At Nigam's home,

The doorbell rang. Abhi went and opened the door to see Avneet and Jai standing there. He frowned. Avu looked at him. Seeing her, it was clear that she was nervous.

Avu (nervous): Good evening, Bhai!

Abhi: Good evening! Come inside.

Avu nodded, glancing at Jai, and both went inside to see Reem and Vaishu sitting in the small lawn outside their home. As it was cold and pleasant weather, cold breeze were passing them, making their hair fly in air. Reem and Vaishu looked up to see them standing there. Vaishu was sipping her coffee with Abhi while Reem was reading a book. Abhi came front behind.

Abhi (sitting behind): Come! Have a seat.

Avu: No, Bhai. Actually, I wanted to meet Siddharth. Can I?

Reem (stern voice while eyes on book): He is sleeping. The doctor said not to disturb him.

Avu looked down while Abhi signed, shaking his head.

Abhi: You can meet him, but try not to talk anything depressing.

Avu nodded and left signing Jai. Vaishu also signed Abhi while Abhi nodded.

Vaishu: Umm, Reemi, you are sitting here or coming with us inside?

Reem: No, bhabhi, I want some time alone.

Vaishu nodded. Abhi and Vaishu also went inside, leaving Jai and Reem. Jai stepped a little forward.

Jai (hesitated): Reemi!

Reem (with dangerous voice and eyes on book): My name is Reem.

Jai: Look, I wanted to talk to you.

Reem (standing up): But I don't want to.

She turned to leave but Jai held her wrist which made her more angry.

Reem (dangerous voice): Leave my hand.

Jai (cracky voice): Reemi, please! Don't ignore me like this. I-I know Rits did wrong, but what is my fault? I genuinely love you, yaar.

Reem froze at sudden confession but then faced him, composing herself.

Reem: What was my brother's fault then? He also didn't do anything. My brother also fell in love with your sister. (Cracky voice) when their love isn't successful. How will it be ours?

Jai was looking at her blankly. Reem paced close to him, decreasing the distance between them.

Reem (tears leaking her eyes): A wall is built between my two brothers, whom I loved most after my parents. How am I supposed to live happy with you when my brother isn't happy with your sister? I-I can't leave him alone.

Reem (turning and now her back facing Jai, wiping her tears): I'm sorry, I also had feelings for you but after all this there are many gaps between these 2 families and I can't be the reason of more gaps. I'm sorry!

Saying this, she walked inside, leaving Jai in a storm of thoughts. It was true that Jai wasn't at fault nor Reem was, but sometimes one clash is enough for two hearts to apart from each other.

Avneet knocked Siddharth's door, but no one responded. It was confirmed that he was sleeping. She slowly opened the door, and her eyes fell on Siddharth, who was sleeping on his bed. Her eyes teared up again, seeing him. She closed the door behind her and started walking towards him. She sat on her knees in front of him on the floor while he was sleeping on the bed. A smile came on her face, seeing him sleeping so peacefully. She didn't know when her hand went to his forehead and she started caressing his forehead and hair.

Avu: You know, I-I am so lucky that a generous person like you loved me but unlucky too because I-I lost you. I-I made a mistake, which I don't know will cost what?

She looked down as tears rolled down her eyes.

Avu (looking up at him, determined voice): I stood for my sister not knowing that she was the culprit but now, I will stand for you knowing that you are innocent and you don't deserve it.

Avu (cracky voice): But promise me, you will forgive me, please. I-I admit my every mistake, but I won't be able to live with this guilt. I-I want to spend my life with you now, without any fear. I-I promise I will always trust you, believe you no matter what. I-I won't repeat the same mistake again. I ignored you because of my adopted sister. I-I ruined everything because of her, but now I-I want to fix everything because I alao love you.

She wiped her tear with her left hand as right hand had Sidd's hand held in it. Suddenly, Sidd's face expressions changed. It was like he was getting a nightmare. Avneet looked at him to find him mumbling something.

Avu: Siddharth!

She leaned forward and heard what he said.

Sidd (in sleep): I don't know her. S-She is lying. I-I haven't done anything. A-Avneet, please help.

Hearing this, Avneet started sniffing while Sidd stopped mumbling and again slept. She quickly wiped her tears and again looked at him to find him opening his eyes. She got attentive. She didn't know what to do now. In short, she got nervous. He slowly opened his eyes to see Avneet sitting beside him. He wondered if he was hallucinating her. He slowly moved his hand and brushed his hand against her cheek, which left her stunned. No words came out of her mind. That's when he spoke.

Sidd: I wish it could be real. I wish you could be with me. I always wished to see you by my side and now see my wish came true. I wanted this moment for a long time. I wish we could stay like this.

She was just a statue, listening to him carefully and feeling guilty. He got up and sat on his bed, leaning towards Avneet. Her heartbeat bounced as he leaned forward. She couldn't progress anything happening, but at one corner of her heart, she was enjoying it too.

Sidd: You are so beautiful, and pretty.

Avneet blushed and looked down. That's when her phone rang, which made Siddharth suddenly realize that it wasn't his dream but reality. He backed off while Avneet dragged her phone, attending the call.

Avu (on call): Hello? What? How is it possible? I'm coming!

She declined the call and again looked at Sidd to see him shocked. He created a major distance between them.

Sidd (realizing that she is present, stammering): W-What are you doing here?

Avu looked at him, not knowing what to say. Sidd again looked at her and again repeated.

Sidd (a little loud): What are you doing here?

Avu (coming out of her thoughts, stammering): I-I came to see you.

Sidd (looking at her): Why? What am I to you?

Avu: Siddharth.....

Sidd (cuts her): I don't know how you came here in my room but please leave from here.

Avu (exhaling sharply): Nature has taken your revenge. Rits lost her baby.

Sidd was shocked hearing it but pretended as it doesn't matter him.

Sidd (looking away): What can I do?

Avu (holding his hand): Sidd, I know I did mistake. I believed everything Ritika told me and didn't bothered to investigate. It was my fault then why are you punishing yourself?

Sidd (looking at her, cracky, low voice): Because my love wasn't pure. That's why, you didn't trusted me nor gave me any chance. This is my fault.

Avu looked down as a tear fell from her eye. Sidd again looked away dragging his hand out of her grip. She looked up at him as he did it.

Sidd (in low voice): Please go from here. I can't tell you what I am feeling. So, kindly leave me alone please.

Avu didn't said another word and stood up. She dragged her purse and turned to the other side but then remembered something. She again turned towards Sidd, facing him.

Avu (wiping her tears): Take care of yourself. I would like to see you healthy when I meet you next time. Although I don't have any right on you, then also you shouldn't give punishment to yourself. I should be the one to give punishment to myself and I'm s-sorry. You were alone all the time and I-I wasn't there.

Her words attacked his heart directly that tears fell from his eyes but he didn't look at her.

Avu (looking down): Take care of yourself.

Saying this she left the room, leaving Siddharth in tears. Sometimes, situations fly out of our hands no matter how much we try to catch it. Same was the case with them.
