Chapter 10

CHAPTER 10

I walked into the homeroom anxiously as I fiddle with the straps of the bag. I catch the sight of an empty seat and sat on it. I scanned around my surroundings.

Most of them were talking lively as their eyes sparkled portraying their interest. One or two of them were reading a book having a keen interest in it, completely oblivious to their surroundings. Next to them were a couple, hot, in their make-out session.

I scrunched my face in disgust and slouched on my chair pulling my big hood over my face, to cover it and crossed my hands over my chest as I closed my eyes.

I just have been really anxious and restless and took extra attention to my surrounding for the past week. I don't know why. I guess I'm still paranoid about the whole mystery-stalker man who had challenged. I mean, he knows how my face looks like and my name, even though no one knows my real name back there except for Sean and Calvin. I mean, for all I know he could be watching me from the window through binoculars.

I frowned and opened my eyes to meet with a striking pair pigmented with electrifying blue.

My frown deepened.

"Zayn?" I questioned not really expecting him to talk to me.

He grinned and scraped a chair to his side to him across the floor to him making an unpleasant disturbing sound. I cringed as he sat on the chair he pulled out in front of me facing me.

"So... How is life?" He inquired as he smiled cheekily.

I frowned. "What do want Zayn?"

He pouted. "Oh come on, can't I ask an innocent question to a beautiful girl?" I rose my eyebrow.

"No. What do you want, Zayn?" I demanded again and sighed. This time annoyed by his behavior.

He grinned. "So... wanna sit with me during lunch?" He asked.

I sighed. He isn't giving up any time soon. I smiled sweetly and shook my head.

"No, I'm sorry, I have somewhere else to be." He just nodded and looked down.

"How about t'morrow?" he asked hopefully as my frown deepened.

Didn't this boy get the message?

I shook my head and opened my mouth to speak but was cut off by him.

"Oh come on Blaire, don't be a party pooper" I frowned.

"How do you know my name?" I probed.

"I-I-" He cleared his throat. "I-I just heard it when your friend called you in the hallway" He tensed out.

I rose my eyebrow. "Who?" I asked. "I don't think anyone called me. You see, I don't have my friends here" I stated as I shrugged my shoulders.

My conscience chuckled. Who am I kidding? I don't have a single friend in school.

He cleared his throat. "Um... It must be the teacher." He corrected. "Yeah... I heard it when she called you" he nodded slowly as if he had just agreed to the answer of my question.

I rose my eyebrow. "You do realize we have Mr. Sullivan for homeroom and he is a he" I corrected.

He chuckled nervously. "Yeah. Yeah. I'm just a little messed up" He smiled sweetly.

I rolled my eyes. "That, I know" I mumbled as i turned my head away.

"What?" Zayn Asked.

I shook my head and smiled sweetly. "Turn around. Mr. Sullivan is here" I informed as the teacher walked in.

He nodded and turned around not before throwing a wink at me over his shoulders.

I rolled my eyes.

"Alright class-" Mr. Sullivan began but was interrupted by someone opening the door with a slip and gave it to Mr. Sullivan.

He read the slip and frowned before he looked up "Um... Ms. Blaire Behdad, you are required in the principal's office" My face scrunched up in confusion. "Now" He added.

I nodded my head and picked up my things.I proceeded to walk out of the room, to the office.

I knocked the door. "Come in" A sturdy voice said.

I pushed open the door and found the principal looking at me with a stern expression.

I scowled when I saw the backside of a man, facing me, who sat in front of Mr. Stuart, the principal.

The man turned around. A gasp left my lips as I stared at him.

"A-Adham?" I called out farfetched. He smirked and stood up.

"What are you doing here?" I crossed my arms over my chest.

"You have somewhere to be." He notified. I rose my eyebrow.

"I do?" I asked. He turned around and spared a glance at Mr. Stuart and cleared his throat.

"It is the best if we leave as soon as possible." He stated. I rolled my eyes and nodded.

We both walked out of the office as I glared at the ground in pure rage.

I thought he won't be here until a week according to what he said. I really didn't appreciate being around him. I was really looking forward to this week to have alone time with Calvin and Sean and go out or something.

I sighed.

I was really disappointed than angry. Not only did he come back early but is taking me somewhere to god knows where.

I snapped out of my thoughts when footsteps echoed in the hallway. My eyes met Zayn's hasty pair. He was sprinting towards the door as if he was to be somewhere.

I narrowed my eyes at him.

Where the hell is he going during school hours?

I shrugged. Well, that's none of my business.

After a couple more of durable steps we were in Adham's car as I sat in the backseat as he turned on the ignition.

I rose my eyebrow.

This is new. He never drives. He always has people do stuff for him. I have always seen him travel with a driver. His drivers are only excused if he has somewhere highly confidential to be and does not trust anyone with that.

If that's the case, then this is gotta be serious.

Alright... WHERE THE FUCK IS HE TAKING ME?!

My body jerked to the front when the car came to a halt. I frowned when I noticed that we were already there.

I perked up and looked out of the window to see an isolated place. A sandy hue of a meadow with an abandoned creepy little house in the middle of it.

I tilted my head as I observed it.

The sullied exterior had mosses and ferns frowning all over it revealing its swampy atmosphere. The disturbing smell of the site lingered below my nose as I cringed in disgust.

"Come on" Adham ordered as he turned off the ignition and opened the door to his car-side and proceeded to walked towards the site. I huffed and followed him as he took the worn outdoor on the side of the house instead of the main door.

We walked along the narrow pathway in broad daylight as the sun glared at the top of my head as the composed breeze fought against it to cool down the atmosphere.

We came to a halt when we reached a door at the side of the house.

Adham dug his hands into his pocket and fished out a key and open to the door.

The door opened with a creaky noise as we stepped inside the building. Adham turned his head to the side and faced another door.

How many more doors are we going to go through!?

He repeated his previous actions and opened the door revealing a staircase.

We proceeded to walk down and within a few steps, we were facing another door.

I narrowed my eyes at it.

He opened the door and that's when bright light blinded my vision as my hands rose to my face defensively.

I peeked my eyes open to find a couple of grinning men staring right back at us.

"We meet again Behdads" Marshall Mehsouf greeted us along with his men.
