Brrrrr! The school bell rang for assembly. I walked to the Main Hall. Today something special was happening. I sat down in my seat at the back.
"Hello students". Mr Howells, the headteacher said from the stage.
"Today I am assembling you for a special reason. We have special guests today. Someone is taking these people home with them as they are staying in this town for a bit of time. Guests please come out."
Five men I recognized came out. They were Jake Pitts, Jinxx, Ashley Purdy, CC and Andy Biersack. My heart skipped a beat when I saw Andy. The hall was full of screams. I knew that I would never get close to them. Andy cleared his throat. "Hi there. I'm Andy Biersack". Someone screamed.
"OK. We are here to live like teenagers again. Go to school, do homework and take tests". He gestured for Jinxx to talk.
"OK. Now one of you is going to be taking us home and we'll be staying with you. If you are the one, you will be taken out of lessons to make rules for us and for us to get to know each other". I sighed as Mr. Howell gave Jake a brown envelope which had the name of the person in.
"And now". Jake said."The person who will be our guide slash host is..". There was a drum roll. "AMITY OAKES!" The room was silent. "Amity. If you are here please stand up and come to the stage!" I was in shock... Me..
I got up off my chair and started walking up to the stage. The whole schools eyes were on me, the outcast. People were muttering things. I walked up to the stage and climbed the oak steps. I stood by them. "Now students. Back to class". Mr Howell commanded. Everyone left sighing to themselves. I was super quiet this entire time. After every student left Mr Howell cleared his throat. "Now. Amity. You are going to be in the library for two lessons talking to these people and getting to know them. There will be refreshments and I am glad they picked you. You can use the stairs that staff and sixth formers use". I nodded.
I jumped off the stage and grabbed my bag from where I was sitting. The band followed. I walked out of the hall turned right to the stairs. I ascended the stairs, turned left and ascended more stairs. I turned right and walked into the library. In the back left corner there was a bunch of comfy chairs and a table of refreshments. I headed over there and sat in the chair closest to the corner. The band grabbed drinks and followed. "Hey there. I'm CC by the way". The guy with the crazy smile said.He put out his hand. I cautiously took it and shook it. "I know". I said shyly. "You know our band?" Jinxx said. I nodded. "That's awesome. Mind if we ask you some questions?" Ashley said. "OK". I replied. "Fave bands?" Jake said. "You guys, Falling In Reverse, Sleeping With Sirens, Green Day, Pierce The Veil, Bring Me The Horizon, All Time Low, Foo Fighters, Nirvana and Biffy Clyro". They grinned apart from Andy. "Andy. Lighten up for god's sake. You're being a depressing bitch". CC said. "Sorry CC. I just want this to be over with so we can go on tour". Andy replied
"You're telling me that you'd rather be on tour then being in one place so you can relax and stuff with this awesome chick! We've only asked one question yet I think she's a legend!" I blushed. "Awww look she's blushing! That's so cute!" said Jake. "Can I ask a question?" Jinxx said. I nodded. "Do you play instruments? If so, what's your favorite song to play?" I replied. "I play piano badly. I also sing. My fave song to play is Ingenue by Thom Yorke". Jinxx smiled. "That is my fave song!" I grinned. "CC. I'll ask a question". Andy said just as CC was about to ask me one. Andy looked at me. "OK. Amity, isn't it?" I nodded, timidly. "Why do you listen to music? Why us? What does it mean to you?" I knew the answer to this. "I listen to music because it takes me somewhere I can be me. I can be free. No one horrible to me. No assholes. No one. Just me. I listen to you because you guys are an amazing band but it's not just that. You're lyrics are inspirational and life saving. They have saved many people's lives. The music connects with me. Tells me that it's OK to be an outcast". Andy smiled, realized what he was doing, then shook it away. "You are well spoken. I like that in a person". We talked some more then came up with rules. Andy wasn't allowed to smoke in class. Ashley wasn't allowed to flirt. CC had to remain calm in class. Jinxx wasn't allowed to correct the teacher and Jake wasn't gonna tap in class. Also there was a no alcohol rule set in place. Brrr the bell rung for break. We had been in there for 2 hours. I was with my saviors.
