Chapter 23
Blaze flinched when a girl with black hair and ice blue eyes peaked out from the side of the doorway. She thought for a split second it was Mist. But the face was different.
She looked back to the demon, wanting so badly to slap him with the smirk that had appeared on his face from her reaction.
"Why is the daughter of Samael here?" The new girl asked. Blaze spotted a marking on her collar bone and immediately know who they were.
"I've been here a while. I'm just curious of why the youngest horsemen are too." Blaze said. The black haired girl blinked in surprise, confirming Blaze's suspicion.
"Scouting mission. Updating the third kingdoms progress for the charred council and the other kingdoms." The girl said, Blaze had never bothered to remember the riders names.
"Maybe I'm here on my fathers behalf." Blaze said with a small smirk. Then she remembered why she was there.
"Which demons did he send?" Blaze asked.
"Talim, Inasa ad Gar." The boy answered. BLaze's eyes lit up like a candle.
"Gar?! Let me pass, I must speak with him." Blaze forced her way past him and went to the hallyway.
"Which one?"
"Right." The boy answered.
"He's in the bed on the far right." The boy called after her. Blaze opened the door and saw him lying in the bed.
She couldn't hold back her excitment and jumped onto the bed with him, careful not to land right on him.
"Talim I swear to the dregs of-" Gar started, but stopped when he saw it was Blaze.
"Blaze?" He asked groggily, shaking his head, his fully grown crooked black horns unbalancing him a bit.
"Gar! I can't believe it! I missed you so much!" Blaze said, wrapping her arms around his neck in a tight hug. Gar was surprised by the embrace, but returned it.
"Blaze?" Inasa asked from behind her. Blaze turned around and saw her old friend.
"Inasa! I've missed you too. You too Talim." Blaze said, sending a flick of the wrist in his direction as she sat back down on the bed. He nodded, a smirk on his face.
"Gar, do you remember anything?" Blaze asked. He raised an eyebrow at her.
"You mean about the sleep chamber? Yeah, Mist and Basha told us. They said you had been awakened already and we didn't need to worry about it." Gar said. Blaze was about to reply, but stopped herself.
'Didn't need to worry about it?' Blaze thought to herself.
