NYADA
Kurt and Blaine have only been dating for 1 month but now Kurt has received his NYADA acceptance letter and Blaine isn't too happy about it...
Kurt sighed as he traced over the letters on the piece of paper in his hands. He'd made it. He was going to New York and to the school of his dreams.
His friends had been happy for him. Mercedes and Tina had cried a bit, not wanting him to leave but the choir room was mostly filled with excitement.
Now that they'd all settled down and Mr. Schue had arrived, Kurt was left to himself and his thoughts.
He was proud of himself, he'd made the decision to change his performance song last minute and it turned out incredible. Not The Boy Next Door was very out there and Kurt knew he'd be taking a big risk but he decided he didn't have anything to lose.
It was Blaine that he was worried about. He didn't want to leave the boy. They'd only been dating for a month and were still figuring things out but he knew that what they had was something special. He didn't want to leave Blaine but he was going to have to. Kurt had phoned Blaine the second he'd found out he got in and Blaine was happy and so proud of him but Kurt could tell just from his voice that the boy was slightly disappointed. Disappointed that they'd have to be separated, disappointed at not being able to see each other every day.
Glee club was completely forgotten by Kurt until they were dismissed. He shouldered his bag and walked down the halls, really taking everything in. The lockers, the flickering lights, the cracked windows. He was really going to miss it. Despite it being the worst years of his life, McKinley had changed him for the better. It made him stronger and braver, prouder of who he was and who he was to become.
Mercedes pushed the entrance doors open and everyone filed out, Kurt being the last.
Kurt almost knocked Rachel over when everyone stopped without him knowing. He looked up to see what the hold up was and a smile immediately covered his face when he saw a raven-haired boy stood in front of them, clad in the Dalton Academy uniform.
"Blaine?" He called as he pushed a couple of his friends out of his way to weave his way toward his boyfriend.
Blaine's eyes widened and he stepped forward quickly, coming to a halt in front of Kurt when he stepped off the last step.
"What're you-" Kurt's words died in his throat and were replaced by a surprised shriek when a pair of arms had wrapped themselves around his waist and hoisted him up into the air.
Blaine was laughing and spinning them around, Kurt looking down at him with a slightly confused grin, "You got in!"
Kurt's confusion melted away when Blaine let him slide down his body and tilted his head forward so their foreheads were touching, his arms still wrapped firmly around Kurt's waist.
Kurt smiled and looked down where the envelope was crushed between their bodies, "I got in."
Blaine chuckled quietly, "Can I read it."
Kurt nodded and wordlessly opened the envelope, handing Blaine the letter and allowing the boy to read through it. It should have been awkward for the two boys as Blaine rested the piece of paper against Kurt's chest and tilted his head down to read it, his hair tickling Kurt's temple as he did so. But it wasn't awkward at all because they had become so accustomed to one another that it was completely natural for them to just stand like this or do things practically as if they were one being.
"You're amazing." Blaine laughed a minute later once he'd read over everything and had pulled back to look Kurt in the eyes.
Kurt grinned and took the paper out of Blaine's hands to tuck it carefully back into the envelope.
"I'm going to miss you so much when you leave." Blaine sighed, Kurt looking up to place a hand on Blaine's cheek.
He pulled Blaine in to peck him quickly on the lips and sighed, "I'll miss you too. And- and it'll be hard but I believe we can get through it. Besides, it's only one more year before you graduate get into NYADA too."
"How can you be so sure?"
"Because you, Blaine Anderson, are talent. You don't have talent, you just are talent. Every fibre of your body has some kind of talent and is dedicated towards doing what you love."
Blaine smiled sadly, still looking down at the ground., "Don't go."
Kurt's face dropped into a frown, "What?"
"Don't leave me. I can't- I can't be without you. I'll- I'll probably die the second you get on the plane."
Kurt rolled his eyes and stepped forward to take Blaine's hands in his, "Stop being such a drama queen."
"I'm not. I generally need you to live."
"If you need me to live then what have you been doing for the whole of your life when I wasn't in it?"
"Surviving." Blaine muttered, now averting his gaze to their linked hands, "Just surviving. Not living."
Kurt sighed and brought one of Blaine's hands up to his lips, pressing a delicate kiss there as Blaine finally met his eyes, "Blaine, we've only been dating for a month now and I already feel like I could tell you anything, like I could trust you with my life. I've only known you for about 5 months but it feels like I've known you for my whole life and more. We're- we're meant to be together, Blaine. And I don't think a few miles is going to come between us."
"590 miles." Blaine whispered and Kurt rolled his eyes.
"Anyway, Blaine, as much as I really don't want to leave you, I'm going to." Kurt paused, "Well, I'm not leaving you. I'm leaving Lima, yeah? I'm going to New York but I'm not leaving you."
"You're leaving me behind."
"Nuh-uh." Kurt shook his head, "You're staying here while I go to New York. For a year. Literally, only a year and then we can see each other everyday."
"We've only been dating for a month and we're not going to see each other for a year." Blaine pouted.
Kurt laughed.
"So, we're gonna be okay?" Blaine smiled hesitantly.
"We'll be okay." Kurt nodded.
Suddenly a loud sobbing noise erupted from behind Blaine and Kurt's eyes widened, having previously forgotten about his friends being stood behind him.
And then he was engulfed by several pairs of arms, "I don't want you to go either, Kurtie!"
Kurt pulled back to identify the girl's as Tina, Mercedes and Brittany before laughing and hugging them all.
"Who the hell is this guy, Kurt?" Finn jogged down the stairs and stopped just in front of the boy who cowered beneath his glare, feeling even smaller than usual.
"This," Kurt removed the girls' arms from around him and move to wrap his own arm around Blaine's waist, "is Blaine; my boyfriend."
Ugggggggggggg
I actually think this was alright... if only it was about Blaine meeting ND instead of fluff blangst shit whatever this is...
Seriously, this is meant to be about ND's reaction to Blaine but this has little to no reaction... but my next chapter is my own idea (for once, geez) so I know for a fact that I'll be including ND reacting to Kurt's loverrrrr
