A day had passed since Blazekit had learned Badgerfang actually had a tail. And not long since Dawnheart had kitted. Now Blazekit and Bumblefire sat side by side, watching the sleeping Queen and her mewling kits. Both afraid of squishing the kits if they laid down.

"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Bumblefire asked suddenly. Blazekit looked at her father.

"That we should lay down outside?" Bumblefire nodded. Blazekit looked back at her mother quickly, before standing, Bumblefire following her actions. She left the nursery with her father close behind. She found a large rock on the edge of the camp, and plopped on the ground. Once more, her father copied her movements, and curled a tail around her.

"Blazekit, you know Dawnheart and I love you all equally right?"

Blazekit looked at Bumblefire skeptically. "Why do you ask?"

"Because I don't want you to think that I hate the other kits or anything when I stay with you more." Blazekit's skeptical gaze turned into one of laughter.

"No, I won't. You would have to see them enough though. Definitely more than Pebbleclaw did. Deal?"

"Deal."

"Blazekit!" Said kit winced at the volume of her denmate's voice. "One more moon and we're apprentices! Can you believe it?"

Honeykit seemed to get more energetic each day, and it was getting pretty annoying. The fact that her and Blazekit were the biggest and the oldest, made her target her denmate for battle practice, ever since she had learned some things. Blazekit had been taught a bit more from Bumblefire, but that was mostly non-life threatening. Was it bad that she wanted to learn more violent moves now?

"Hello?"

She shook her head hard. "Sorry. What did you say?"

"I said do you want to train with Honeykit, Adderpaw and I?" That wasn't Honeykit's voice. Either way, her answer was the same.

"Not really." Honeykit seemed to be upset about her reply. "Why?!" She cried. Blazekit flattened her ears and rolled her eyes.

"I just don't want to. I want to stay here and rest. Besides, I just laid down." Honeykit huffed, and stalked away, her tail high.

"Really?" Adderpaw watched Honeykit with an unreadable expression. "Why are you still here?" Blazekit wondered aloud. She dipped her head in apology when Bumblefire gave her a stern glance.

The two apprentices chuckled to each other, but left nonetheless. Crowkit then came with a mouse. "Do you want me to leave too?" He asked. There was no hurt in his voice, just worry. Bumblefire looked amused at the response that left her mouth.

"You can stay." She said, her recently flattened ears returning to they're upward stance. Crowkit beamed and snaked under Bumblefire's tail, cuddling up to Blazekit. "Thanks." He breathed, though being slightly muffled by her fur.

Okay. So, I know this is really short...but I can't think right now. I'm pretty sure I'm having a little writer's block. Next chapter should be longer.
