddy sent you to a dangerous place?" He asked,looking start into her eyes

Flare shook her head. She knew that her daddy would never want her to get hurt. "No" her voice said timidly

"That's right. So please don't worry after all. Daddy will be here with you!" He tickled her tummy

Flare giggled, feeling more at ease then before. "Daddy...haha...stop! Haha!"

Blazion stopped, laughing a bit himself. He then made his way to his Swelterroer's house

"Whose Swelterrier?" Flare asked, the shyness returning to her voice

"Swelterrier is one of my best friends. He and daddy have known each other for thirty years now. He is auntie Blizzaria husband" he told her, as they came to Swelterrier's cottage.

"Auntie gonna be there?" Blazion still feared Blizzaria's powers, even though he married Frostina

"Yay!" Flare cheered, running up to the door,knocking it impatiently.

Swelterrier answered, he looked down at Flare and smiled. "Well, look like someone lost a cute girl or did this brave girl come here all by herself" he joked, petting Flare's head

Flare flinched immediately at his touch, running back to her father, hiding behind him

"Did I do something wrong?" Swelterrier's ears slightly drooped, feeling guilty for scaring the poor girl

"Nah. Flare is just shy. It's good to see you again, Swelterrier. How have you been?" Blazion took Flare in his arms, calming her down.

"I'm alright. It's been awhile hasn't it, Blazion. We're both married with two lovely ladies and have two cute kids" Swelterrier said, happy that fate had been kind to him

Behind Swelterrier, a small purple pup was hiding. He was exactly like Swelterrier but had Blizzaria's blue eyes, a small red cape, and a small red baton

"The pup looks exactly like you. Well, he does have his mother's eyes. So what's his name?" Blazion asked, putting Flare back down

"Colderman" Swelterrier answered, patting his son head

As the fathers talked, Flare and Cold met each other eyes. Both were blue, but each held their own flame of life.

"H-hi I-i'm C-cold" Cold stuttered, offering his paw to her

"I'm Flare" she covered her face in her cloak, then shook his paw

Flare wasn't used to play dates, her shyness often got in the way of her making new friends. She wished she was more bold like her daddy.

"T-that's a pretty n-name" he smiled

Flare blushed a small smile appeared on her face. "I like your name too"

"D-do you w-wanna play ttag?" Cold asked seemed ready to tag her

"Sure" Flare nodded, her face blushed more.

Cold then tagged her and run outside, he ran as fast as he could. Flare smirked, letting him run a distance before dashing aftering him.

After a while the kids fell asleep, exhausted from hours of playing tag.

"They're tucker out huh?" Swelterrier whispered trying g not to wake up the kids

"Yup" Blazion picked up Flare, as Swelterrier scooped up Cold

"See ya,next Wednesday" he waved, taking Flare back home

"See ya" Swelterrier waved, before getting Cold into bed

"I'm proud of you,Flare" Blazion kissed her sleepy head, making the long walk home.

Flare smiled in her sleep. She couldn't wait to play with her friend Cold again.
