Famous

Blaine and Kurt have been dating for a little over 4 years but still haven't told the New Directions or Burt. Blaine is a famous singer and Kurt is a Broadway actor. How will Burt and the New Directions react?

"Okay, so it should just be my dad, don't worry an-"

"Don't worry?" Blaine repeated, "It's your dad! How do you think he's going to react when we tell him that we've been dating for about 4 years and we're living together? I don't think it'll go down very well. What if he murders me, Kurt? I know I'm not that famous but people will notice if I'm gone-"

"Okay, first of all. Calm down! He's not gonna murder you and second, you're, like, the most popular singer in the whole world." Kurt paused before continuing when Blaine opened his mouth to speak, "Don't try to deny it."

"Damn, you know me way to well."

"I'm so sorry."

"You should be."

"Shut up." Kurt laughed, "Let's just go inside."

"Fine." Blaine pouted before following Kurt through the front door.

"Kurt Hummel!" Burt yelled, a wide grin splitting across his face, "Where have you been for these past 2 years?"

"Umm, working?"

"You don't sound too sure." Burt narrowed his yes, still not noticing a very nervous Blaine stood just behind Kurt, "And surely you could've taken some time off work to come visit your old man?"

"Sorry, dad." Kurt smiled before pulling the man into a hug, "I've missed you."

"I've missed you too, son. But can I ask one thing?" Burt paused, only continuing when Kurt pulled back to frown at him, "Why is that kid Finn's obsessed with stood in our hallway?"

"Finn's obsessed with Blaine Anderson?" Kurt laughed loudly when Burt nodded, "That's outstanding!" Kurt turned to his boyfriend with a smirk on his face, "You'll have to do a performance for him sometime, babe"

"Babe?" Burt repeatedly in a low voice, a glare already set on Blaine.

"Yes, dad. Blaine is my boyfriend." Kurt sighed.

"For how long?"

"4, uh, 4 years."

"4 years?" Burt shrieked and strode over to Blaine in two quick strides "What do you want from him? To get in his pants?"

"With all due respect, sir. Kurt and I have been together for 4 years now. Surely you'd have enough common sense to at least assume that I've already gotten in Kurt's pants? Many times."

"Blaine!" Kurt squeaked, "You can't say that! That's my dad!"

"Sorry." Blaine whispered, still occupied with forcing himself not to look away from Burt's eyes. He couldn't seem weak.

"So, you've already been, umm, intimate with my son. What're you doing with him?"

"The way you just said that made it seem like you have no hope for Kurt to ever be in a real relationship." Blaine narrowed his eyes at the man.

"I have lots of hope for Kurt t-"

"Doesn't seem like it."

"Well, I do and the relationship I want him to have won't be with you."

"Wait, what?"

"I won't allow you to date my son."

"Dad!-"

"Not now, Kurt."

"You can't stop Kurt from dating me! He's 27 now! He's an adult! He can make his own choices!"

"Not when it comes to dating, he can't."

"Look sir. I understand that I probably didn't give you a very good first impression of myself but I couldn't help it. It seemed like you were insulting Kurt and I won't stand by and watch my boyfriend get insulted. I love Kurt. But, I'll be honest;  I think Kurt deserves much better than me. But he won't leave me. Ever since we met, I knew Kurt was special. That the way we laugh and talk around each other was different to everybody else. That I will never trust anyone or meet anyone like him. And I think most people spend their whole lives searching for what I've already found with Kurt. He makes me complete. He makes me smile when I have no reason to be happy. When everything in my life is going wrong, I just go to him and he makes it all better. I love him so much, I didn't even know what love was until I met Kurt and now look where I am. I'm a popular singer and all of my songs are love songs. They're all based around Kurt. Kurt is love to me. And I know I'm getting really sappy but I can't stop and I tend to ramble a lot when I get myself into awkward situations so will someone please stop me. I jus-"

"Blaine." Kurt rested a hand on Blaine's lower arm, "That was a beautiful speech, baby. But you really need to stop. You've made my dad cry."

And sure enough Burt let out a quiet sob as tears filled his eyes.

"Mr. Hummel? You okay?"

"Its just- I- I've always wanted Kurt to find someone who loves him as much as you do." Burt wiped his eyes before pulling both men into a bear hug "Kurt, I'm proud of you son. And Blaine thank you."

"Kurt!"

Kurt froze and turned slowly to see Finn rushing towards him. This wouldn't end well.

"What're you doing here? I thought you weren't comi-" Finn froze as he took in the man holding Kurt's hand, "What is Blaine Anderson doing here?"

"I- I-" Kurt sighed, "I'm dating him Finn."

"You're what?" Finn shrieked, his eyes nearly bulging out of his head "Dude! That's so cool! Come with me."

Before anyone could comprehend what was happening, Blaine had been grabbed by the arm by Finn and pulled into the living room where all of the New Directions where sitting.

"Is that Blaine Anderson?" Rachel shrieked, jumping off of the sofa she was sat on and immediately ran to the startled man, "I'm a huge fan of your work."

"Th- thanks?"

"Finn, what're yo-" Kurt walked into the room.

"Kurt!" Mercedes cried before enveloping the man in a hug, "I've missed you!"

"Kurt is dating Blaine Anderson guys!" Finn yelled as he stood on the coffee table.

"What?" Puck yelled "No way! That's not fair!"

Puck turned bright red when everyone turned to frown at him, "I- I mean it's not fair because now, umm, now he might not be out in public a lot."

"We've been dating for 4 years, Noah." Kurt sighed as he fell into one of the love seats around the room, "That never stopped him from being out in public."

"Dude! 4 years?" Finn shrieked, "Why did you never tell me?"

"I'm not sure, I guess I jus-"

"You have to sing for us!" Quinn grinned.

"Umm, I don't have anything prepared." Blaine laughed awkwardly as he took a seat next to Kurt.

"Just make something up." Mike smiled.

"Yeah, I heard that you can make really good songs on the spot. With no rehearsal or anything." Artie sighed dreamily.

"Where'd you hear that?"

"In your interview with Ellen." Tina spoke, "You said that you could make up a song for Ellen right there. And it was amazing!"

"But, uh, I don't even have my guitar with me or anything."

"Your guitar is in the car." Kurt smirked and patted Blaine's knee as he stood up, "I'll just go get it."

"Kurt." Blaine groaned as his boyfriend walked into the room, "Why?"

"Why what?" Kurt asked, feigning innocence, "I just wanted to hear you sing a song."

"I hate you." Blaine huffed as he took his guitar from Kurt.

"Love you too, baby." Kurt laughed.

"So, I'll attempt to make this song up on the spot." Blaine sighed as he took his guitar out of it's case, "But it'll be about Kurt because that's what most of my songs are about."

Kurt rolled his eyes as his friends all 'aww'ed together.

"So, uh, you'll have to forgive me if this is bad." Blaine frowned as he tried to find a good beat on his guitar, "Okay, here goes."

My life is a...

Blaine paused trying to think of what to sing.

series of actors changing places,
except there's no back stage
and there's no place for me.

It's okay though,
the jokes on the television
make me laugh, remind me that it's okay
not to have a backstage door or place to hide.

'What the hell is this?' Blaine groaned internally.

Well I've got dinner on my plate,
got my paycheck yesterday.
How great, how cool.
I've got places, I've got Friends,
I've got Joey, Ross, and Chandler, then...
there's you.

'Friends? Really, Blaine?' Blaine hated his self conscience sometimes.

And now, how, we like to say that we're in love,
doesn't it, seem like that should be enough,
but, the world will roll their eyes but I still think,

Blaine paused as he looked up and met Kurt's eyes

well I still think that we're in love.

Blaine played a couple of chords for a while before going back into his previous beat and thought of what else he could sing about.

Oh, shoes and jackets,
purses and tennis rackets,
make their way as they please,
in those SUVs to the country club.

'What does that have to do with anything?' Blaine couldn't help but blush.

I don't play much,
but I do enjoy having the ball in my court,
and what's more,
I like playing, for love.

But I've got arms and you've got legs,
together we've made some mistakes.
But hey, we're doing well!

Well I've got reason to believe,
in the power of you and me to break,
this spell.

'Okay, back to the chorus, Blaine.'

And now, how, we like to say that we're in love,
doesn't it, seem like that should be enough,
but, the world will roll their eyes but I still think,
well I still think that we're in love.

Blaine paused for a moment, the whole room suddenly completely silent, before he started playing his guitar again.

One more question:
how is this one big lesson?
I don't think that there's a quiz,
but if there is I'll be, outside;
playing in the yard,
swinging on monkey bars,
exercising my life to this recess from this lesson
that I tried, oh

But I've got arms and you've got legs,
together we've made some mistakes.
But hey, we're doing well!

Well I've got reason, to believe,
in the power of you and me to break,
this spell.

And now, how, we like to say that we're in love,
doesn't it, seem like that should be enough,
but, the world will roll their eyes but I still think,
well I still think that we're in love.
well I still think that we're in love, love, love.
well I still think that we're in love.
Ooh..

Blaine whistled while he finished the set of chords he was playing.

Kurt grinned and skipped to Blaine, who was sat on the coffee table in the middle of the room, and pressed his lips to the other man's.

Kurt could feel Blaine smiling beneath his lips as he wrapped his arms around Blaine's neck.

"Marry me." Blaine whispered against Kurt's lips.

"What?" Kurt pulled away from Blaine to stare at his boyfriend in shock.

"I- fuck." Blaine rubbed a hand across his face "I'm so sorry. I had this whole idea to serenade you on the roof of our apartment and have roses and everything but now I've fucked it up. Geez, I'm a douche."

Kurt stood completely still as he continued to stare at Blaine.

"I- look, Kurt. I love you. And I wanna spend my life with you. I don't care if we're married or not. I just- I need you in my life and I- I'm just gonna shut up because I'm probably just making a fool of myself. So, Kurt Hummel, will you marry me?"

Kurt stared down at Blaine who had dropped onto his knee.

"I have a ring at home, by the way." Blaine whispered and winked, causing Kurt to giggle quietly.

"Please say something." Blaine whimpered as he watched Kurt's face for any signs of rejection.

But then Kurt was attacking him... With his lips.

"So, I'll take that as a yes?" Blaine grinned as Kurt nodded and brought Blaine back into a kiss.

"Holy shit!" Finn yelled, "My brother just got engaged to Blaine Anderson!"

"Aww, my white boy grew up." Mercedes sighed.

"I expect to at least get a wedding invite." Burt raised and eyebrow from his place in the doorway.

"Sorry dad." Kurt smiled bashfully before nuzzling his face into fiance's chest.

Well that was long
