Saturday
When Midoriya woke up from his bed, he felt his stomach twist and turn.
He knew that feeling.
He recognizes it.
Because that’s the way fate is telling him, ‘I have come to visit you again.’
He clenches his fist.
Last Saturday, he had to fix the power outage, slept without the heater on and got attacked by soup.
Last Sunday, he had to clean the dorms, wash the dishes and missed dinner.
Last Monday, he got attacked by soup again and had to go shopping.
Last Tuesday, he stubbed his toe, and got attacked by a bird.
Last Wednesday, he got attacked by soup again, got into a fight with Bakugou and had to clean the dorms as punishment. Oh, fun fact, the only thing he ate that day was his breakfast.
Last Thursday, Bakugou bruised his wrist going on and on about who he was or wasn’t, and he had to clean the dorms again from morning to night with a bruised wrist. Oh, fun fact, Katsuki fucking Bakugou hadn’t apologized yet.
Last Friday, because he only ate a banana and drank coffee the previous day, he then proceeded to vomit everything out after he ate his sleeping pills. He hit his head against the cupboard and got told that his mother ended up in the hospital. Another fun fact, she still hasn’t woken up yet.
And now here he was, his head pounding, his heart beating erratically, his stomach turning upside down.
And for the first time, Midoriya felt a sudden urge to murder everyone, so that this fucking bullshit could end.
It definitely didn’t help with the fact that the provisional hero license exams was literally a week away.
To make things worse, the moment he got up from his bed, he tripped over his blanket and fell face first onto the floor.
Midoriya swore he could hear fate laughing at his misery.

Midoriya stirred the cup of coffee, as he ate the biscuits absentmindedly.
It was 3.48am in the morning.
Not the best time to be awake, Midoriya knows.
He tried to sleep again, but he ended up staring at the ceiling for 30 minutes straight.
Midoriya sighs, drinking the piping hot in one go, the burning sensation bringing him back to Earth.
“Might as well check up on everyone and make sure none of them are having nightmares.”
-w-
Midoriya spent about 30 minutes comforting Kirishima, who had a nightmare of himself failing to save Bakugou.
It didn’t help with the fact that Kirishima kept activating his quirk, thrashing the bed.
Midoriya ended up with a bruise in his stomach.

Midoriya spent about 30 minutes comforting Lida, that no he had not slipped on the ice and that he had not disgraced his brother.
He had to keep reassuring Lida that he had in fact saved Bakugou, which was a very heroic deed.
It didn’t help that Lida was crying.
It made it more obvious to Midoriya that he had to try harder, so that he could protect everyone, so that no one would have nightmares anymore.
-w-
Midoriya winced as he applied the ointment on his stomach.
If someone asks…
Midoriya paused.
He could just say his entire All Might figurine stash had landed on his stomach, when he was trying to get it from his top drawer.
He had to.
No one remembered Midoriya helping them with their nightmares after all.
-w-
Midoriya sat on his bed, meditating to calm his repressed rage.
The coffee machine broke.
It fucking broke.
The only thing that kept Midoriya sane the whole time was gone.
And Midoriya had a hunch something worse was going to happen later.
And that the broken coffee machine was just a warning.
Midoriya winced as he flexed his bandaged hand.
The shards had impaled his hand, hitting a nerve.
And since he was used to injuries, he stitched himself up, grateful that he didn't have to deal with Recovery Girl’s fury.
Midoriya sighed, his past injuries haven't exactly healed yet.
Urghhh, just leave me alone and let me be in peace, for fuck’s sake!
Screaming in his mind at fate, he punched his pillow and sighed.
He was nearing his tipping point soon, and if he doesn’t vent his anger out, Midoriya fears that he might just lose control of himself.

“Dekkun!”
Midoriya froze.
“Villains!”
“Hey hey hey! Thought you got rid of us?” Dabi smirked.
Midoriya turned around, and stared at the villains pouring out of the purple swirling portal, and growled softly.
So, that’s it, isn’t it? That’s right, sending villains to fuck my day up even more.
You’re going to take someone precious from me, aren’t you?
Midoriya glared at Shigaraki who was now inner monologuing about why they were here, not that Midoriya was paying attention anyways.
His mind shut off, as rage built up from within.
And then he snapped.
“We’re just here to pay a special visit, you know? We just wanna have some fun and we’ll be-”
“Hahahahahahahahahahaha.” Midoriya burst in laughter.
Everyone grew silent as they watched the supposedly ‘pure cinnamon roll’ laughing and wheezing.
“I-I’m sorry, what? Have some fun?” Midoriya chuckled.
A maniacal gleam shined from within.
“Fun?” Midoriya tilted his head, as he rested his index finger on his chin.
“Oh fun, I know what that is!” He giggled childishly.
“M-Midoriya?”
No one expected it.
No one did.
But before they could blink, everyone, both villains and heroes alike, flew backwards due to the sudden impact.
“Oh, I believe I’m going to enjoy this very much.”
One For All was activated, pulsing through Midoriya’s body.
The sudden bright green glow radiated dangerously, the immense pressure from One For All crushing everyone.
In a flash, Midoriya appeared before Himiko, a fist in her face.
Flying backwards, she crashed against the wall, and coughed blood.
Dabi widened his eyes, and immediately activated his quirk to attack.
However, even before a single blue flame had ignited, he got throat-punched.
Dabi stumbled back, wheezing as he collapsed onto the ground.
Midoriya walked towards Shigaraki who was now trembling.
“Y-You-”
Shiagaraki screamed, as Midoriya twisted both of his arms behind his back, a crack heard loud and clear.
Hands now falling limply to his side, Midoriya clutched Shiragaki by his throat, raising him up above the ground.
“Oh, Kurogiri, don’t run. I won’t hurt you.” Midoriya smiled as he tilted his head to the side, where Kurogiri was inching backwards slowly.
“That metal brace around your neck, that’s where your vital organs are, right?”
Kurogiri shuddered in fright.
Midoriya dropped Shigaraki onto the floor, and skipped his way merrily to the mist villain.
Staring into the villain’s eyes, Midoriya frowned, before taking a step back.
“Don’t worry, I won’t hurt you.”
Kurogiri looked at the green haired teen in confusion.
“Have you ever tried taking off those metal braces?”
Kurogiri frowned.
“No?”
“That’s right, why not then?”
Kurogiri froze.
“It’s such a pity you became like this, Oboro Shirakumo.”
Aizawa froze.
Kurogiri collapsed to his knees, as a memory seemingly flashed in his eyes.
“All of you are really pitifully sad.
Tomura Shigaraki, real name Tenko Shimura, Nana Shimura’s relative. Due to the fact that you killed your whole family when your quirk first manifested, you were shunned as a villain, and was brought to All For One.
It is unfortunate, if things had gone differently, you would have made a wonderful hero. Your quirk would have been useful for ambush or hostage situations. But, like I said, All For One got to you first.
Himiko Toga, compassionate, loving, caring, has all of the perfect traits to be a hero, but our dear friend here is sadistic and mentally unstable. All she wanted to do was to fit into society, and be ‘normal’.
‘Normal’, right?
She took it the wrong way, and decided to be ‘part of society’.
Literally.”
Midoriya laughed, as he wiped away a single tear.
“If only someone came to her before all of this started, and told the poor child, she didn’t need to be ‘normal’, she was fine being ‘unique’.” Midoriya smiled sadly at the girl who was still laying against the crushed wall, her limbs fractured.
“Oh, and then there’s Dabi! I love this kid.”
Dabi’s blue flames rose up around him, as he growled at Midoriya like a cornered animal.
“What was his name again?” Midoriya tapped his finger against his chin, and paused, before grinning with a sadistic gleam in his eyes, “Touya Todoroki.”
Dabi froze.
“Am I right?”
“The eldest son of Endeavour.”
“I am not his son!” Dabi shouted, rage igniting his blue flames further.
Midoriya paused, and smiled.
“Mr. Todoroki.” Midoriya laughed, “the expression on your face is priceless.”
Dabi ignited his blue flames.
“Even Endeavour’s flames are hotter than yours.” Midoriya grinned.
Dabi widened his eyes, as Midoriya disappeared before him.
BAM
Dabi smashed against the floor as Midoriya landed a kick against him from behind.
“I really don’t get it. Why? Why would you let her get to you?”
Her?
Dabi strained his neck to look at the towering Midoriya, pressing his feet down on his back, forcing him against the ground.
“All of you. Every single one of you are pawns on her chess board.”
Midoriya frowned.
“If only things turned out differently.
If Tenko Shimura had someone to depend on, if Oboro Shirakumo had been saved, if Himiko Toga was appreciated and had true friends who she could rely on, if Toya Todoroki had been offered safety in his early days of childhood, if… but it’s an if.
A sad, sad, sad ‘if’."
Tears trickled down Midoriya’s cheeks.
A small gasp as hearts tighten at the sight of the unfathomable amount of grief hiding behind those bright green eyes.
Midoriya chuckled, his laughter bitter.
Sitting down beside Dabi, Mirodriya ruffled Dabi’s hair.
“Wanna hear mine?”
No one responded.
“If Midoriya hadn’t been abandoned.
If Midoriya hadn't been neglected.
If Midoriya hadn’t been bullied.
If Midoriya hadn't been alone.
If Midoriya hadn’t been asked to jump off the building.
If Midoriya hadn’t been attacked.
If Midoriya hadn’t nearly died.
If Midoriya hadn’t been saved.”
Midoriya paused for a while, before continuing to speak.
“If Midoriya had gotten a quirk.
If Midoriya had someone to confide into.
If Midoriya had let go.
If Midoriya had given up.
If Midoriya had stopped.
If Midoriya had watched him die.”
And then a sad smile tugged at the green haired teen’s lips,
“If Midoriya had lost hope. If all those had happened, I would have just been like all of you.”
Everyone froze, taking in the sudden barrage of information.
“That’s why you’re all so pitifully sad.”
Midoriya stood up and dusted his clothes.
“Kurogiri, open the portal back to your own headquarters.”
Kurogiri looked upon him in confusion.
“You guys are just broken dolls, that will only break more upon interrogation. Take your friends back and leave. Once you guys are fine,” Midoriya paused, “you’re welcome to attack us anytime.”
Kurogiri chuckled at Midoriya’s antics and activated his quirk.
And soon, they were all gone.
Midoriya stared at the debris before him and sighed.
“I’m going to clear my mind, I’ll be back in a few days. Don't bother looking for me.”
Midoriya disappeared.
