After the incident, Rood was interrogated by professor Baise. He had denied every part of the incident. He was later excused. Rood wondered the halls, then stopped to peice together what Chevel was talking about.

"Ro-Rood!" Dio yells after spotting Rood.

"Oh. Dio."

"You!" Dio clenches Rood's shoulders. "What happened to you? Is...Is it true...That you fought with Chevel?"

"Well...We did meet." Rood folds his arms and looks at Dio. "Since you're already here, let's pay Lidusis a visit, shall we." Rood took Dio by his arm and led him to the storage room. It was dark and compacted.

"Um...Rood. Rather than here...Don't you think he went back to the dorms?" Dio whispered to Rood. Just then, a box rattles and falls, causing Dio to flinch.

"Lidusis, what are you doing here? Digging?" Rood asks.

Lidusis never responded, instead, he sat behind a carton, shielding his body from Rood and Dio.

"Fine." Rood took a seat next to Lidusis behind the carton. "Let's talk. We've got time." Rood turns his attention to Lidusis. "I doubt the rumor about you turning into a monster is true. What's the reason you're being called a monster?"

Lidusis flinches at the question.

"It's...Related to Chevel, right?"

"You...It doesn't concern you. What happened, or didn't happen. It doesn't concern you at all" Lidusis brings his head down. "So please...Just leave me alone...Don't talk to me or approach me...Just leave me alone!"

"So...You're just going to live hearing others call you a monster?" Rood asks.

"Yeah. Since...I'm an actual monster."

Rood didn't say anything for a while, but continues. "Got it. If you don't want to talk about it, i'll just have to ask Chevel."

Lidusis turns and looks at Rood.

Rood simply smiles at him. "I just have to know why he's bullying you and calling you a monster. I'm just curious. So it doesn't concern you." Rood stands and walks away with Dio behind him.

"Rood, Rood!" Dio calls once in the hallway. "Are you really going to go talk to Chevel?"

"No, i won't. Even if i do, he probably won't tell me."

                                                                            .....

Dio found Rood the next morning in class. Hurrying over, Dio lifted note tags in the air. He handed them over to Rood, taking a seat beside him. "These are information i collected with all my power." Dio drops his head on the desk. "It was so hard. Everyone just ignored me when i talked to them."

"There's a lot. Everyone here has the ability to go against Chevel?"

"No...That's not exactly it. I looked into nobles and high-scoring students." Dio puts up two more note tags. "I don't know about the others... But these two will surely be of help."

Rood inspected the note tags that read Yutirien Meria Kansiole and Lapis Van Siph.

"Yutirien is the only royalty attending Helios. I hear she's getting special treatment from the school as a princess. Oh... And she's a Klad."

"Who's the other one?"

"The other one is Lapis Van Siph. He's the son of a duke like Lord Artian, but he's the sole heir to the family. Not only that... It seems Lapis and Chevel came to Helios at around the same time, but their relationship was really bad."

"Really? If he doesn't like Chevel, it should be easy to approach him."

"Yeah...But...There's a small problem. Since he entered Helios, Lord Lapis hasn't been able to advance form Idun. He's at the top of written exams, but it seems he doesn't have much talent in magic." Dio puts on a weak smile. "But even with that... Since he's a heir to a duke, popular, and hates Chevel...Wouldn't he be of good help?"

"yeah i guess..." Their conversation was interrupted by a loud knock at the front of the classroom.

"Everyone, attention. Professor Baise wants you to meet him in the eastern assembly hall for a practical training." A Klad with brown hair reported. "So...Guys, start moving." 

Rood scanned the crowd of students for Lidusis. Not finding him, Rood escapes through the back door along Dio. Haven searched everywhere, including the storage room, Dio was getting tired.

"Rood, let's give up now. We've done our best." Dio held up his hands. "We couldn't find lord Artian. We're late for class now,too."

"Fine,fine."

Dio looks at Rood as they walk back. "Hey, Rood. I've been wondering for a while now...Why are you so concerned about lord Artian?"

Rood tops and looks at Dio.

"I mean come on. It's not like you've known him from before. I don't see why you'd go through all this trouble to help him."

Rood couldn't find what to say, but finally arrives at an excuse. "Dio...Actually, when i was young, i...Was bullied...too."

"What?"

"I wan't called a monster like Lidusis, but to me...It was a painful experience." Rood turns away from Dio and makes a pretend sob. "When i see Lidusis... It's like i'm looking at myself back then"

"Rood..." Dio had a sympathetic face on.

The two found their way to the assembly hall. Dio was in front of Rood, and he stopped short behind the wall separating him from the scene in the assembly hall. Dio witnessed what went on in the hall. "What's going on here?"

"Dio...The lesson'll be-"

"Rood! Get back in there."

"What?"

"This is bad. We have to call the professor!" Dio panicked.

"Ma-Manon. What should we do?" The Klad who had showed up in Rood's classroom asks.

"We've already started it. What can we do?" Manon had demanded the attendance of the Iduns at the assembly hall. They all followed, believing it was a practical training. But what awaited them there were a handful of Klads, with Manon. Their practical training was a simple one, accorsding to Manon. All they had to do was hit the target. But as if the whole world had suddenly gone awry, their target was indeed Lidusis. Manon had planned this for Rood, but as fortunate as Rood was, he didn't show up. "Do what you want!" Manon was indignant at the absence of Rood.

"Now then, Let's get started. We shall give you a brief demonstration on what you're supposed to do." The Klad stood in front of Lidusis who was tied up to the immense target board. A Klad from the rowd picked up a mana stone from the floor and clenches it in his hands. It glows dimly, but bright enough for a Klad. With that, the Klad concentrated on LIdusis and aims. The stone connects with Lidusis's head and falls. Lidusis was left saying nothing. "That's what you have to do. All right. So, who's...Next?" 

     Fom afar, Dio watched. "Those...Crazy bastards. Rood! Hurry up and go call-" Rood was nowhere to be found.

                                                                              .....

There was a raised hand amidst the crowd, and everyone gasped. The Klad in charge was as speechless.

"Me. I'll give it a try." Rood waved his hand enthusiastically. Manon, with the little attention he was giving, was now taken aback by the sudden appearance of Rood. Lidusis was just as shocked as Manon.

"Well... Sure, go ahead. GIve it a try." The Klad announced. "Ah, of course. If you hit the monster,  you'll-" Just then, Rood had shot the mana stone. It hit the target board, barely missing Lidusis's head. IT had loosened him a bit due to the impact the stone had. The board now had a hole in it.

"I missed..." Rood reported. "That's too bad. Can i try once more?" Rood picked up another mana stone. "I won't miss this time." Rood looked at the mana stone while it shimmered a bright green in his hand. Rood was about to throw it again when the stone shattered and broke. Rood picked up another as if nothing had happened.

"H-hey! Wait...You..." The host Klad stammered.

"Lidusis. I'm throwing it. If you don't want to get hit...Dodge!" Rood launched the stone.

The stone was approaching at an alarming rate and Lidusis barely had time to think over it. Just in time, Lidusis leaped out of the way. The stone had swated the host Klad instead, knocking him out.

"Were you standing there?" Rood held his hand. "Sorry. You were in the way"
