"Hey," he says, moving to stand in front of me, walking backwards to keep us moving. "You can do this. You've done wonderfully so far, right? You've discovered many things about yourself and re-discovered things you thought were lost."
I smile. "Right. Sorry, it's just my default to doubt myself."
"After this journey is complete, that will be different," he says, smiling widely.
He turns again to walk beside me, and we continue along the trail, still damp from the earlier rain.
"That's a bit literal," I say under my breath when I see a mirror entangled in some vines leaning up against a large tree.
"I thought it would be less overwhelming if I made it a bit whimsical," Taehyung says, scrunching up his nose as he gestures to the mirror. "Go on then. Look at yourself and tell me what you see."
I sigh, sending Taehyung a polite smile before walking up to the mirror and staring at my reflection. It feels a bit odd to see myself again after just talking to two clones of myself, but I push the feeling away as I concentrate on the task at hand.
"What do you see?" Taehyung repeats.
I scoff as my eyes fall to the ground. "I see a lot of flaws."
"Oh? Humor me and tell me a few of them," Taehyung says, crossing his arms over his chest.
I blink away the tears. "Do I have to?"
"I promise I'm going somewhere with this," he says in a gentle tone.
