Barole
Burt and Carole are getting married and because Kurt supposedly 'isn't dating anyone' he gets a +1 to bring to the wedding instead of a boyfriend.
-_-_-
"Hi, Kurt! Who is this?" Burt greeted Kurt and a raven haired boy who just arrived at his house.
"This is Blaine, he's my +1 for your wedding, which is in, like, one hour! Why aren't you dressed dad? Come on, come on, hurry up!" Kurt shrieked.
"I'm going, I'm going, Blaine it was nice to meet you. Please keep my son sane for a while." Burt nodded in Blaine's direction.
"It was nice to meet you too Mr. Hummel. I will try keep Kurt sane... Although that is a bit of a tall order." Blaine laughed when Kurt slapped his chest.
"Ok boys. And please, call me Burt." Burt chuckled at the pair.
"Thanks B-Burt."
"See yah, kiddo." Burt ruffled Kurt's hair causing Kurt to scowl at him and squish his hair down.
"It looks fine Kurt, don't worry it always does." Blaine swatted
Kurt's hand away.
"Yeah whatever, come on let's go up to my room." Kurt grabbed Blaine's hand and dragged him upstairs.
-_-_-
In the car on the way to the wedding Burt's eyes kept flickering back to the two boys in the back seat who were laughing and sitting alarmingly close for just friends.
-_-_-
After the wedding everyone was sitting around on various different tables.
"So, you and Kurt are, like, best friends and nothing more?" Finn raised his eyebrow.
"Yup, just friends." Blaine smiled even though it killed him to say that they were no more than friends.
"But you're gay?" Sam furrowed his eyebrows.
"Yeah... So?" Blaine frowned.
"Well, it's just that uh, you two seem, like, really close and you two are both gay so it kinda looks like..." Finn trailed off.
"Right, well we are jus-"
"Hey, guys!" Kurt interrupted Blaine as he stood behind his chair at the table.
"Hey, Kurt." Blaine grinned and the other boys at the table chuckled at how his face lit up when he saw Kurt.
"What're you talking about?"
"How me and you are just friends. Right?" Blaine's smile never reached his eyes.
"Right..." Kurt glanced around the room. "Oh. My. God."
"What? Is something wrong, Kurtsie?" Tina said mockingly as she came up and looped an arm through Kurt's.
"Yeah, you ok, dolphin?" Brittany smirked as she hooked her arm through Kurt's unoccupied one.
"Don't make me do this guys please. My dads here as well." Kurt begged.
"You're dad has already witnessed it." Tina smiled innocently.
"Yeah and no one else has and they don't need to!" Kurt whined.
"Yeah, but maybe if you do it then you would be able to impress that hobbit boy that you've been making heart eyes at all night." Brittany replied seriously.
"Uh, haha. No." Kurt chuckled humourlessly as he blushed at Blaine who was frowning in curiosity.
"What do they want you to do? I'm confused." Blaine tilted his head.
"When we were younger Kurt, Brittany and I all did a dance to 'Single Ladies'" Tina shrugged.
"Oh dear. The song seems to have finished now. What a shame. How shall I ever embarrass myself now?" Kurt wiped a finger under his eye, pretending to wipe away a tear.
"That's okay, dolphin. I'll just go ask them to put it on again. Don't cry." Brittany said, worry dripping from her voice.
"No, no that's okay..." Kurt sighed as he finally gave in to Tina's pulls on his arm.
Kurt mouthed a 'sorry' in reply to his dad and Carole's confused faces.
Burt looked like he'd rather be anywhere but in this room right now as he heard the opening to 'Single Ladies' start playing.
Kurt sighed and started dancing his very embarrassing dance and made sure to make no eye contact with anyone.
When the song was finished everyone was laughing and clapping and Kurt spun around, glaring at the two girls.
"I'm gonna get you for that." He growled.
"We'll be waiting." Tina chuckled.
Kurt huffed and turned around to plop himself down into his chair at the table he was previously sat at, keeping his head down as everyone kept laughing.
"Kurt, I think you broke your boy toy." Puck chuckled.
"What?" Kurt looked up, puzzled.
The boys all just nodded toward Blaine who was staring at Kurt, his mouth hanging wide open.
"Umm, Blaine? Hello? Earth to Blaine. Blaine?" Kurt waved a hand in front of Blaine's face causing him to shake out of his frozen state.
"Umm. I'm, uh, p-perfectly, uh, fine." Blaine's pupils were wide and filled with lust as he stared at Kurt's lips.
"Mhmm. You sure?" Kurt so badly wanted to lean in and attack that mouth, but he couldn't.
Everyone who had witnessed the exchange laughed as the two boys stared into each other's lust blown eyes.
-_-_-
About an hour later and the embarrassment had worn off of Kurt. Well, most of it.
Neither Kurt nor Blaine had danced since the experience and they had both been sat in deep conversation for the majority of the night.
When 'Teenage Dream' came on, everyone who was dancing went back to their seats as this wasn't exactly a 'dancing song' as they had all said.
Suddenly Kurt and Blaine jumped up, laughing and moved to the dance floor where they both stood next to each other and dance some sort of choreography.
When the song was almost finished they both stopped dancing their choreography and started dancing close to each other, laughing and shimmying against one another, it was obvious that they were both used to being so close.
When the song had finished they both made their way back to their table, laughing and brushing shoulders the whole way.
Everyone in the room kept staring at the pair even when they sat down and Blaine started a conversation with Kurt, very quietly as they whispered in one another's ear.
Kurt whispered something to Blaine, causing the hazel eyed teen to burst out laughing and only when he had reached the end of his hysterical state did he finally realise that they were being watched by the entire party.
"Umm. Why is everyone watching us?" Blaine questioned mainly to Kurt but loud enough for everyone in the room to hear.
"I'm not too sure..." Kurt frowned looking around the room, when he stood up he asked, "What's are you all staring at?"
"You two." Rachel shouted from her seat.
"What about us?" Kurt frowned.
"You sure you're just friends?" Mike shouted from a corner.
"I never said that. Who told you that?" Kurt raised an eyebrow at a guilty looking Blaine.
"Umm, him." Sam, who was sat next to him, poked Blaine.
"Uh, why?" Kurt frowned.
Blaine simply stood up and whispered something in Kurt's ear.
"Oh! No, I'm cool with it." Kurt shrugged.
Blaine simply mouthed an 'oh' in reply.
"Yeah, so forget what Blaine has told you, he is my boyfriend." Kurt shook his head.
Everyone cheered and applauded the pair.
"Why are you clapping?" Blaine frowned.
"Kurt's been lonely for ages and we're just glad that he's finally got someone. Or at least that's why I clapped." Mercedes shrugged.
After nods of agreement and 'yeahs' Kurt simply shrugged, sat back down, planted a kiss on Blaine's lips - causing a few wolf whistles - and shrugged.
"Okay."
And everyone laughed as they turned and continued their previous conversations and continued a very good party.
