*NOTES, This is an AU, I've had in mind for a while now. This is just for fun and is full of my headcanons, thoughts, OCs and personal views of STEVEN UNIVERSE. If you're searching for something, not this, then I ask of you or anyone else to leave this story alone with your horrible issues that you seem to want to spread to others!

Another thing, I do not own Steven Universe at all! Everyone cannon to it belongs to the rightful owner of Rebecca Sugar, as I only owned the Au idea mostly, the Original Characters and the story plot!

Another thing, I will accept feedback for this as it grows, although be specific and explain as best you can make it out to be.

Steven View

'Cobra's back! And he's awake and not sleeping and he can talk and isn't sleep and he's trying to stay away!'

"Cobra! I've made something for you!" I said as a lump of blankets moved, grey hair not being hiding anymore." Come on!!!!!!!!!!! Wake up!!!!!!!!"

"mp." Cobra said, rolling over and pulling the blankets over his head which I pulled back." COBRA!!!!!!! COME ON! I WANT YOU TO HAVE SOMETHING!"

"Whar?" He said, confused as the blankets came off which I pulled off." You made something for me?"

He asked, sounding surprised but was smiling quickly." Yeah! It's some breakfast I'm sure you can eat and not being bothered by sensitivity!"

I said, smiling back to his smile and he got up for it!' He's up and doing something and not sleeping or staring off in space and mumbling and not blushing over someone he crushes on!'

"Thank you, Steven, I'll eat it now," Cobra said, yawning.

"Yay! It's maybe a bit late now but it's never too late to eat something as good as breakfast!" I said, smiling and going to grab the food but Cobra was already there, mist and shadows forming for a moment before going away.

He was already eating the food I made, chewing on it.

Amethyst sneaks it to steal food but stop when she spots Cobra." Hello, Amethyst. .. . We need to talk later."

She looked a bit pale but nodded and I came to hug him.

"Cobra!!! I want to tell you something!" I said.

"Which is?" He asked and I started to tell it, Amethyst sat down to listen too.

Earlier, No One View.

"So thirty. . ." Steven said, dragging himself against the hot sandy ground that was the desert." So thirty.... water..."

"Steven, we've been here for a little while," Amethyst said as Garnet looked straight ahead.

"All we have to find the Gem causing this desert aimless and near unnavigable." She stated

"It's building columns without roofs, stairs that lead to nowhere, statues that have no meaning, distorted buildings!" Pearl exclaimed.

"It's out of control!" She said, waving her arms one having a spear around the desert which shows chaos as random buildings and other architecture are seen.

"Yep, chaos," Amethys said sarcastically before jumping over Pearl and Steven.

"That's unnecessary." She said, frowning.

Amethyst stuck out her tongue to Pearl, making it longer and blowing raspberries with Steven giggling and Garnet blankly staring.

"AMETHYST!" Pearl said, glaring at her who just rolled her eyes.

A distant but strong roar was heard in distance, sounding like a desperate animal or another thing entirely.

It bought Steven up from the sand and gripped the nearest Crystal Gem, which was Amethyst, hugging her tightly in fear and scared of the roar's source.

"What was that!" Steven said as Amethyst hugged him.

"Let's go." Someone said as they moved, with Steven falling behind the Crystal Gems more focused on finding the Gem causing the chaos.

"Hey! Wait!" Steven said, jogging to get close." What if something eats me!"

This draws the attention of the others." Nothing will eat you, Steven."

Garnet said, as they went to investigate something, knowing Steven would be safe.

A figure was following the Crystal Gems and waited for them to leave the youngest of them alone, it wanted Steven for an unknown reason and it got that chance.

" Wait, they left yoU!" Fellrex snarls interrupting the story and glares at Amethyst, temper growing by the second.

"Well, they knew I was alright!" Steven said, arguing back.

"Don't get your .... Hair or your butt flap things in a twist, Cobra!" Amethyst said, not sure what to call the cloth around Fellrex's wrist that hangs down.

Fellrex and Amethyst had a stare-off." How about we finish the story!"

Steven suggested and continue the flashback.

Back to the figure which was behind a column Steven was leaning upon, made itself known to Steven. Revealing itself to be a male pink lion which gently nudges Steven, making itself known to him.

The pink lion stood there, yawning and licking his lips before laying down near Steven." A LION!!"

He got ready to flee and retreat to the Crystal Gems but realizes the lion wasn't attacking Steven or making any advancements. He just lays down there, looking at Steven.

"You're a lion?" Steven said, eyes turning to stars from excitement and happiness." And you're not attacking me!"

He smiles and hugs the lion, the mane was soft to the touch." You're so soft! Like cotton candy or fluff!"

"Fluffy lion," Steven repeated, smiling." I've wanted an animal friend but the Gems don't understand the idea behind it, Cobra thinks animals are food and Amethyst just doesn't know how to care for them."

"Pearl would be obsessed with caring for it and get caught into it. While Garnet. . . . I'm not sure," Steven said thinking, scrunching up his face while he thought.

The lion nuzzles Steven, not being hostile at all. Merely calm and listening to the calming presence that was once his master but now her child who treats the pink Lion like a pet.

"I think you just wanted attention, I hope they.." He stops when an explosive of sand was there, where the Crystal Gems there with an. . .

"WHY IS THERE A THING SO NEAR STEVEN!" Pearl said, letting a shriek of panic and was about to . . .

"Wait, that isn't how it happens." Amethyst interrupts, chuckling.

"I'm sure it did!" Steven insisted." Dude, it didn't."

"Pearl doesn't shriek like that, hers is more like... Bird sounding and not as lizard-like." She explained

"Fine, we'll go with yours." Steven gave in while Fellrex was laying down, listening as well.

Back to flashback.

"Get your f. . " Pearl stopped as Amethyst was swinging the Gem around without a bubble around it, allowing it to escape if it tied hard enough which didn't sense a calming presence that sparks curiosity within it.

"Hey! I destroy its' form! I decide when to bubble it and how I'll bubble it!" Amethyst stuck out her tongue to Pearl before noticing the pink lion and Steven trying to put his head into the lion's mouth.

The lion kept his maw closed, not putting up with those actions and gets up." There's a lion,"

"In front of Steven! And no one isn't panicking?!" She said, shocked." Knew it! Everyone okay with that! Hah! Take that Pearl! Also, I won't bubble it!"

"Careful," Garnet said before looking at the lion.

"Steven, get your head and hands away from the lion's mouth," Pearl ordered which Steven awwed." He's harmless! I even taught him to say I luv you!"

Steven had the lion mouthed the words as he said 'I luv you'  for both the lion and himself, the lion let Steven do it." See?!"

"Steven, please step away from the lion and come with us back to the temple so we can properly deal with the Desert glass before it could escape and wreak more havoc," Pearl sighed, putting a hand over her forehead.

"It's a predator, Steven. We can't take the lion back, it's a wild animal. It likely has a family and a life, so you can't bring him back Steven." Garnet told Steven.

"Okay," Steven said, looking sad as he followed the Cyrstal Gems back to the temple.

Hours later, the Desert Gem was atop a pillow fort around Cobra who still recovering/sleeping with Amethyst and Steven in it, sleeping until a scratching noise was heard." Cobra?"

Amethyst said, thinking it was him waking up but realizes it wasn't and the pink lion scratching at the screen door." What the hell!"

Amethyst watches the lion for several seconds before she goes back to sleep, deciding to think it was a dream and not based on reality.

Steven was the next to wake up by the pink lion's scratching at the door." Pink lion?"

He yawned, rubbing his eyes and looking at him again." You followed me?"

"And want inside?" Steven mumbled, looking around seeing if Amethyst or Cobra was awake but neither were." Should I let you inside? I mean you're big and I don't think you'll like staying here."

Steven got up, and walk outside but was stopped as Cobra snores loudly as a shadowy figure came nearby and disappears through the floor." Heh?"

The pink lion roars getting Steven's attention to him." You need something, bud?"

He smiles while something snores loudly which was Amethyst letting out the snore, sleeping through the pink lion and Steven with Fellrex remaining still as ever.

The Desert Glass glows faintly, lightning up the room. It didn't last for long before it started to fade, dissolving back into the darkness of the night and the room.

Hours later, it was day and Steven was trying to get the pink lion to catch the ball." Come on, I thought cats were supposed to like playing with balls."

"Steven, that's the domestic dogs humans have bred and tame over thousands of years. And this is a lion, likely from Africa and can hurt you if you aren't careful. Like most lions would if " Pearl said as the lion gets up and rolls the ball over to Steven.

"Hah! This one seems really tame, Pearl. Not 'dangerous' and 'unpedaible'!" Amethyst snorts, holding back a laugh.

"Yay!"

"That is. .. .. . Distruding but why is he pink? As I recall, no lions are this colour, unless it's a freak mutation." Pearl said, thinking

Flashback ends.

"Then the lion left after the Gem glows but kept fading and then Pearl got Amethyst to bubble it after bothering her for awhile and then Lion came back..." Steven finishes when noises were heard.

"Umm. Steven, the lion... It's back?" Amethyst said confused as the lion broke down the breach house door, racing inside and lays down.

"Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You're back!" Steven said going to hug him but Fellrex stops him and looks at the pink lion, the ancient presence becoming overwhelming for a second. Covering the kind presence that came from Steven but weakens once the lion didn't react to either presence.

"Can we keep him?!" Steven asked, hugging the lion." I mean, I know having a pet is a lot of responsibilities but I want to try!"

Fellrex raises his arm, and rubs his forehead." It's something you need to talk about with everyone, Steven. You need Pearl and Garnet to talk about this. .. . Lion?"

Stares at the pink lion who looked context in where he was. Steven looked at him with pleading eyes, trying to beg him and Amethyst.

"Pleaaaaaaaaassssssssssseeeeeeeee!" He said

"We'll keep him," Garnet said, appearing from nowhere with Pearl.

Fellrex snorts, blushing blue lightly.

"Are you sure it won't hurt Steven or we can keep it?" Pearl asked,

"We kept Amethyst, we kept Cobra." Garnet retorted
