Broadway

It's 6 years later and Kurt is a famous Broadway actor, Blaine is his husband. The New Directions still don't know but maybe they'll find out when they go to one of Kurt's performances?

Kurt bowed dramatically, grinning when the audience simply screamed and applauded louder. He'd never get tired of that.

Kurt had to fight the urge to roll his eyes when he heard his husband. He was always the person screaming the loudest and was always the first on his feet. He never missed a show and Kurt loved him for that, among other things of course.

-_-_-

"Kurt!" Blaine screamed, grinning as he jumped up and down, clapping his hands together,"I love you!"

Blaine laughed and turned to a big group of people that he'd never met and yelled, "That's my husband up there!"

They all seemed to share the exact same facial expressions. Wide eyes, mouth agape. Blaine would've laughed but as he turned back to the stage he noticed Kurt walking off so Blaine quickly jumped out of his seat and rushed to get backstage.

"Who the hell was that?" Finn shrieked, "Kurt isn't married! Wait. He isn't, is he."

"No Finn." Mercedes snapped, "He's not."

"But maybe he is?" Tina cowered away from Mercedes threatening glare, "I-I mean- well, we haven't seen him in, like, 5 years. A lot can happen in that time."

"Well, let's go find out." Mercedes huffed before storming towards the door Kurt's 'husband' had exited through.

"Excuse me, miss. But this is-"

"Oh hell no." Mercedes interrupted the body guard who had put a hand on her shoulder, "Don't you tell me we're not allowed through here. We just watched some other guy go through. I'm assuming this is the way to go backstage?"

"Yes, ma'am. But the man who walked through this door has been granted special access by Mr. Hummel." The bald-headed man smiled politely.

"And why the hell did he do that?"

"That man is his husband." A taller, more aggressive bodyguard butt in, "Now, unless you're Mr. Hummel's husband, I suggest you run along and go home. The show's over."

"But we know Kurt! We're his friends. We were in the same glee club as him."

"Hey, Andrew. Do you know if-" The New Directions watched as the 'husband' walked through the door and stood still when he noticed them, "Are you the New Directions?"

"Wha-" Mercedes frowned.

"Yes, yes we are- or were." Quinn smiled.

"Oh, then come in." The man turned and skipped away, only noticing that the group of people weren't following him when he was halfway down the hall. So, he ran back to the door and rolled his eyes, "Andrew, let them through."

"I'm sorry, sir, I can't do that. They need to answer a couple of questions and I need to check their bags first."

"Ugh." Blaine groaned, "Do it quickly then."

10 minutes later the New Directions were finally allowed through by a very resistant Andrew.

"Kurt's been waiting for you." Blaine said cheerfully as they walked down the corridor, "He's missed you guys a lot. He doesn't stop talking about you, really. It's kinda annoying." He laughed before pushing a door open and holding it for everyone to walk through.

"Kurt!" Rachel squealed as soon as she noticed the countertenor who was perched on the end a small love seat.

"Hi Rachel." Kurt laughed as he stood up and let the girl run into his arms.

"Oh, I've missed you." She sighed before pulling back and holding onto his shoulders, "I have to congratulate you on an amazing performance. Your voice has only gotten better since I last saw you-"

"Alright, Berry, shut up and let me hug my boo." Mercedes intervened, shoving the girl away and wrapping her arms around Kurt's neck, "You were all kinds of hot up there, makes me wish I was your boyfriend."

Kurt laughed, "C'mon guys." He opened his arms wider, "Stop waiting you turn, this ain't how we used to do it." He paused for a second before yelling, "Group hug!"

And then he was surrounded, engulfed by his old friends. And he felt so happy, as if there was no longer anything missing. Except, there was.

"Oh yeah!" Kurt exclaimed and pushed the group off, laughing apologetically when Mike fell backwards onto the love seat with Sam on top of him.

Kurt grinned as he walked towards Blaine who was just stood by the closed door, observing how happy these people made his husband.

Kurt grabbed Blaine's hand and dragged him to the middle of the room, "This is Blaine, my husband."

"I knew it!" Tina shrieked, "I knew he wasn't lying!"

"Wait- what?" Kurt raised an eyebrow.

"I may have, accidentally, in my fit of excitement, mentioned that you were my husband." Blaine nodded guiltily.

Kurt laughed and kissed Blaine on the cheek before pulling him closer to his friends.

"Well, this is Blaine Anderson-Hummel." Kurt's smile grew impossibly wider.

"Wait, how come you aren't called Anderson-Hummel?" Artie frowned.

"What do you mean? Of course that's my last name."

"Well the bodyguard kept referring to you as 'Mr. Hummel'."

"Oh, yeah that's my stage name. I just- well, it'd be a bit annoying to announce me as Kurt Anderson-Hummel every time I come onto the stage."

Blaine gasped dramatically, "Well, if you didn't want that name then maybe you shouldn't have married me!"

"Hey, you're the one that proposed in a very public area which would make me look like a dick if I said no."

"Touché."

Kurt rolled his eyes before shoving Blaine's shoulder, "Dork."

"Nerd." Blaine stuck his tongue out.

"Geek." Kurt pursed his lips together.

Blaine laughed before leaning closer to Kurt and whispering something in his ear, something that the New Directions couldn't hear.

Kurt blushed slightly and shoved Blaine away before pulling him closer and kissing him chastely.

"Ahem." Mercedes coughed, "We're still here."

"Oh yeah! Sorry, we tend to get lost in the moment quite a lot."

"Lost in each other, more like." Quinn scoffed, "You guys are adorable!"
