My dearest, loved, beautiful, brave, brave Izuna.

I can't believe we're here. I can't believe we're finally, finally staying here. I haven't told you, but I've had fantasies about this moment from the moment I laid eyes on you. It was well before you saw me in the club; I was looking at you from the moment you ordered your two drinks. And I don't know what got into me, but I started imagining you in a wedding dress. Just thinking about you in one makes me shiver in anticipation. You will be beautiful; oh you will be SO beautiful. To this day I don't understand what I've done to deserve you. Quite the opposite; I've done so much that should've caused you to hate me. That you're here with me, making me your husband, just manifests how incredibly big your heart is. You are the kindest man I have ever met.

I realise with great shame that I never truly apologised. It seemed futile, somehow. I know no words could ever make what I did undone, that nothing I said could make what you have gone through any easier. I know you respect how it affected me, too, but Izuna, my love, know this; I would go through everything again, hundreds of times, just to keep you alive. The world without you is no world worth existing, a planet which you are not walking on completely worthless. Izuna, you are everything to me, and I'm sorry. From the bottom of my heart, I am so, so sorry. I would do anything to make it all untrue, but I can't. I am giving my life to you, I am giving my entire soul over to you completely, and it would be an honour if you accepted it. I promise to always do my best to keep you safe, to do you right. I promise to trust you with my life, with my heart, with my soul, as you trust me with yours. I promise to do my all to give us a happy, safe and stable future together, where we will live side by side, njoying the little things that comes with being married, of cooking and cleaning and doing laundry, of playful sex and sinful play, of careers and holidays and trips abroad.

Izuna, you have given me my life, and for that I am ever grateful.
