(Y/n's POV)

Y/n: Why does it take so long to get to Mistral!

Neo: Stop complaining we are almost there Y/n

Y/n: But all we've done since we got up this morning was flying!

Neo: It was your idea to go to Mistral in the first place

Y/n: Don't remind me!

Ruby: It's not that bad Y/n. We should be there soon anyways

We were currently sitting on a Bullhead that we hired to take us to Mistral. If I knew it would take almost half a day I wouldn't of suggested it. All the shaking was also starting to get to my stomach too. Damn thing can't fly smoothly to save its life.

The copilot walked over to us, rubbing the back of his head.

Copilot: We're gonna have to drop you off outside of Mistral

Y/n: Why is that?

Copilot: They denied our request. Most of the surrounding places have as well

Y/n: Whatever as long as I can get off this damn thing

The pilots brought us down in a clearing by the road. They apologized for the inconvenience and wished them luck.

Ruby: How far do you thing we are from Mistral?

Neo: We could see it when we were landing so maybe a few hours away

Something feels fishy about this. Why would Mistral deny our Bullhead from landing, but I don't know anyone who should do all this. The pilots didn't seem to understand why we were denied either.

We continue down the road. Nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary and my semblance wasn't detecting anything, but I couldn't shake the feeling like someone is watching us.

Y/n: Something is off girls

Neo: I've felt it too

Ruby: Who do you think it is?

Y/n: I don't know... Keep your guard up

The forest is too thick to see anything inside of it unless it was at the tree line. My semblance finally detected something heading straight for me.

I quickly turned and swatted whatever it was away. Next to me a sword was imbedded into the ground.

(3rd POV)

A crimson portal opened up behind Y/n and a sword soon followed. Y/n had no time to react as it went straight through his back, protruding out of his chest.

He fell to his knees, coughing up large amounts of blood.

The girls stood there in shook. Their eyes widened in horror as Y/n collapsed to the ground.

Ruby/Neo: Y/n

Before the girls could move they were restrained by Jaune and Pyrrha. The Xiao Long/Branwen family and Ozpin came out of the portal and surrounded Y/n.

Yang: This is what you get for taking my little sister!

Tai: Damn Faunus! Once you die Ruby will be free from your brainwashing

Ozpin: I'm sorry Y/n, but you can't be trusted with Ruby

Y/n: Fuck You!

Yang and Tai both punched the sword deeper into Y/n's back, making him cough up more blood.

Raven: My tribe is guaranteed protection now right?

Ozpin: You have my word Raven

Y/n: I'll kill... you...  all!

Yang: You can't do anything mut! Have fun it hell freak

They all entered the portal, leaving Y/n on the ground, bleeding to death. The last think he saw was the fear and horror on Ruby and Neo's eyes.

He reached out for the portal as it closed. Y/n was completely powerless. All he could do now is lay down and die.

The last thing her heard was the voice of a pale woman standing over him. His vision was too blurry to make out her appearance.

???: My, My they did a number on you

Y/n: Who are... you?

Salem: Please call me Mistress Salem

Y/n:...

Salem: I can feel the hatred in you. It burns as bright as mine. Nothing can please you except revenge

Y/n:...

Salem: I can give you that. All you have to do is join me and I can save your life

Y/n: I'll... pass

Salem: What about the girls? Don't you want to save them?

Y/n stayed silent. He wanted nothing more then to help Ruby and Neo, but his wound was way to severe to heal. He was sure he was going to die.

Y/n: You... can heal... me?

Salem: Yes

Y/n couldn't find the strength to speak anymore. With the last bit of his energy he reached out the the figure and fell unconscious.
His bloodied hand was right in front of her foot, barely touching it.

Salem entered a blood red portal, carting Y/n. On the other side was the land of darkness. The birthing ground of all that is evil in the world.

Salem looked at the massive whole in Y/n's chest. She could heal him with her magic, but had a better idea. She brought him to a black pool and placed him in it.

A grin made its way onto her face as he started to sink into the black liquid. She was going to make Y/n into a masterpiece.

Nothing would be able to complete with him and she would have full control. Her path to victory was now just a stepping stone away.
