Prologue

Some stories are in written in words, others will speak it out, but others in their own minds. how? you may think. Well- let me tell you the story about the deaf girl and the blind bowman.

It was just like any other day for Kainda. Waking up, getting ready for her job in the local tavern, only to notice that her father Juan was gone once again. Her father was a hunter who provided every single thing to the tavern such as wild animals and kinds of wine and other rare food.

Of course, Kainda was proud of him and how he tried to save the town in its own way but she remained worried about him every single time he left. Juan was sick. But not just sick. He was chronically ill. Or so the doctors had told her. There was no way to cure him anymore.

Despite all that, Kainda's father kept hunting for his people. His daughter admired him, considered him a hero even, wishing she could just be like him in the near future.

The young woman took place on a wooden chair and took one of her pencils out of a little, glass box with some red roses carved into the sides. The box itself had a kind of halo-effect, which made it more mysterious and futuristic looking. The box had belonged to her mother once before she passed due to the flue. And being the only heir she had it passed on to Kainda.

With a small smile she started to draw a black rose in a journal she'd liked to keep as a diary of some sort. In this book she wrote all her adventures, mistakes and happy moments. Just like today. But this day, she had to write something very important down. Something important to her that she absolutely couldn't forget. What? You might think. And what is that meaning of the Black Rose? Well.. that is what this book about. We will discover it together.
