Prolouge
Blaze watched from behind a rock with her mother. Her father was watching an execution of a traitor from his throne that had attempted to kill him.
"We mustn't stay long Blaze. Samael doesn't like watchers from the shadows after the execution has finished." Blaze's mother said and grabbed her arm. Blaze attempted to watch a little longer, but her mother yanked her away.
"You remember last time don't you?" Her mother hissed. Blaze faced forward and was yet again reminded she was in the burning chasm of hell when the heat wafted over her face.
"Tell me of how you got with father." Blaze said, it was a common question she would ask alot, but her mother never would tell her.
"It.. you're to young to understand Blaze." She said quickly. Blaze sighed, the same old answer she always got. Blaze ran ahead and climbed up over the wall with her mother following her. She spotted a few demons and immediately pulled her hood up over her head.
They glanced at the pair hostilely, then went back to their own business.
"Get home. You know the way. I'm going to go get more supplies." Her mom said. Blaze nodded and scampered away and turned down a road. She leaped over a crumbled wall, hoping that no bandits saw her again.
Blaze shuffled down and crawled underneath a hole in the wall and stood up, dusting off her leather dress. She ran around the room and checked that all the locks and barricades were set up and were in good shape.
Blaze climbed up onto a barricade and moved a tarp out of the way and climbed up onto the roof. She stared over the small amount of other buildings and could see her father on his throne, looking bored and angry at the same time.
"Why don't I live with you? Why won't mother tell me how you met?" Blaze silently asked, her small voice barely audible.
"Hey girl! What are you doing up here?" A voice asked from behind her. Blaze looked behind her, her black bangs getting messy under her hood. It was a boy who looked like he was 7, two years older than she was.
"Stay away from me." She warned. He looked like he was pretty strong.
"I will. Why are you up here?" He asked. Blaze saw he had some black horns that were just growing in and some pale red hair. She wasn't surprised to see he had red eyes, that was common here.
"No where else to go." Blaze answered simply. He looked past her and saw Samael.
"Little girl got high hopes for the blood prince?" He teased. Blaze glared at him, her orange eyes burning.
"Not even." She growled, shivering with disgust from the secret she knew about her birth.
"And I'm only 5 years you idiot." Blaze said. He smirked.
"That's kind of obvious shorty." He said. Blaze rolled her eyes.
"Go home. My mother will kill you." Blaze warned when she heard the locks turning downstairs and started climbing back inside.
"Whatever." He said and jumped off the roof onto another.
