(no ones POV)

It was night time in the city of Vale. Blake and Sun are inside your car with you as you drive through the city in search of a hotel to spend the night. Sun checked every corner of your car to see how elegant it was inside of it. On the other hand, Blake was reading a book in the backseat of your car since Sun ended up sitting next to you while you were driving.

Sun: This car is sick dude! The air conditioner works wonderfully and quietly, the seats are soft and comfortable. The only thing we need is good music. Hey, what does that button do?

(y/n): DON'T press it.

Sun: Alright! Jeez!

You stopped because I changed the traffic light in front of you to a red light and you stayed there, waiting for the light to change again. A police car stopped next to your car. One of the policemen turned to see your car and saw Sun playing with the window, making it go up and down. The police recognized Sun because he is one of the detectives who tried to catch the monkey faunus.

Detective1: Hey, you are the faunus who threw a banana peel in my face!

Sun: H-Hello officer.

Detective1: Get out of the car, you and your friend with the duck mask are under arrest!

Blake: Great.

(y/n): *Sigh* Fuck it!

You stepped on the pedal and your car accelerated at great speed but with the police quickly chasing you.

Blake: What are you doing?!

(y/n): Driving.

Sun: You are going to put us in more problems!

(y/n): We are already in trouble. Hey sun, you remember that button you wanted to press?

Sun: Yeah, why?

(y/n): Now would be a good time for that!

Sun pressed the button in front of him, activating a system that caused multiple control panels to appear in front of you.

Sun: Wow!

Blake: What is all of this?

(y/n): Something for bad situations or just in case.

Pressing one of the panels, it opened a map that showed multiple police cars that were heading towards you and preparing a blockade where you were driving.

Sun: Dude turn around! You are going directly to the blockade!

(y/n): That's the plan.

Blake/Sun: What?!

Some other policemen joined the persecution and started firing at your car. The bullets bounced off the tires and windows of your car because they were armored. Sun and Blake crouched to cover themselves, but quickly got up again when they saw that nothing happened.

Sun: Is this a freaking tank or what?!

(y/n): Something like that. Maybe you two want to put on the seat belts, we are getting closer to the blockade.

The blockade was ahead and instead of slowing down, you accelerated even more with your car, leaving more and more behind the policemen who were following you.

Sun: I didn't want to die like this! There is so much I wanted to do and so much that I wanted to see!

Blake: I never finished reading the second volume of "ninjas of love"!

(y/n): Hey Sun, watch this.

You pressed one of the buttons on the panels that were in your car, activating some spikes on the tires of your car. You started to turn towards one of the walls of the buildings near you and thanks to the spikes on the wheels of your car, you started driving stuck to the walls, effectively evading the blockade of the police. Your car jumped off the wall and were now driving normaly on the street again. But the cops showed to be persistent and they were still chashing you.

Blake: Let's never do that again please.

Sun: Dude, that was the most amazing thing I ever see!

(y/n): We still didn't get rid of them.

Suddenly, you turned with your car to a parking lot and entered, quickly looking for an empty parking space.

Blake: We are never going to lose them in here! There is only one exit!

(y/n): I know what I'm doing!

You found an empty space and you parked in the fastest way possible. Once parked, you pressed other panels of your car, activating a camouflage system. This changed the color of your car from black to white and also changed the license plates of your car. Once camouflaged, you turned off the engine of your car but still holding the keys just in case something may happen.

Sun: What are you-

(y/n): Camouflage system. Now stay quiet!

One of the police cars entered the same parking lot where you were and passed by in front of your car, fortunately, the police car went on without suspecting anything. You leaned back in your seat and let out a deep sigh.

Sun: Now what?

(y/n): We wait.

Blake: For how long?

(y/n): Until they leave.

Sun: That is not gonna happen any time soon.

You opened the glove compartment of the car and took out two packages of snacks. You gave one of the packages to Blake and you offered the other to Sun.

Blake: What about you?

(y/n): I'm not hungry.

Sun: Dude, you have to teach me how to drive like that. It was like in the movie "try hard"! By the way, what's your name? I forgot to ask.

(y/n): (y/n) (l/n).

Sun: *eating some fries* (y/n)? That name rings a-

Before Sun could finish what he was going to say, he began to choke and look at you with fear. Sun tried desperately to open the door but the bolt system showed to be stronger than him.

Blake: What's wrong?

Sun: I'm in the same car as a serial killer!

Blake: What? There is no killer here.

Sun: Yes there is! (y/n) is Overhaul! A cold-blooded killer who doesn't feel any emotion after killing someone!

Blake: That's not true! (y/n) would never hurt a person without reason!

(y/n): Blake, he is not entirely wrong.

Blake: Wh-What?

Sun: Blake, listen. The police of Mistral couldn't find any charges to arrest him because all his homicide victims appeared without any real wound, only with headaches. The only thing they could get were rumors from other people.

Blake: Then how does that make him a killer?

(y/n): It's because I brought them back to life.

Blake/Sun: What?!

Blake: You can do that?!

(y/n): It is complicated to explain. But in a way, yes, I can bring some people back to life.

Blake: I thought that you semblance allowed you to manipulate liquids, since you exploded a grimm from his inside.

(y/n): But that wouldn't have allowed me to transform my necklace into a sword. My semblance allows me to reassemble and disassemble anything I come in contact with. 

Blake: Wait, if you can do that, then...

(y/n): Then Sun isn't lying.

Sun: See!

Blake: But why would you do something like that?! When we were children, you were a very happy and kind boy. Now, I don't know if you smile under your mask or that, but you became a very cold person. Why?

(y/n): *sigh* I never told you how I met Eri, right?

Blake: N-No. But what does that has to do with this?

(y/n): Because it was at that moment where Overhaul was born... Since we're going to be here for a while, would you like to hear a story?

Sun: Can I still eat the snacks?

(y/n): You were trying to run for your life a few moments ago.

Sun: Yeah, but his looks like an interesting story.

You and Blake looked at Sun with a look that said "seriously?".

Sun: What?

(y/n)): Anyway.

(flashback)(your POV)

It had been a long time since my parents were killed. I stayed outside of Mistral but every so often I got into the city to visit my friends Blake and Adam. There was a day when I went to visit my friends that I found the person I wanted to see dead more than anyone in the world, I found the only bandit who escaped from my house, I found my parents' killer. I followed him throughout the day, he traveled to many taverns and striper clubs. He wasn't just a bandit, he was a bastard! Finally when it started to get dark the idiot went to his house. I prepared to enter and take revenge but something happened, I heard the scream of a woman inside the house. I was wearing a black cape and a dust mask at the time. I quickly entered his house breaking the window and I was face to face with the murderer of my parents. Looking at him more closely, I could see that he had a pair of horns on his head that were passing through a hat that he was wearing. In his hand, he was holding a red katana that was dripping blood. Behind him, there was a woman with silver hair lying on the wall with a stab wound in her stomach. The bastard looked me straight in the eyes and began to smile.

(y/n): What is your name.

???: Why do you want to know my name?

(y/n): I want to know the name of the one who killed my parents.

Alexander: Alexander, my name is Alexander Taurus. You must be the son of that stupid (f/n) and the one who killed my partner. This time it will not be like that time, now I have my weapon and I'm ready to kill you.

(y/n): Why did you stab that woman behind you?

Alexander: She is my wife. The stabbing because she is a stupid and useless human, just like yo-

I touched the wall quickly, causing two spikes to come out of it and stab Alexander in the shoulders, pinning him in the other wall. He let out a cry of pain as he tried to break free.

Alexander: Yo-You damn brat!

(y/n): I don't care if you are a faunus or a human, you are the living example of not deserving life. BURN IN HELL YOU MISERABLE MONSTER! 

Putting my hand on his stomach, I activate my semblance making the upper part of his body explode, killing him instantly. It's more mercy than that bastard deserved. I was about to leave until one hand held the ankle of my leg. I looked down and saw the same wounded woman, putting the few strengths left she had to stop me. 

Amy: K-Kid w-wait! My na-name is Amy Snow. P-Please, you ha-have to help me!

(y/n): By the time I find help, you will have already bled to death. Sorry, I'm really sorry.

Amy: I-Is not that! *Coughs some blood* Ta-Take my daughter with you!

(y/n): What? 

Amy: My daughter Eri, she is in her b-bed. Don't leave her alone here! A life full of hate awaits for her here! Pl-Please, I'm begging you! Sh-She is the winter... c-can't... let her...

Amy finally released her last breath and died. I walked to the room at the end of the hallway and upon entering, I saw a little girl of about three years old sleeping in her bed. That girl had silver hair like her mother and a single horn on the side of her head. 

(y/n): Eri ... I don't know what kind of life would have waited for you if I had not come here. But I promise you that from now on, I will make sure that you have the life that they took from me, a happy one.

(flashback end)

(y/n): I can't talk about why many people went after Eri, I can only say that I had to kill many people so that the two of us can survive. But never in my life did I kill someone innocent, that's the only good thing I can say about myself. 

Sun: Wow... that was deep.

Blake: Does Eri know about this?

(y/n): No... I told her that her parents died but not how. It's better that way, Eri is... unstable.

Blake: unstable?

(y/n): Her semblance is activated with her emotional state. If she were to find out about this, who knows what could happen.

There was a long moment of silence inside the car. I felt a hand on my shoulder and saw Blake giving me a look of sympathy.

Blake: You sacrificed a lot for her, didn't you?

(y/n): I did, that's why I don't feel anything when I see someone die in front of me. Death and I go walking holding hands together.

Blake: That's terrible!

(y/n): I know. But... Now I have another opportunity to start again and get away from that path. Maybe even have a normal life, who knows?

Blake: (y/n)...

Sun: Hey, (y/n)?

(y/n): Yes?

Sun: Sorry for calling you a cold-blooded killer. You are a cool and brave guy, I respect that.

(y/n): *chuckle* Thanks.

Sun raised his fist and left it in front of me, waiting for me to return the gesture. I roll my eyes in annoyance and let out a deep sigh. But I fist bump his hand and he laughed a little. 

(Blake POV)

That's why Adam hates humans so much. Because (y/n) killed his father and what is worse, Eri has no idea that Adam is his real brother. I don't know why, but I know that at the end of the time, Adam and (y/n) will end up killing each other, until only one of them is standing.
