Currently, Teams RWBY and JNPR are still staring at Akiri who had just been revealed as the leader of the top team at Beacon Academy.

Yang: The leader...

Jaune: Of the number one team...

Weiss: At Beacon?

Everyone, except for Blake, looked both surprised and confused.

Ozpin: Now, you might be wondering why someone like him was with you all during initiation. All I could say is, that as one of the top students in this academy, he is here to observe your abilities and skills first hand

Ozpin then stepped aside and Akiri took his place.

Akiri: I have to say, I'm impressed. When I was watching you back at the Emerald Forest, I see potential in each and every single one of you. The potential to be something greater. Study hard, everyone. And may you graduate to be the best Huntsmen and Huntresses of your generation

His short speech ended and another round of applause was heard.

He then walked off the stage and started to make his way back to where Teams RWBY and JNPR are at. As he was walking towards them, he sees Ruby running over towards him and he smiled.

Akiri: Hey, Rub-

His sentence was cut short as she unexpectedly hugged him.

Akiri: Rubes?

He looked at her confused as Ruby just hugged him tighter.

Ruby: I'm so glad...

Akiri: Huh?

Ruby: Why did you have to do that?!

She shouted as she looks up to him with both angry and upset expressions.

Ruby: I was really scared, you know! I actually thought you were going to be expelled...

His eyes widened a little at the sight before smiling at her and returning her hug.

Akiri: I'm sorry I made you upset

After a moment, the two broke the hug and they notice the others approaching them.

Yang: That was a pretty good speech

Akiri: Thank you. Now, how about I'll take you guys on a special tour of the school? You could ask me questions along the way

All of them agreed and with that, Teams RWBY and JNPR spent the rest of the day with Akiri on a tour of the Academy.

(Next day)

(Akiri POV)

I was making my way to class when I decided to stop by Team RWBY's dorms to check on them and see how they are doing on their very first day at Beacon.

As I was getting closer to their room, I heard the loud sounds of saws and hammers being used and I got confused.

Akiri: (thoughts) What in the world are they doing?

As I arrive, I walk up to their door and gave a couple firm knocks. A few seconds later, the door opens up and I saw that it was Ruby.

Ruby: Oh, good morning, Akiri

Akiri: Morning, Rubes. I just came to see how you girls are doing

Ruby: We're doing fine

Akiri: And I also heard some loud noises coming from your room on the way here

Ruby: Oh, we're making bunk beds

Akiri: Bunk beds?

She stepped aside and I saw that Weiss, Blake and Yang are lifting up one of the beds and placing it on top of another.

Akiri: Oookay, then... Well, I'll let you girls finish up. Just make sure you're not late for class

Ruby: Alright

I nodded my head and I started to make my way to the first class of the day.

(Timeskip)

As I walked into the classroom, I saw that the class is still empty and I saw Professor Port writing on the board.

Akiri: Good morning, Professor Port

I greeted him as I am walking over to take a seat.

Port: Ah, good morning to you too, Mr. Shiranobu. I heard that you would be observing the new students

Akiri: Yup. At least until the semester ends

Port: I see. Well, it certainly brings back memories, seeing you in my class again. Hopefully, you won't be making as much trouble as last time

He said before turning back to the board and I just chuckled as I sat down at my desk. I then noticed a cage next to the board and heard a growling noise coming from it.

Akiri: Caught another Boarbatusk, I see

Port: Sharp as ever, Mr. Shiranobu. As expected from my top student

(Timeskip)

As the minutes went by, more and more people start to enter the class and they settled down on their desks.

I looked over at my wristwatch and saw that it was already 8:55. I started getting worried as Teams RWBY and JNPR are still nowhere to be found.

Akiri: (thoughts) Five minutes until class starts... Don't tell me they're gonna be late on the first day

As I thought that, I heard the doors slam open and l look over to see Ruby's and Jaune's team enter.

Port: Ah, Teams RWBY and JNPR, please try to make it to class on time

Ruby: Sorry sir! Won't happen again!

Port: Good, now please take your seats

Ruby and her team saw me and they sat next to me to my right, Ruby and Weiss, along with Blake and Yang.

Akiri: What took you girls so long? I thought I told you not to be late

Ruby: Sorry... We lost track of time

Akiri: Well, make sure you don't do it again. Especially in Professor Goodwitch's class...

I shuddered, as I was reminded by that unfortunate time where me and my team are late by only half a minute.

(Timeskip)

(Third person POV)

Port: Monsters! Deeeemons... Prowlers of the night! Yes, the creatures of Grimm have many names, but I merely refer to them as prey!

As his lecture goes on, Akiri looks towards the members of RWBY. Blake and Yang are sitting up and paying attention, Weiss is taking notes, while Ruby has her head propped in her hand as she takes a quick nap.

Port: And you shall too, upon graduating from this prestigious academy! Now, as I was saying. Vale, as well as the other three kingdoms, are safe havens in an otherwise treacherous world! Our planet is absolutely teeming with creatures that would love nothing more than to tear you to pieces! And that's where we come in. Huntsmen! Huntresses... Individuals who have sworn to protect those who cannot protect themselves! From what, you ask? Why, the very world!

A random student stood up and raises his fist.

Student: Ayyyy-yep!

He stands like this for a moment as everyone looks at him strangely before sitting down, embarrassed.

Port: That is what you are training to become. But first, a story. A tale of a young, handsome man... Me! When I was a boy...

Akiri rolled his eyes as Professor Port began to tell the class one of his many stories. Akiri then noticed that Ruby is very focused on pencilling the paper in front of her.

Port: ...Despite smelling of cabbages, my grandfather was a wise man. 'Peter', he told me...

The speech goes on as Ruby chuckles at her creation and shows it to them, a very poor drawing of Professor Port with stink lines coming from him and "Professor Poop" written underneath.

Ruby blows a quick raspberry. Akiri, Blake and Yang had a good laugh while Weiss is getting annoyed.

Port: In the end, the Beowolf was no match for my sheer tenacity, and I returned to my village with the beast in captivity and my head held high, celebrated as a hero!

The teacher takes a bow as Weiss slowly gets more and more frustrated with Ruby's antics.

Port: The moral of this story? A true Huntsman must be honourable!

Ruby is balancing an apple on a book with her pencil held only by her finger while making a silly face.

Port: A true Huntsman must be dependable!

Ruby has fallen asleep yet again in the very first class of the year.

Port: A true Huntsman must be strategic, well-educated, and wise!

Ruby is not-so-subtly picking her nose, much to Weiss's building anger.

Port: So, who among you believes themselves to be the embodiment of these traits?

As soon as Port said that, Weiss got up with her hand raised.

Weiss: I do sir!

Port: Well then, let's find out! Step forward and face your opponent

After a few minutes, Weiss came back from the locker room in her normal gear and her teammates cheer her on from their seats in the front row.

Yang: Goooo, Weiss!

Blake: Fight well!

She shouted while waving a small flag saying "RWBY".

Ruby: Yeah, represent Teeeam RWBY!

Weiss lowers her sword and looks over at Ruby.

Weiss: Ruby! I'm trying to focus!

Ruby: Oh, um... Sorry...

Port: Alright!

Professor Port went to the cage, and pulls out his weapon.

Port: Let the match... begin!

The professor swings down and breaks the lock, dropping the cage door and revealing the Boarbatusk inside, which immediately charges at Weiss.

She uses Myrtenaster to deflect its attack and roll to the side, readying herself for its next move. The Grimm stands a distance away from her.

Port: Ha-ha! Wasn't expecting that, were you?

Ruby: Hang in there, Weiss!

Weiss is now speeding towards the oncoming Boarbatusk, sticking her blade straight at its skull until they meet and her rapier is trapped in the beast's tusks. Weiss is still hanging on to the handle, and she was tossed around as she struggles to get the weapon back.

Port: Bold, new approach. I like it!

Ruby: Come on, Weiss, show it who's boss!

Weiss turns to glare at Ruby, only for the Boarbatusk to turn its head and rip the sword from her grip. Her rapier lands far away from its owner, who is knocked back by the creature's tusks.

Port: Oh-ho! Now, what will you do without your weapon?

Weiss looks up to see the Boarbatusk charge again, rolling out of the way just in time to avoid getting trampled and the Grimm crashes into a desk. Weiss rushes at her sword and slides to get it back in her hand.

Ruby: Weiss! Go for its belly! There's no armour underneath-

Weiss: Stop telling me what to do!

She shouted and Ruby looks hurt at Weiss' rebuttal and I just placed a hand on her shoulder.

Meanwhile, the Boarbatusk leaps into the air and rolls into a ball, spinning rapidly in the air, consistently gaining speed until it launches itself at Weiss.

It comes closer and closer, but Weiss activates a Glyph and blocks the roll. She leapt up into another Glyph and launches herself towards the Grimm and drives the blade into its stomach.

It squeals and falls silent while Weiss sighs in relief.

Port: Bravo! Bravo! It appears we are indeed in the presence of a true Huntress-in-training! I'm afraid that's all the time we have for today. Be sure to cover the assigned readings, and stay vigilant! Class dismissed!

Weiss gives Ruby another glare and storms off and Ruby went after her.

Jaune: Sheesh, what's with her?

The remaining members of Team RWBY look at each other with the same question and Akiri quickly got up to follow the two.
