The Shadow and The Light

There once was a Shadow. The Shadow was lonely and cold. It had no friends, so it wanted to join The Light and become Warm. It journeyed all the way to the Realm of Warmth and found The Light.

 The Shadow said to it, "Please, how do I become Warm? I am lonely, and Cold." 

The Light said, "Come here, I shall teach you how to be Warm." 

And so, The Shadow went with The Light to a gathering of Spirits. When the Spirits saw The Shadow, they all got nervous and started shouting at it. The Light told The Shadow to smile and ignore what they were saying about it. The Shadow did. 

One of the Spirits, the Spirit of Life,  saw what The Light was doing and joined in, making The Shadow feel welcomed. Over time, The Shadow began to loose its darkness, and soon became The One With The Light. 

For The One With The Light, it was amazing. For the Spirits, they noticed a problem. There was too much Light in the world now. It was beginning to blind them. The Light decided to speak to The One With The Light. It explained the dilemma and how the Spirits were loosing their vision. The One With The Light was upset, but it understood what it had to do. It became The Shadow again. It returned to the Land of the Cold. 

Back in the Realm of Warmth, The Light felt guilty at taking away The Shadow's short-lived Warmth. It spoke to the Spirits of Life and Death, asking for a solution. The Spirit of Death had an idea; to create a bond between the two. 

"It will be like the Spirit of Life and myself. Where one goes, the other shall follow. You two shall never be apart," it said. The Spirit of Life agreed. The two Spirits then raised their arms and summoned The Shadow to forge its bond with The Light.

Ever since then, The Light and The Shadow have remained together. Their bond has never faltered. Where one is, the other shall always be.
