*NOTES, This is an AU, I've had in mind for a while now. This is just for fun and is full of my headcanons, thoughts, OCs and personal views of STEVEN UNIVERSE. Another thing, I do not own Steven Universe at all! Everyone cannon to it belongs to the rightful owner of Rebecca Sugar, as I only owned the Au idea mostly, the Original Characters and the story plot!

Another thing, I will accept feedback for this as it grows, although be specific and explain as best you can make it out to be.

Steven View.

It was raining outside and tonight, it was movie night that everyone watches. This time it was my turn, and we were about to finish Lonely Blade IV, where the Lonely blade defeats the shadow Samurai government.' It was better than it sounded.'

I thought to myself, humming as battle music played as the final fight started.

Cobra was on the roof watching it, and Amethyst Pearl and Garnet were on the couch with me. Amethyst was trying to sneak eat all the popcorn from me. Cobra grips the roof tight, you enough for me to hear him.

"C, here!" Amethyst shapeshifts her arm towards him with popcorn.

"Thank you.." He said while the movie plays.

"It was you!" Lonely Blade cried out at a figure." It was you who killed my brother and the one who curses me to fight forever!"

The villain reveals a sword from the mop they were carrying." You think you can defeat me!? The president of the Shadow Samurai government!"

Lonely Blad unsheathed his swords and fuzes his swords together into one single conjoint sword." BOOMERANG BLADE!"

He yelled throwing it at the president who blocked it with a single finger." PIECING SHADOW OF A THOUSAND..... SCREAMS!"

The president vanishes.

"Woaaaaah," I said, amazed by the show and boomerang blade attack." Boomerang blade sounds awesome!"

"And the janitor the evil president, who knew!?" I said as Amethyst snickered with Pearl complaining about how fake the swordsmanship was.

"Pearl it's just a movie." Cobra had said." You couldn't even tell?!"

She laughed." It was fuc- fudging obvious, Steven. The janitor was in every fight screen, heck he's even on the cover."

She pulled up the cover of the movie we were watching." Go Lonely blade, go!"

"Use boomerang blade!" I cheered to no one in particular.

"This is just ridiculous, from the misrepresentation of the ancient sword arts even their forms are a mockery of it. This is nothing like real sword arts." Pearl complains while it continues.

"It's just a movie, Pearl. It's just made up," Eating a fist full of popcorn I took from the popcorn bowl.

"How about you show him some of this ancient sword-fighting art," Cobra suggested." Or are you staying that you can't fight anymore?"

Pearl glares at Cobra but smirks shortly after.

"Are you showing a willingness to fight me now? And issuing a challenge to yours truly?" She said.

I was paying more attention to the TV but also listening to them." Maybe, but if either of us is willing to fight and possibly lose shards of ourselves."

"No losing shards." Garnet stated." Ever"

Amethyst snorts indigently at the unspoken joke.

"Hmm?" I said paying closer attention.

"Can I see it?" I asked but nobody answered me.

"Tonight, early and when Steven is finally rested and after my second res-nap... The nap of tomorrow's sunrise." Cobra hissed.

"Very well," Pearl said as the movie continue.

The movie continues until it was over and everyone went to do their things. Pearl with clearing, and Garnet to her room, Amethyst made a sandwich made of a lot of different items and Cobra disappeared, properly in one of his napping spots.

Pearl View.

'He seems awfully confidence like he knows he would win against me.' I thought, the recent memories ever since his explanation about his dual nature with his Gem.' How strange it must be for him, being two different Gems but not a fusion? Maybe he should talk with Garnet or attempt to find a sort of balance between the other parts of him within his Gem.'

But why did he challenge me or did he not mean that? Maybe he wanted a fight or to see how strong he is compared to us. Maybe to test how strong he has become since he came to Earth. Maybe he just wants a fight as simple as that. Maybe he's bored after like Amethyst his main pastime is napping or disappearing to wherever.

I walked around the room, looking for the perfect sword to fight with. Eventually settling on the Foils and Rapier before settling on a Foil, light and meant for duelling. Not quite for direct combat but it might work for tomorrow.

'It might work. Yes, it would work. Tomorrow, it would do.'

At the cloud arena, after Steven got breakfast and woke up. After Cobra woke up from his second nap, again. He stood there watching me as his hand was gripped onto the right elbow where his Gem was located.

A spear was bought out of my Gem. I observe Cobra who appeared to be tired and yet he seemed to be alert and staring.' He focuses on getting up close and personal when he fights. His punches pack a lot of power, keep a distance away and focus on wearing down his defences and himself. Make him impatient, make him get clumsy and then give the final strike.'

I readied myself, preparing for Cobra to summon his wings. Which would make it difficult to reach him and made it easy for him to hit me without being hit back with those wings of his.

Narrowing my eyes and scanning for weakness. Steven's cheers and Amethyst's demands for action faded into the background where I made the first move, aiming for Cobra's shoulder to disable him as quickly as possible.

He dodges narrowing missed me as I contorted my form to try and hit him again.

I landed as Cobra rolled, jumping back onto his feet and sliding several meters.

"Good one, Pearl!" Steven yelled as they watched intently.

"Why thank you, Steven, but let us focus," I said staring intently at Cobra who looked neutral.

He runs towards me, left arm up about to strike me but I was able to move out of the way knocking him over with the spear and causing him to land on his face.

But a punch swift hits me as Cobra teleports away as disappears, not appearing anywhere.

I went on full alert, listening closely for any noises of flapping of wings or his landing, eyes scanning for any hint of smoke or mist nearby from Cobra teleporting but none came. Tension was knawing at the back of my mind as he didn't appear or make his presence known.

The sound of something scraping the stone and soft noises, Cobra came from nowhere with smoke coming out of his mouth.

He breathes smoke into my face making me cough trying to get that foul smell away from me, then I was knocked down by something.

I squark startled by what he did. He stood over me with his wings briefly out then fading into nothing shortly after, before grabbing my spear and throwing it away.

Cobra quickly turn away while he threw my spear away.

I summoned another spear, quickly slashing his back making him shriek in pain or was it in fear?' Force him back, make him surrender or just outpace Cobra? He can't last that long, he sleeps so often but yet he's hiding power and experience behind those tired eyes.'

I had to dodge again as Cobra attempts to hit me with his good arm again forcing me to keep dodging, he wouldn't stop. He just kept hitting and hitting me, not once letting up.

"Cobra!" I shouted as his hand hits the spear causing a loud clanging noise-making Steven to wince at how loud it was.

"Yes?" He said close to my face, hand clutching the spear tightly trying to remove it from me while I held it for the life of me.

"You have an advantage regarding close combat involving your fist," I commented, heels digging into the ground trying to keep my ground against Cobra.

"And?" He said, as his limp arm twitched with life.' What if?'

A thought came to me, it might work.' But I have one chance for this to work.'

Cobra pushes my spear and me to the ground ever so slowly, losing ground rapidly as a holo Pearl flicker behind him with a spear aimed right at his form.

"And yet, you seem to lack certain features," I added as he hums a bit.

"Such as?" Cobra asked when the holo Pearl thrusts the spear toward Cobra, going through his form and through mines.

For a second everything was still with shocked silence. 

Cobra looked at me and I stare at him, unable to respond.

"Pearl/Cobra!?!?!?!" Steven or was it Amethyst or Garnet? said that.

Until a scream pierces the heavens.

No One View

Pearl fell to the ground as the Crystal Gems rushes towards her with Cobra crunching the wound. Steven was the one who was screaming.

"Woopsie daisy looks like I won't be coming back soon," She said as she disappears into a cloud of white smoke leaving behind a white Gem.

"Pearl!" Steven yelled crying, heartbroken confused, scared and confused.

"Is she dead!?!" He asked.

"Steven, breathe," Garnet ordered, trying to calm down the crying Steven.

"B- but," He stutters hiccuping as he cried.

"Breathe," Garnet repeated rubbing his back to smooth Steven further.

"Okay?" Steven said as he calmed down.

"Relax! Pearl'll come back in a while!" Amethyst added, floating down on a cloud that came from nowhere.

"What do you mean?" Steven asked, crying still as Garnet knees to his level.

"Gems when damaged or hurt can heal within their gemstones." Garnet taps Pearl's Gem." She will come out, it's just a matter of time."

"It usually happens to me," Amethyst said.

"Always to me." She corrected, as Cobra snorts laughing a bit but winces in pain soon after.

"So when will Pearl come out? Ten minutes, twenty? And what about Cobra? Why hasn't he poofed yet?" Steven asked as everyone looked a bit uneased to tell him the truth.

"Much longer than that, Steven." Fellrex whines." And the reason is I'm too stubborn, no I won't explain further, no I won't tell you why no matter how many times you ask Amethyst or Steven."

"Try four we. No, wait ..." Corbra pauses." A month." He corrected himself.

"Really?" Steven said, sniffing as he calmed down.

Two long weeks later, Steven had a hoodie on staring at Pearl's Gem that was in a basket with a blanket wrapped around it and a heat lamp.

"When you're coming back, Pearl?" He sighed, checking it for what could have been the one hundred and fifteenth time.

"Wassup," Amethyst said as she descends from nowhere in particular.

"Pearl hasn't come out yet," Steven reported.

"Listen, she'll come out when she's ready." Amethyst said." Also, Steven Cobra's been riding my back to make sure you aren't spending all your time here and not say outside as he quotes 'hanging out with his human friend Connie' or 'being with his father' or whatever."

Steven nods, not paying much attention to Amethyst.

"So umm... Hello?" Amethyst said tapping Steven's head.

"Wha?" He said.

"I um..." Steven struggled to form words.

"Got it, Amethyst." He added suddenly, the conversation catching up to his brain before realizing something.

"Where's Holo-Pearl?" Steven asked suddenly remembering it.

"Don't know, think Garnet put it somewhere after it slices Cobra's weird thing in half." Amethyst shrugs as the Holo Pearl was being subjected to Fellrex and King's argument.

Pearl's gem began to glow, a silhouette of her going through clothing.

"Pearl!" Steven yelled,

"Finally," Amethyst said
