Adrenaline's Backstory

A/N: In my original A/N, I said something about how I updated quickly. As you can see, I changed it for obvious reasons.
Carlos Rodriguez stood next to a plane's closed door, smoking a cigar. "¿Estamos por encima de la zona de descenso , Miguel?" Carlos called out to the pilot. "Sí Carlos , usted está claro para saltar." Carlos grinned, and pulled open the door, taking a deep drag before tossing his cigar out the door. "Te dejaré saber dónde aterricé cuando la tierra . Nos vemos en un poco , amigo!" Carlos jumped out of the plane, tilting himself downward and feeling the wind rush past his face as he rocketed towards the ground. He grinned as he felt a rush of adrenaline flow through him. Way better than any drug, Carlos thought to himself. He saw what looked like a small town far beneath him. I'll try to land there, maybe get some publicity. Carlos grinned, and tilted his body completely vertically, falling downward at a rapid pace. He closed his eyes, waiting for the perfect moment...now.
Carlos pulled the cord on his parachute, keeping his eyes closed. He did a flip to bring himself upward just before his parachute burst out. He slowly drifted to the ground, with an excited grin on his face. When he touched down, he opened his eyes, only to see a bunch of soldiers with their weapons drawn surrounding him. He looked around and instead of being a small town, he realized he was in a military base. "Mierda." Carlos muttered under his breath, raising his hands.
                    Six months later
Aboard the Redemption airship prison
Carlos lay back in his cell, staring at the ceiling. All this time, and he had almost earned a pardon. Just a few more weeks and---- PRISONER 6291. REPORT TO THE MAIN DECK IMMEDIATELY, the loudspeaker blared. Carlos sighed and got up, walking to the deck. When he arrived at the door, he took a deep breath, and pushed through the door. He felt wind immediately blast past his face. His pack shimmered as the windshield and grav-lock activated. He walked to the officer in charge. "What's my job this time?" He asked in accented English (I don't know how to write accents, sorry). The officer turned to him and said, "This control panel is busted. You have to try and repair it. You got me-"
The officer was cut off as his pack started sparking, a shimmer appearing over his body, and he rocketed off the airship. Carlos saw him falling, and instantly ran after him, jumping off the side of the ship. He instinctively went vertical, speeding up and catching up to the officer. He grabbed the officer, flipped vertical, and activated his emergency chute. Carlos looked up and saw drones coming down towards them. When they came close enough, they picked the two up and carried them back to the deck. Carlos was immediately at gunpoint. "Now doesn't this seem familiar," Carlos grumbled under his breath, raising his hands above his head.
Carlos sat in an all white interrogation room, waiting for his interviewer. Just then, the door opened and a large robot walked through the door. It was silver, with several glowing green gear shapes on it's chest, and a circle on each hand and foot. It looked at him, and a deep mechanical voice said, "Mr. Carlos Rodriguez. Do you know who I am?" "Si, you're Fallout, a superhero," Carlos responded. The robot chuckled. "While that is true, Mr. Rodriguez, I am also..." The robot paused as the back of his body pulled outward and folded up. Out stepped an average looking man in an expensive suit. "Michael Pierce, the CEO of Price Inc., the inventor of several incredible devices, the founder of this prison, and the leader of the Redeemer superhero team." The man finished, his voice now regular. Carlos, completely blown away, said, "So what do you want with me?" Pierce sat down and folded his hands. "Well Mr. Rodriguez, you seem to have very unique talents, and you are very fit, with the only health detractor being those cigars you chain-smoked for years. Regardless, I would like to offer you a position with the government sponsored superhero team I run, the Redeemers. You have almost served your time, and accepting will grant you access to incredible devices and resources." Carlos, intrigued, leaned back in his seat. "What kind of devices?" Pierce took a small device out of his pocket, and pressed a few buttons, cueing a hologram to appear. Pierce selected several devices. "We have in design for you, a special suit with a force field, a jet pack for maneuverability and speed, grappling hooks, and a small wrist mounted energy gun that can fire large explosive bolts or smaller penetration bolts. It will also contain a built in wing suit and parachute. It will have more than that when we're finished, but that's the basics. So, what do you say?" Carlos looked down and went over his options. Really, it was quite easy to decide. Finish his sentence and leave with that blotch on his record, or join a superhero team. Carlos looked Pierce right in the eye. "Where do I sign up?"
A/N: Great? Good? Bad? Shit? Let me know!
