(3rd POV)

A black plain surrounded Y/n, stars speckled all around. The shattered moon shone bright. A light breeze rustled Y/n out of his sleep.

He opened his eyes and saw two dragons hovering over him. One was a mix of black and purple, while the other was white and gold.

Y/n: Who are you?

Light: I'm the god of light and this is my brother, the god of darkness

Y/n: Gods... Salem told me something about you guys before

Light: That's what we wanted to talk to you about

Dark: We've made terrible mistakes on our lives. Giving her immortality was one of them, and know look at what this world is become

Light: Salem might not be here, but she still lives inside of that girl. It's time we right the wrongs we have done

Y/n: What do you want me to do?

Dark: We are going to take away her immortality. We've already done so to Ozpin and his soul has passed on

Light: The only problem is we need a host for all the darkness in that girls body. You need take away all of it

Y/n: Sounds simple enough

Dark: There is a great chance that you will die, y'know that right?

Y/n: Even if I do die, as long as Ruby and Neo live I'm ok with it

Light: Very admirable of you. It's time, right the wrongs us old gods have caused this world. Be our champion and save it

Dark: Weaken her Y/n, then maybe will you survive

Y/n shot up out of his unconscious state. His breath was heavy. He looked around and saw the destroyed land around him.

His eyes locked onto the new monster. The Grimm didn't affect him at all. He saw the slight change in footwork and knew it was going to charge.

With little time to spare he shot a spike right where it was aiming its attack.

(Ruby's POV)

I was frozen in fear. All I could see was my eminent death. My mind traveled to Y/n, and all the good times I've spent with him. I just wished I could have spent some more.

All of a sudden, Yang was hit with a black spike. I looked over and saw Y/n standing there glaring at Yang. His eyes had a red hue radiating off of them.

Ruby: Y-Y/n...

Y/n: Sorry about early Ruby... Can someone explain what that is though?

Y/n pointed over to Yang as she was prying herself free from his spike.

Ruby: That's Yang

Y/n: How did she become like that?

Ruby: She absorbed Salem... and k-killed Ozpin

Y/n: I see...

I watched as Y/n looked around. I wasn't sure what he was planning, but I'm sure he's come up with one that could help us win.

(Y/n's POV)

What a mess...

She's definitely strong, but I can beat her. I just need to push her over the edge and I'll win.

Y/n: Ruby, Neo I need you to keep pushing Yang to use more power. The more energy she uses the easier this will be for me

Neo: What do you mean for you?

Y/n: Don't worry about it. Just keep making her use energy

I focused my attention on that annoying bird. I swear I've lost sleep because of him stalking me. He shifted uncomfortably under my intense glare.

Y/n: Hey bird! Do you think you will be useful?

Qrow: W-What? Of course

Y/n: Good. You're gonna be the front runner

Qrow: What?

Y/n: You're gonna take protect them from incoming attacks and get Yang to target you

Qrow: Oh...

Y/n: Alright go!

(3rd POV)

Yang smashed away the last of the spike. She stared in rage as the 3 people started to rush her. The one farthest ahead was Qrow followed by Ruby and Neo.

Far in the back the person she hates the most caught her eyes. Her rage skyrocketed just by the mere sight of him.

She roared in pure anger. The ground beneath her shattered as she shot forward.

Qrow slid back as Yang smashed into him. Her clawed hand barley being held back by his blade.

Visible cracks started to form around her hand as she tightened her grip on his weapon. Qrow forced his sword into her hand and shot.

Her hand exploded into pieces, allowing him to free his sword. He jumped out of the way as Neo stabbed her umbrella deep into Yang's side.

Yang grabbed Neo by then throat as she tried to pull away, but staggered when Ruby ran by her slashing her other side open.

She grabbed onto Neo and used her semblance to reset there positions. Yang yelled in anger as her body regenerated. She aimed her hand at them, firing several spikes towards them.

Qrow slashed a few of them away, but more chips of his weapons flew off. Anymore and his weapon would be destroyed. He watched as the next spike cane right at him unimpeded.

A fireball flew by him and exploded the spike. Behind him Ruby had her hand extended with small embers flowing around it.

She was equally surprised as Qrow and Neo. He gave her a small nod, not wanting to worry about it right now.

They all looked over at Y/n as he crushed one of the spikes in his hands. He sighed as he cracked his knuckles.

Y/n: I wanted to save energy by not getting involved, but the amount of power she lost from that one attack was too little

Qrow: What's your plan then?

Y/n: Just keep attacking her. Try to make them good hits. It'll make this go by faster

Yang's sharp teeth gleamed as she saw Y/n take his position in front of them.

Yang: I can finally kill you bastard!

Y/n: You can try!

Both corrupted powerhouses charged at each other. The land around them being torn up with each step.

Sharp winds blew around them, stopping anyone else from engaging. Their fists collide with a tremendous bang.

Y/n: You've got some power, but...

The ground underneath them shattered each time their fists smashed into each other. Y/n dodged one of her attacks, transforming his hand into a blade.

He trusted his hand straight into her chest. The blade exploded out of her back, spraying darkened blood across the ground.

Y/n:...I'm far more experienced

Yang growled and Y/n, hatred burning in her eyes. She tried to grab Y/n but he ducked under it, and stabbed her several times in quick succession.

Before she could recover he placed his palm against her stomach. A black tendril shot out of it, knocking her away from him.

She left a trail of destruction as she skids to a stop. Her body slowly regenerating the damage done to her.

Y/n: I'm not very impressed Yang. I thought you would be stronger then this

Yang: Once you die my problems will disappear!

She crushed a boulder in her hand and chucked it. The pebbles were like a shotgun blast, tearing up everything it touched.

Y/n was able to dodge the rocks with ease, but he knew the others would have trouble. His body became a ecstatic beam of darkness as he shot in front of them.

He shielded his face as the rocks barreled towards him. He shut his eyes waiting for the impending damage, but felt nothing.

In front of him a wall of ice stood. He looked back and saw a line of ice on the ground leading to Ruby's foot. Small white particles swirled around her.

Y/n: You have more then one maiden power?

Ruby: Yeah...

Y/n: Do you think you can keep using them Ruby?

Ruby: I'm getting the hang of it

Y/n: That's good then. I'm gonna need you for this then

Ruby: What should I do?

Y/n: You're unbelievably powerful Ruby. Just let it flow through you and do what feels right. Neo keep her safe ok

Neo smiled at Y/n and nodded. Ruby look at her hands as she saw the red, white, and silver particles swirling around them. Even though she didn't fully understand the power, she would try if it means helping Y/n.

Ruby: I'll give it my all Y/n!
