Chapter 4: Paranoid Much?

No One's POV

The duo didn't expect to be interrupted. But when the gyachi girl approached them and their table, Kaden finally noticed the energy coming off her and proceeded to blink.

"Hi there! Do you guys go to the same school?"

She spoke with fake confidence, Kaden noted. The girl seemed nervous and not comfortable in the slightest. So why did she come up to them?

Her uniform was that of the girls uniform from their school, so she was an upper class-men.

'An upper class-men with psychic abilities~'

Kaden mentally smirk.

'But not the psychic Drago and me traced. Her one isn't as strong, but it's still quite impressive. Wait, she could be one of the faint energy signatures I've been sensing at school for a while now.'

Making up his mind, Kaden decided to respond.

"Hi!" He greeted with a chirpy voice "From the look of your uniform, you're from the same school as us~!" The ravenet smiled friendly at her, watching as the teen girls eyes seem to ease somewhat at the easygoing air around Kaden, but still seemed tense and squinty at him.

As she opened her mouth to respond to the ravenet—

"The hell do you want Bimbo?"

Aura glared at the willow haired girl, annoyed that his time with his food and the calming ravenet was interrupted.

The girl Eep-ed in fright at the hooded teens glare, taking a step back from the threatening boy.

"Chill Aura~ no need to freeze the girl where she stands with that frigid stare of yours~!"

Kaden waved at the irritated boy with a easy smile and relaxed posture. Leaning half of his body on the table in order to wave his hand within sight of the other boys vision.

Relived that the stare was no longer pointed against her, Aiura sighed in relief.

Aura glared back at the ravenet with a growl that would frightened even the bravest of grown men, but didn't do squat on the rat-tailed boy, who simply kept eye contact with a frozen wasteland that was Aura's eyes.

They stayed like this for a while until one finally broke it.

"Tch... The Bimbo would have deserved it for interrupting me and my cake."

The hooded teen broke eye contact from the other in a reluctant display of defeat.

"Hai, hai."

Kaden grinned, happy about winning the unsaid staring contest between them. Kaden looked to Aiura, starling her by the sudden place of attention.

"Sorry about my friend here Senpai, he doesn't take well to new people." The hooded teen huffed "But he's a softy at heart~!"

"Oi! What kind of bullsh*t is that!?" He protested, voice not going any louder then what was appropriate within the store.

The ravenet simply ignored him and continued to speak with the girl.

"But if you don't mind, we'd both like to finish our little treats here, so maybe we'll see you around k?"

If Aiura wasn't unprepared or possibly shaken by the mint haired boy, she would have been offended by the most politest brush off she had ever heard!

For real!

If the ravenet wasn't looking and sounding the way he did, those word would have pissed her off. But the way he did it was so nicely put, no one could be mad at him!

"A-alright, see ya..."

The Gachi girl smiled weakly before turning towards the exit door in what she hoped was a normal walking pace and not suspiciously what felt like a desperate run.

"You're way too soft."

"It's either that or have you get us kicked out of here for making a girl cry."

". . . Touché."

...~...~...~...~...~...~...~...~...~...~...~...~...

After finishing off their delicious desert and leaving the small cafe, Kaden decided they should walk around to sightsee.

"Why the hell are we doing this? And why do I have to come along with?"

"Because I'm still new here and you've been here for a short while as well, so it just seems logical that we both explore the town more and get familiar with it~!"

The shorter huffed before going along with the ravenet around the place looking at all the stores and places to visit.

"This is dumb."

"Then it's nothing new aye~!"

"Oi!"

"Hey look at that! Some girls from our class~!"

The ravenet made a critical retreat and headed towards a small group of girls he's chatting with.

While Kaden did use this excuse as a means of retreat, there was another reason for approaching the group.

...~...~...~...~...~...~ (From here Aura's out of the picture.) ~...~...~...~...~...~...

"Hey, are you guys alright?"

Kaden caught their attention, watching as they seemed to ease considerably at the knowledge of the ravenets presence.

"Kaden-kun/Craig-san!"

One of them seemed to jump and clutch onto Kaden's arm, making him slightly uncomfortable, but there seemed to be some real anxiety with the girls.

"What's wrong?" Was it just the ravenet or did it feel kinda cold suddenly? Like someone was glaring coldly at them?

'It's probably just Aura. Maybe he has something against girls?'

"We think we've got a stalker!" The one with a ponytail exclaimed, pulling Kaden from his train of thought. "We've been feeling like someone has been watching us since leaving school today."

A different girl spoke. "We don't know what to do. Greig-san can you help us please?"

Now that Kaden knew what was bothering them, he could actually sense their stalker nearby.

'Wait a second... this stalker... they're another psychic?' Kaden mentally made a face. 'They're not the senpai from before and they're power isn't that powerful to be the one I traced here...'

Making his decision, Kaden looked at the girls.

"Don't worry." He flashed them a bright encouraging smile "You girls are tough. If anything, it's the stalker that should be scared of you. All you have to do is aim right where it will hurt and I bet he'll regret ever trying~!"

The girl's stared.

No boy has ever said something like that before... Most of the time when they asked for a boys help, they'd always be boasting ~ or the like ~ and have them rely completely on their protection.

Because it was usually like that wasn't it?... the girl always being saved by the man?

But what Kaden said was different. He believes in them. Knows that they are not defenceless... believes that they can do things on their own. That they are just as capable as any boy.

Kaden all but blinked in confusion as the group of girls seemed to redden suddenly and with sparkles in their eyes.

"Umm..." the ravenet sweat dropped 'They can't be that frighten, are they?'

He completely mistaken's the girl's gaze of admiration and growing romantic interest for uncertainty. (The Oblivious Fool!! 😆)

"If you're really shaken by this, Aura and I could probably accompany you guys...?"

At the mention of the mint haired psycho, their red faces turned pale.

"NO! I-I mean... it's fine now, you're right! If there really is a stalker, we'll take your advice and hit them we're it hurts if they try anything!" The rest of them shared a fierce nod.

The boy smile in kind at them.

"That's the spirit~!"

The red on their faces returned.

...~...~...~...~...~...~...~...~...~...~...~...~...

Once he dealt and helped with the group of girls, Kaden turned around and mentally berated himself for neglecting Aura.

Truthfully, Kaden hadn't mean to do so, he had thought of just checking on what was wrong with the group of classmates and quickly returned back to the other after he cooled off.

When Kaden saw that their was no hooded teen, he sighed dejectedly before banging his head for a short bit as if punishing himself.

"I guess, I can apologise to him tomorrow. For the mean time, dealing with psychic stalker can preoccupy me now."

Kaden walked a short distance before finding the hiding place of the stalker who wasn't alone.

"Aura!" The ravenet cheered, heading for the hooded teen that stood in front of a purple haired guy wearing a bandanna. "I thought you left! Sorry for leaving you back there, I thought it'll be a short talk, but it ended up being longer."

"No need, it seemed like they were troubled so you helped them." He gave the taller a short glance, before looking back at the purple haired guy who seemed quite pale and sweaty.

"Hey are you the stalker that was following those girls before?" Kaden raised a brow, tilting his head as the older teen gulped, staring frightful at Kaden.

And before he could get another word in, the stalker bolted away.

"Wha—?"

"Looks like I'm not the only one who has people running on sight." The mint haired boy lips quirked into a light smirk.

"What the heck did I even do?!" Aura opened his mouth— "Pranks don't count!" And shut his mouth went.

"If anything, he said it wasn't you, but some dark spirit that surrounds you."

Kaden gave him a look before saying...

"What's up with everyone being so paranoid today?!"
