Chapter 4
Yoru's POV
Aphrodite was jerking and screaming on the floor. Izumi and Hana were pinning her down.
"What's going on?!" Akairi dropped her bags, running right over to Aphrodite. I had a bad feeling about Aphrodite. She wasn't herself. It was making me angry. My knees hit the floor. Grabbing at my shirt I ripped the colar open. It was choking me. My stomach twisted inside. I saw my tail, and heard it thump around. A growl or two escaped from my throat. My wolf ears formed. The nauseous feeling of me about to puke my insides out. My ribs cracking. There was a body length mirror on the wall to my left. Making my way there I saw that I had shifted. My fur coat was beautiful. I guess, beauty really is pain.
As I turned to Aphrodite, I saw her knock Akairi over. Hana and Izumi were no match for her new strength.
Instinct took over and I tried my best to pounce on Aphrodite, knocking her back to the floor. I snarled and snapped my jaw a few times. I struggled with this newly developed strength Aphrodite gained somehow. Usually I would dare try to hurt her, but my sense told me this wasn't Aphrodite.
Akairi regained her balance and helped me with pinning. Aphrodite had most likely used a possesion spell. One to summon a demon. It probably got out of hand. Wait..... What am I thinking?! Of course it got out of hand?! SHE'S POSSESSED BY A DEMON. Though if this is true, why haven't we been thrown against the wall and kiled by now? There is a way that Aphrodite could still have some control. She could be fighting with it, to regain control of her body.
I had an idea, but how was I supposed to share its brillance with the others if I was a wolf. I didn't know how to shift back into a human. It just happened when it happened. I needed it now, but my body refused. I thought my words I wanted to say to everyone over and over again. I kept this up. I struggled, and strained my head. I growled and barked but nothing......
Until finally Akairi's head shot up at me.
"Yoru? Yor-" Hana inturrupted wanting to finish the sentence.
"Did you just say something?!" Hana said before Izumi now finished.
"In our heads?!" Izumis face was priceless.
'Tell Hana and Izumi to grab one or two towels, two candles, chalk, a razor or knife. Akairi, position her with her head laying in your lap. pin her by her shoulders. We also need matches. And salt.'
I said the words in my head trying hard to send them the message. My guess was they unsderstood me, because everyone started doing what I successfully messaged them. Akairi and I didn't struggle much with our situation (pinning Aphrodite down) while the others gathered the necessary supplies. I had her arm in my mouth (gross) and my paws on her stomach and chest.
The longest five mintues of my life had passed. Hana had all the ingredients while Izumi put them where I somehow told her.
Before all this random nonsense, I used to read books about werewolfs. Their role in greek mythology and other interesting things. Tales. There is this one tale that stuck out the most to me. About a hunter who cut off a wolfs paw. He stored it in a pouch. Once he reached home, he searched his pouch for the paw, but found a womens hand instead. Surprised, the man noticed the hand had a wedding ring on it that was the exact same ring he had given his wife. He searched for his wife and found her in their kitchen aiding her injured arm. He unwrapped the cloth she was using and found that she was missing a hand. Fun things like that.
Back to reality, there were now candels placed beside Aphrodite's head. The lights flickered off. Akairi placed a towel on Aphrodite's forehead.
'The other towel is for Akairi. It's to hopefully try to stop the scent of blood from overcoming you for a little bit. We probably need to do this fast.'
I strained my head so much hoping they recived even just a little bit of my message. Akairi nodded her head, she recieved it. What was to happen to Aphrodite needed to happen quickly and correctly or else she could be gone for good. The candles were lit, and Aphrodite let out a roar of pain. This was horrible. Why was Aphrodite messing with possesion spells?
I sent a symbol to Akairi. I kept sending it. The picture of it from a book I once read flashed several times until i got the clearest picture of it. I sent and I sent. Akairi started to carve it into her wrist. I used most my strength to keep Aphrodite down. Carving and carving, this needed to go faster.
"AHHHHH!!!!" Aphrodite screamed a horrid scream. Her voice was low, and obviously demonic.
"EH!" Hana squelled. I barked in her direction, giving her a warning that she needed to control herself. There was already to much pressure at it is. Akairi was carving just above Aphrodite's veins. There was blood spilling everywhere. The scent of blood was strong, and although Akairi had the towel it wasn't working. I didn't expect it to.... Her eyes were becoming a pitch black. No... This needed to hurry. What was the next step? Have I forgotten?I've read books about all this!
"LET ME GO!" Aphrodite, or the demon spoke through her. It had not developed full control over her yet, which is why we were able to excorcise it. Somewhere in this body was Aphrodite fighting her hardest, exactly why we couldn't give up on her.
I remembered. We needed to burn the symbol, and chant.
'Burn the symbol!'
I messaged Akairi. I also sent her pictures of the words of the chant, which was in latin.
Izumi grabbed a match and lit it. She hurried and lit Aphrodite's wrist on fire. Cool thing is the symbol was the only thing that burnt.
"AHHHH!!" A stream of somethig dark and cloud like escaped Aphrodite's mouth. She jerked and screamed. It was the demon escaping her. This was now all over. The demon vanished in mid air. This was all to much. Everything was going black, and I fainted....
