Every year the NOL would recruit new members from many talented students from the Military Academy. But this year the NOL have some changes in plan before they can become a physically a Librarium. They have to go over 2 last exams. One is where they are guided by a member that was to show them how it works around the department they have chosen. That member will see how they do on the field and wrote them a report, that report will have 75% last effect on their last exam. This year it is Jin turn to do that honor, but there one thing that irritates him. There was only one person chooses to be in the Magic Division Department.

(Y/n) (L/n). Her study and combat skill are average, but her technique is unpredictable not just only her fighting style that stands out but because she has the highest Ars Magus record out of the whole academy that makes her perfect to go under Jin wings. Well more like just following him around town or the department carrying file and paperwork, like a little duckling. You did try to start a conversation with him, nothing seems to last long enough to really call a talk. You just ask and he answers it either yes and no or no more than 3 words. This isn't what you really hoping for, you thought working with Jin apprentice would be cool, seeing him fighting and actually learning something. But reality has other plans.

Another day with the major doesn't seem much trouble to you, besides the fact he barely says anything to you. For the major in the other hand, it's like having another tail with him an annoying one that is.

" Major what are we investigating today? Is there trouble in town?"

"No"

" Then we are on a patrol major?

" Yes."

" Do you think we going to catch someone today? We might even catch Ragna the Bloodedge."

At that point Jin finally break, he has had it enough with you. He tries to bare with you trying to talk to him all the time, he knows you were only trying to be nice and to break the pressure. But when it comes to his brother there something just something trigger him.

You shut your eyes tightly, didn't dare to take peek. As soon as you sense danger is coming when the Major takes his sword out. The cold sharp ice edges merely touching her cheek. Your heart drops when your eyes meet with the Majors. His eyes were like he was ready to eat you alive, no it indescribable. His eyes can freeze anyone.

" WE!!! There have never been a we and never will when there a battle sit down and watch you will not interfere in any way, understood!!?" He said in a colder and more commanding voice then he always does. You slowly nod, as he turns away you keep walking with him. You head your head down and finally stop talking.

It seems almost like fate had set its core to be ironically as possible like always. After a while of walking none stop you two encounter Ragna right outside a restaurant. In hearing a chuckle coming from the Major surprises you. You didn't know that it is accidentally sound like a maniac laughter or is it just his true nature towards Ragna. Nope. It is just how Jin reacts toward Ragna. He practically sang 'Big Brother' as he charges full force at the criminal.

You wanted to charge in and help him, but remembering his eyes and the tension in his voice make you freeze where you stand. In serious note seeing the Major getting serious damage isn't the best image of all time, even though Jin is your high commander and he has treated you quite coldly. The sight of seeing him in this state just ache you somehow. Everything happens so fast, the last thing you recall was seeing Ragna about to go for the last attack toward the Major. Then everything went back....

You find yourself waking up by the light that shines directly into your eyes. You sat up, rubbing your eyes to ease down the pain regaining your eyes sight you gasped as you realize you are no longer on patrol like you recall at first.

" Oh, you're awake." A familiar smooth cold voice made you follow the direction of the voice. Jin never notices how beautiful you are, as the sunlight shine down at your figure, maybe it just he was too busy to ever have a clear good look at your face. He walks over, lifting your right hand up looking at it with full cautious. Your hand was carefully bandaged and even when Jin touches it gently, it causes you to flinch in pain. You react to the pain and pull your hand back, instead of sitting and glare at you Jin start to stroke your head gently. You felt your cheeks become hot as you shook your head.

" You shouldn't get in between a fight like that. You might get yourself kill."

Then you finally recall fully the accident. Jin was starting to cough out more blood while Ragna looks like he has lost control of his Ars Magus, you can tell by his change from common to extreme attack at the Major nonstop Your leg was acting up on it own as you rush to the Major side, using your (w /n) to create a(n) (e/ n) big and hopefully strong enough shield to block the attack. But it not. The blast was so strong it broke the shield in mere seconds, causing you to be crash hard to the ground. That when you blackout.

" You're are lucky enough to be alive after a blast like that." He sat down on the bed beside you. He gently has his thumb on your chin and pulls your face close to him. Your face was only inches away from his, you two were eye to eye. You notice his eyes were cold but yet somehow warm, you blush when you notice you were staring.

" Well, you seem to be healing just fine. And seeing I have to take responsibility for your injured, might as well let me take care of you." You nod and look down a little. You were a little heartbreak, he only came to see you because it was his duty and not because he cares. You suddenly feel someone kissing your forehead, as your face light up by the sudden touch you could hear Jin voice.

" For an annoying brat, your the only one manage to caught my interest." He pets your head one last time before leaving the room. And a confusing you.
