Yoru's POV

I woke up to the loud sound of my alarm clock. Me all of a sudden becoming a wolf (my hearing, smell, sight, taste were all now advanced) the sound pratically murdered my ears. Jumping, I noticed where I was, and what I was. I was a wolf, in Akairi's room, but there was no sign or her. Just everyone else sleeping on the floor. I found a note on the nightstand to my right. Reading;

Pool -Akairi

The pool? Vampires like swimming? Hm. Okay, then. Akairi and I both live together so I got up and went straight to my room. I pulled on a pair of black sliky swimming shorts. Pulling on some comfy gray sweats over them. I then searched for a bikini top to find a black one with white pentagrams. To top it all off, I pulled a black shirt over and walked to our indoor pool. But before, I went back to Akairi's room to see if Izumi, Hana, or Aphrodite had woken up. No sign of anyone ever being awake, just as I expected.

Walking down the hallway , I quickly turned around to find Izumi beginning to fall. Quickly, I rushed over to keep her from being hurt. Her shoulders fell into my hands. Her legs were no longer legs, but a full grown, shimmering, orange, scaley, and a bit shiney looking mermaid tale. It automatically moved upward, then flopped onto the dark furnished wooded floor making a thump.

"Izumi.... You alright?" I managed to lean her against the wall. Her skin was dry and she struggled a bit for air. The pool....

"I can't breathe well." Her words were rough and dry sounding. I picked her up bridal style, because over the shoulder was even more uncomfortable, plus would make it even harder to breathe.

"The pool should help." I told Izumi. I ran towards the room that would lead us to the pool. I fiddled at the door knob, but it wouldn't budge. I could try my first howl to get Akairis attention, but that would disrupt Aphrodite and Hana's slumber. So I used what every wolf has.... Strength. I broke the door open with my shoulder. Running towards the end of the pool, I gently placed Izumi in. And in a few seconds she took the biggest, easiest breath.

"What happened?" Akairi's voice came as a surprise. She was beind me. Turning, I saw her glance was over to the busted door.

"Izumi transformed and couldn't breath. The door wasn't being very helpful, so I broke it," I was shocked by the damage I caused. "I'll fix it don't make it a big deal." I told Akair, knowing she'd most likely lecture me if I didn't say something. My attention was now on Izumi who was practicing flips, she nodded at me which meant she was fine. I flinched as I felt a bit of a burning near my ears, and my lower back.

"Yoru, your ear and tail are coming back!" Akairi pointed out. Looking downwards I saw my black and gray tail swinging. I touched my ears that flickered in response. I heard really loud movement from Akairi's room. Senses told me she went to check things out. On the other hand I believe I was shifting for the first time. What should I expect of this?

I felt an awful burn in my stomach, and it twist in different ways. Every inch of my body burned and stung. My vision was out of control, and so was the pounding of my head. My skin was now changing into a wolf's flesh and fur coat. My hands were now paws with claws that were ready to tear through anything. I pawed my way to the edge of the pool. I could see my reflection. My eyes were glowing a crimson red. I snapped my jaw. My teeth looked razor sharp. Tilting my head up, Izumi was not far away from me. She was in shock. Hell, I'm the wolf I'm more shocked by what I can turn into! She just floated still in the center of it all. Finally she managed a scream that about killed my ear drums. I growled.

"Ahhh!!! Akairi!" She swam furhter away, It looked as if she was still getting the hang of the whole using her tail thing. I heard Akairi's footsteps, along with Hana and Aphrodite's.

"Ahh! No!" Hana freaked out.

"Holy fuck!" Aphrodite unsurprisingly cursed.

"Yoru!" Akairi squealed.

I growled at them three as well and they all took steps back. I hated this much attention, they all should just ease up. I'm not sure if I can control myself like this. Am I that much of a monster already?
