(Ruby's POV)

Qrow and I have been fighting for hours. After the day they told me about what happened to me, I've been trying to get as strong as possible.

I still don't trust any of them. Apparently Qrow is actually my Uncle and the blond man in a coma is my father, but I still can't bring myself to trust them.

Qrow: That's enough for today. You're improved a lot Ruby

Ruby: Thank you. I'm not sure how tough the road ahead will be, so I must get as strong as possible

Qrow: That's a good mentality Ruby, don't lose it

I collected up my gear and went back into the house. My room was pretty bland, other then the weapons and parts scattered around.

The days exhaustion hit me as soon as I hit my bed, passing out instantly.

Dream Realm

I was floating in a black abyss. Pure darkness surrounded me. I felt my body jerk and I was pulled around the empty space. Images started to appear all over, none that I could remember.

Ruby: Where am I?

Dream Ruby (D.Ruby): Your mind

Ruby: Who are you?

D.Ruby: I'm you

Ruby: Then why am I here?

D.Ruby: There are many reasons why you are here Ruby. You have to decide why you have come here

Ruby: That doesn't make sense. I didn't mean to come here

D.Ruby: Is it because of all the conflicting powers that resides in you?

Ruby: The what?

D.Ruby: Or to learn what was forgotten?

Ruby: What do you mean?

D.Ruby: No... it's for Y/n

Ruby: Y/n... Can you show me what's my connection with him?

D.Ruby: I'm afraid I can't. Some outside force has locked away your memories. There is nothing I can do

Ruby: Outside force? How do I get rid of it?

D.Ruby: That's for you to discover

The dream version of Ruby started to break apart, cracks of light spread across the entire realm, until it shattered.

(3rd POV)

Ruby shot up, gasping for air. A cold sweat rolled down her face. She looked around, regaining her bearings.

Ruby: W-What was that?

She didn't have time to think, when a knock was heard from her door.

Qrow: It's time to start training again Ruby

Ruby: It's morning already?

Qrow: Yes, now hurry up

Qrow walked away, leaving Ruby to get ready. She rubbed her head to soothe the light headache she had. Ruby quickly got her training gear on and made her way outside.

Ozpin was sitting at a small table, under the shade of a tree, drinking from his bottomless cup of coffee. Qrow took a quick swig from his flask before stretching his arms.

Qrow: Lets get to it

Ozpin: Just like always Ruby. Try and land a hit on Qrow

Qrow and Ruby took their stances. Ruby took a few slow breaths, before gripping Crescent Rose. Qrow's nonchalant posture irritated her and she was determined make him take her seriously.

Ozpin: Begin!

Ruby dashes at Qrow using her semblance. Her scythe met with his swords blade. She jumped off of him, separating from each other.

Qrow started shooting as Ruby. She deflected and dodged the bullets as she charged at Qrow again. Ruby used Crescent Rose's recoil to launch her self up and slam down on Qrow.

Qrow slid back a little bit. He grunted slightly from the force of the attack, sliding back a little.

Ruby charged him before he could recover. Just when she was gonna attack, a splitting headache stopped her.

She held her head in pain as she collapsed to the ground. She looked around her, but everything was fuzzy and blended together.

(Ruby's POV)

I looked around, but all I saw was an empty space. It was devoid of any color and dull.

The realm started to morph into a dark forest. A trail of blood went down a lonely path. Up ahead I saw a girl, battered and broken, walking.

Ruby: Are you ok?

As I got closer I realized the girl looked exactly like me. She didn't even acknowledge my presence as if I wasn't real.

The girl tripped on a branch. I watch as she tried to get up, but couldn't. My eyes welled up thinking she would die, but a figure appeared out of the dark. He picked up the girl and took off with her.

The scene changed to a worn down room. It was lightly light with a candle next to the bed. I saw the girl sleeping soundly in the bed. Her wounds were freshly bandaged and face washed.

She rustled slightly before she woke up. She tried to get up, but retracted in pain. I could see the overwhelming fear in the girl's eyes as the door behind me clicked up.

I was completely surprised to see the person that had saved the girl, me, was Y/n. I couldn't comprehend that the person doing so much damage was my savior.

Ruby: But when did this happen? Why don't I remember this?

The realm soon disappeared and I could see the faces of Ozpin and Qrow as they looked at me. They both let out a sigh of relief.

Qrow: You ok Ruby?

Ruby: I think so...

Ozpin: I think that's enough training for now. Why don't you get some rest Ruby

I nodded silently and made way back to the house, but one thing was stuck in my head.

Who is Y/n, and how are me and him correlated to each other? What should I believe?
